  • The man on the left reminds me of Hugh Hefner

  • I grew up watching these guys and this is the first time I've ever seen this! This is great!

  • I spent the summer of '74 in Ohio, loved Hoolihan & Big Chuck, can't believe it's on utube after all these years.

  • Andy Griffith is a fantastic actor.

I have always love The Andy Griffith show.

  • Andy Griffith was a great star and always clean and you never heard nothing bad about the man.Loved him in All Sargents.

  • these are so good...bring backs many great memories

  • Heeee..Heee.. pretty good..if you want to see Andy Griffith in a great movie..rent "A Face In The Crowd".

  • Where do people dig up these rare clips?

  • Classic!

  • Oh, I see.

  • According to "Big Chuck" Schodowski's autobiography,"Big Chuck" just out over the weekend. Andy was very good to work with in this skit..He (Andy) was actually headlining a CBS-TV special called "The Andy Griffith Uptown-Downtown Show" with Don Knotts and Tennessee Ernie Ford, scheduled to air Tuesday, February 21, 1967, which is why Andy threw out those names as "people he knew" The book will be available by nest week in local bookstores..A great read..lots of good stories

  • "Matlock" likes his hot dog "all the way"

  • Good but Andy Griffith has done much funnier stuff!

  • rose:

Andy knew that..and so did the hosts..This was more of a plug for his CBS Special as a kind of "network-to- affiliate"thing..as WJW-8 was a major CBS affiliate at the time..

  • andy griffith is so awsome!thanks for posting!

  • classic!

  • Do you have the one where Lawrence Welk is on Talent Scouts?

  • Andy is awesome--Cleveland was a major player in those days-- thanks for posting!

  • The slate right at the beginning said the show was done on February 17, 1967..I believe it was done live, just a couple months after Hoolihan and Big Chuck's Premiere show on 12-16-1966. Andy's Birthday was June 1..Hard to believe Andy will be 81 in a few weeks..

  • thanks this is awesome

  • He said he was 40, and he was born in 1926, so we can deduce that it was taped in 1966. Fun (and odd) to see Andy self-deprcating and slumming with these local yokuls at the height of his success

  • Not sure when this video was made, but it is so cute...I love the ANdy Griffith Show. I watch it all the time.

  • LOL

    Great Post!
