That's what was ruining the shots rather a bit.

This rather helped me. To help you, I'd suggest using QuickTime to record your screen.

Not sure about the one you have in your dock, but on the latest version you just need to click File and then "New Screen Recording".

I'm sure it will record the screen better than the current one you seem to be using.

useful video to see new color grading interface but you don't really know what your doing when it comes to grading. its perfectly acceptable to alter the shadows in the colou tabr. As long as you alter the mids and highlights appropriately to even out the colour. for a lot of popular 'looks' this would be essential

This colour grading tool is pretty bad for control. I tried it with scopes and it is still hard to control. Why Apple ditched £10,000 worth of grading software in Apple Color is beyond me!

Shot by shot is a terrible way to Grade a project. Your second shot was clearly more red and did not match. Not blaming you, but the way FCP X handles color. Presets and "Color matching" is a pretty amateur way to Grade. Not happy with this update, they took pro grading from Apple Color, and threw it out of the window.

@Mikeint0sh I sure did, and he speculates that things will change...but what good is that A) coming from someone who isn't an Apple official B) if we have to wait months/years for updates to efficiently use a product that we already purchased? Where's the gamma curve for more advanced corrections? The ability to copy and paste attributes (INCLUDING MASKS)?

Not to mention, I've bought the ware the moment it came out, and I've had numerous crashes, and about 6 times my audio was missing from cut

I'm well aware that I can still use FCP7, my problem isn't with FCP7, it is with the program I paid 300 bucks for, that is useless to me now. Apple no longer sells FCP7 btw, What are people going to do when an OS upgrade renders FCP7 unusable?

My solution.... I've already started learning how to use premier. It's great for soccer moms, but most pros aren't going to wait for Apple to get their shit together.
