Great movie scene by W C Fields and the much married scandalous social diva, Peggy Hopkins Joyce. No one would ever imagine these two together in a bedroom!
wow, beautiful job. How can anyone not feel at his best with this music . Boy I missed Whitman somehow over the years. But, this is just gorgeous stuff.
Wow! Wow! WOW! I've been wondering what the name of this song was ever since I first saw "International House" in 1972! A great movie and a great song.
"Internationl House" in the Bedroom scene between W.C. Fields and Peggy Hokins Joyce.
Also co-starred Burns and Allen, and Oh yes.... Franklin Pangborn being his usual hotel manager prissy self (Don't let the Posey fool you!) th movie takes place in Woo Hoo China, the song was suppoesedly played on the radio by Long Tung and his Manly Mandarin. Movie was directed by Eddie Sutherland (at the time Louise Brooks Husband.)Great record by Whiteman.
GREAT SONG! -- That's where I heard this song and I remember that seen. I never new what the name of this song was until now. I saw International House a few times (1970's) at Theater 80 St Marks in East Village. I always wondered what that tune was.
Gee Whiz...I sure hope that after Planet-x Passes by that I can still watch Old 78' Records on U-Tube! ( wanna sit next to Me...and look what Iv'e got?)
Sounds great but the hissing is very loud.

Get an equalizer and put a weight on the disc to keep it from slipping.

Muted Trumpet solo is by Bunny Berigan at 2:10, this is at the period taht I think that Whiteman sounded his most polished.

Actually, this was recorded on April 4, 1933, and originally released on {American} Victor 24285...

The HMV press is probably a lot easier to find - the British were still buying records in 1933!
