The garden was perfect we were not, so i see what they are saying, sort of. It is half right because the garden was perfect. BUT we were not perfect and we only could hear Gods voice, so we could not of fallen from the garden. We fell from God`s presence, not from the presence of God. Their is more then the garden, we had to be with him before the garden.

David, you are entertaining, but you do have it wrong. You do not become a child of God until you are adopted. You do not receive adoption until you are bought with a price. You are not bought with a price until you have accepted the Atonement. Once you accept the Atonement by faith, you receive the Father's Spirit which makes you one with Christ and the Father because the Father is now in you. Once the Father is in you, you are saved. The Father will not lose one of His sheep.

Yes, the world will be redeemed to the state it was as in the Garden of Eden before "the fall". He is redeeming mankind that fell.

Luke3:23 is listing the lineage of Joseph not Mary. The Bible makes it pretty clear that Jesus was the product of Mary and The Holy Spirit-NOT Mary and Joseph. Therefore The lineage of Jesus has to start with Mary his only earthly parent. As far as I know the Mary/Yeshua linneage is NOT listed anywhere. It just seems counter to all of the logically based teachings that I have encountered within the christian church concerning the origins of Adam. I agree with pretty much every point you brought up but we know that only Jesus Christ was the only begotten of the Father in the flesh. We know that God created man and woman in His own image but the church does not have an official statement as to exactly how this was accomplished. And you made some great points about how we can each become sons and daughters of God based upon our acts (and of course we are literally spirit children of God) and so it does matter what we do and our actions.

Ok... more insite; Job. The Lord boasted of him to Satan and Satan said, "Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?" this signifies that the Lord was protecting Job from Satan's destruction. Then the Lord released His protection partially and said "all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand." So the Lord set the bounds of Satan's ability to destroy. Obviously the Lord can only protect the righteous.

Just as Satan tried to get Adam and Eve to partake of the fruit of the Tree of Life right after partaking the the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil so that they had no preparatory state in which to repent and thereby be redeemed. So the term "without mixture" is to say that right now His wrath is poured out mixed with protection. When it is poured out without mixture it will be in full concentration without being diluted. Alma 30:60 "...thus we see that the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell." here we see if the Devil had his way, as soon as we are wicked and "in sin" he would would destroy us but God holds him back hoping we will repent and come to Him.

Because according to Jacob the jaws of hell are gaping open to receive us but Jesus rescues us. However you'll find many Mormons that say hell is just a state of mind as if it's not that real, but its there gaping open after us at all times. hmmm

Now, of course we know, when we have been suffered to make wicked choices, God will destroy us if and when we reach ripeness in iniquity. But even then, it is because God loves us and His judgement are just because He allowed us to choose. I guess looking at it as chastisement, then yes God does punish the wicked, but it is usually in the form of spiritual depravity they bring upon themselves. What could be a bigger belief that I am a child of God and all that implies about our nature and his! I wanted to do it right and do it slowly. @davidlory good question... I the flood was a necessary cleansing and judgment from God after the people had been thoroughly warned by the prophets. I don't believe God stands by to punish those who disobey Him. Then we might say, well that person is sinning how come God isn't punishing them? God let's us live our lives and choose as we desire. The consequences of those choices (good or bad) will come, according to the laws of eternity, and we cannot choose what those consequences will be.

It's almost like destruction is always there, but is withheld because of God's power. Like he's always holding back the flood. So, he doesn't punish us, he just stops protecting us and then....

I believe the Trinity doctrine is what confuses this. "the spirit of adoption" scripture makes no sense if the Father and Christ are the same person. The way I see it is we are all children of God the Father - period. We can become "sons of God (The SON)" through the process of repenting, being baptized, taking on the name of Christ, etc. - which is pretty much like being adopted. Like if my biological father left - he's still my father, but the guy who adopted me is my daddy (Abba) also.

I want to agree except that I think the reality of hell is so real that it actually can cancel our celestial parentage (i.e. Satan). Would satan still be considered a child of God? Would the Father call him "my son"? Throw me a good scripture reference on this.

@davidlory Well if God is the father of our spirits(Hebrews 12:9) then yes even the "enemy" would be his child to that point. He just never kept his 1st estate (Jude 1:6) so he never got a body. So if Satan is a spirit and God is the father of our spirits then yes he is a child of God in that sense, he just disowned his father is all. That's my take on it.

@rkobilan That's interesting. However looking at the origins of masonry it seems that the Masons took the ideas from much older sources including 1st and 2nd century Christianity. Mormonism wasn't created based off masonry although there are parallels to it in the temple practices. Joseph Smith did put them back where they belong though. I'm not David BTW - he's the up-loader and actually has more details on the origins of masonry than I do. I didn't know about King James though - thanks!

George Washington was also a mason before they were infiltrated by the illuminati. I think masonry hearkens back the Egypt where they were taught the higher ordinances of Jehovah by Abraham.
