  • I had been able to find this particular operating perfectly by means of roulettecash#org, I was doubtful at very first, nevertheless they will allow me use the software package for free.

  • DANIEL CRAIG LOVED ANNA SLESARENKO!!!

  • Hey this is Amazing!

Is there an MP3 version of this?

    regardless I love it!

  • Comment removed

  • Please........make it stop

  • I know this was meant for QoS, but I do want to hear such wonderful music for future Bond films. We gotta bring that classic Bond sexy back!!!

This song has a Mediterranean flair, so it makes me think that Bond will be back in Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, or w/e, kicking ass and getting the babes as usual!!!

  • wonderfull son, great music, beautifully sung by jo harrop

  • Simplement excellent !

    Voix magnifique !

  • i cant say with words how much i love this song.

  • It actually is better than what Eon has done lately. I've been shaken and stirred!

  • This is pure old school Bond music, fantastic. It's a shame they didn't use this instead of Jack White's awful screeching.

  • hahahaha i agreee with you...LoL

  • this sounds like music from a fuckin shitty 80's porno. your a fuckin idiot. this sucks.

  • @pooisgood123 alright lets just put or opinion on here without being an asshole please. I mean for gods sake how old are you?

  • @rammsteinnut47 I'm 7 years old, and even I know that this is piece of shit. Fuck you!

  • It's like old school music.

  • @cveleninja Like from the Baroque period?

  • why would there be a movie lol?

  • You close your eyes and you know: This is pure James Bond, I can see this crystal ship. Thank you Jo Harrop! - Too bad the studio chose a different song ...and a different plot. - which I´m afraid does not have much in common with the classic Bond themes and missions.

Does anyone know, if there is a way where I can buy this song by this great jazz singer? Absolutely delighted!

  • sounds good, check out our accidental version.

"quantum of solace, the poet & the drunk"

  • This is sooo much better! But then, I am an old dude too. So, take it for what it worth, I like it. The one they chose SUCKS.

  • This song was given to Dame Shirley Bassey's managers to be considered as a possible future recording by her but we were told "the song is nice but it doesnt have enough range for the Dame"

  • Good music. Sounds like a classic song.

  • Where can I get a download of this song? It's great and should've been the choice for the movie!!

  • I think the song by Charlene is much better than this one. It is a bit emotionless.

  • Charlene's is ok, but I prefer Jo Harrop's version and/or Huck Whitney's version.

  • Check out the QUANTUM OF SOLACE - THEME SONG and video by Charlene Huskinson.

  • How gorgeous this song is!melody is good, your voice is good...so impressive! PIANOPLAYER155 is right,Alicia Keys and Jack White ruined the atomosphere.

  • why isnt this the theme? alicia keys and jack white have just ruined bond

  • Wow. You could dance a tango to this song. Very smooth.

  • FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • i think this is better than the hiphop soundtrack theme. why would you put a hiphop or beat style soundtrack to a bond film? personally, i like the chris cornell soundtrack from casino royale

  • This is much better than the crap I just heard from Alicia Keys and Jack White.. I almost began to cry when she started to sing.

This is not the best of the 007-22 candidates I heard though.

  • bad move for bond song to be sung by 2 pple. sucks sucks sucks!!

  • I agree with your comment about the White/Keys song which is horrendous. The Goldeneye theme did nothing for me, but I have learned that people's taste in music is as diverse as their taste in every other aspect in life. Interesting.

  • I think the last really great Bond theme was "Goldeneye". The rest up have either been okay, bad, or plain fucking awful. I don't think this theme would have suited a Bond film but it's miles better than the Alicia Keys and Jack White one I just heard.

  • People listen to music differently. David Arnold is mediocre, as there is nothing memorable about his music. I can't even remember the music from Casino Royale, but I never forget the music to A View To A Kill, Moonraker, and the other early OO7 films I mentioned in my earlier email. The World is Not Enough by Garbage was a good opening score, but only part of it, some of it wasn't good. I still feel that A View to a Kill was the last great soundtrack.

  • A View To A Kill was definitely the last great Bond song, though The Living Daylights and The World Is Not Enough were acceptable.

  • Dear minbds: I completely agree with you regarding The Living Daylights and (most) of the opening theme to The World is Not Enough. When I said A View To A Kill was the last great "soundtrack," I was speaking of ALL the music in the film, not just the opening theme. In other words, The Living Daylights and The World is Not Enough had terrific opening music, but in my opnion,no good music throughout the films. Thank you for mentioning these two good opening themes.

  • I disagree with some comments here..I think the present day Bond producers {Barbara & co} have made some very good desicions in recent years..one was bringing in Daniel Craig as the new Bond who I was a little skeptical of until I saw Casino Royale and also bringing David Arnold on board to score the films incidental music and of course compose the Casino Royale theme song which I really like..In my opinion they've made a huge mistake though this time choosing the White/Keys song for this film

  • No, I can't imagine it. Obviously, Broccoli was a producer but a producer doesn't necessarily have creative talent. Producers have business talent. John Barry was an absolute musical genius. In fact, his OO7 music is amongst the most beautiful ever recorded...anywhere. Aside from the openings, incidental music like "Capsule in Space" from You Only Live Twice, the underwater scenes music from Thunderball, and slower versions of Goldfinger in Goldfinger - were priceless.

  • Actually I saw a documentary once on the history of the Bond themes and it was said that Cubby Broccoli wasnt actually that enamoured by some of the John Barry tunes and wanted to replace them with other songs but Harry Saltzman stopped him..Can you imagine if Cubby had replaced all those classic Barry themes? I dont even wanna think about it

  • Hey, this sounds pretty good. I like it. Much cooler and smoother than the White/Keys song.

  • That classless, talentless Keys song should be used for some teenage comedy waste of film, buit not fuck up a James Bond film. When I first hear the Keyes song, I couldn't beleive my ears that such dirt was the opening theme. Whatever.

  • What a fucked up society when we can't even have a great opening music for a OO7 film. The last great soundtrack was 1985's A VIEW TOA KILL. There has not been ONE, not ONE great incidental music (atmospheric music throughout a film) since! As soon as John Barry was no longer involved, OO7 films have suffered.

  • Most of today's teenagers and 20 somethings only care about LOUD sound effects and LOUD crash scenes and PHONY computerized special effects. They have no clue about the aesthetic importance incidental music throughout a film, or a goose-pimple feel to a fantastic opening music such as GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE - and many others of the John Barry era. Some years ago, Barry himself publicly stated his anger abou tthe lack of good music.

  • I am emphatic that great music is the most important element of OO7 films. I love OO7 films more for the music than the girls or gadgets. Like everything else in this world, Bond is going to hell too. The next Bond film will probably have Snoop Dogg singing a rap song as the opening theme.

  • As I have stated before, it is all and only about MARKETING. EON is marketing to today's teenagers and 20 somethings - which are the majority of moviegoers. Albert Broccoli is dead and John Barry is no longer involved with the OO7 music. EON is comprised of yuppie people who (along with most, not all, but most of today's generation) don't know their asses from their elbows when it comes to music! They also don't care.

  • ..he also said I might add that they are also tired of all the phone calls they've been getting from people like me complaining about the "official" theme tune which is presently at number 64 in the Billboard charts

  • I called EON just last week to voice my and others dislike of Keys/White song and to let them know about this song and the girl at reception refused to forward any emails I had sent re: the theme song to any of the powers that be and then she proceeded to put me through to security who told me in no uncertain terms to stop emailing and calling them regarding this and to get lost basically cause they're not gonna change it

  • This is the first Bondmovie I will boycott because of the incredible shit song from Keys/White. This one here and the Whitney-Version is so much better. Why don´t they used it? Bond must have a great score. More than 40 years later we still hear Bassey, Barry and co - but Keys???

  • Yes, the other version you are alluding to is by Huck Whitney - from his album Black Diamonds. It was released yestersay and is available on iTunes. I agree, It is a good song version and there is an instrumental version too. Either Whitney's version or this Jo Harrop version should have been the title song.

  • I don't believe this, i'v now heard 2 different versions of the quantum of solace theme tune and niether of them were selected to be the bond theme tune.

and they decided to choose another wayto die?

    UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE.

You guys might of heard of the other theme tune but incase u haven't then Type "QUANTUM OF SOLACE JAMES BOND TITLE THEME TUNE V ANOTHER WAY TO DIE" from mukk64

Trust me this version is awesome.

  • two words: bloody brilliant!!

This is a great theme and i think we all have to agree, a 1,000,000,000 better that that alicia keys and jack white crap. i mean come on, it's like a rap song. the producers might as well stick a dress on bond and make him pick daisies throughout the film. the theme song is the key to a good bond movie. your song is excellent! that theme is up with the themes for goldeneye, a view to a kill, casino royale, and the world is not enough. 5/5mate!

  • Exactly. The next thing we'll see is Snoop Dogg singing the opening theme of a Bond film. This is the disgusting direction Bond films are going because of the type of generation that is being marketed to. These teens and 20 somethings have no appreciation of John Barry-styled music. All they know is loud action, computer effects. Great music (oening theme and incidental music) is what really makes great Bond films.

  • I agree with you 100%. I have just replied to a message sent by smasherhits, and I said that all of us strong bond theme believers should make up the correctly fitting theme, like this one, and send it to the producers and beg them to change it before the revealing. What do you think? Will it be to late?

  • I thank you for your comment. We are all grateful that there are indeed many young people like you that do appreciate quality music. Unfortunately, the producers have tunnel vision to marketing and they won't trash the Keys song. Quantum of Solace is to premiere on Nov. 14, so it is probably too late to replace the Keys song. It seems James Bond films are reflecting the disgusting direction that the world is headed. All the more will John Barry OO7 music days be appreciated and remain classics.

  • Nov. 14? here in NZ it releases on Nov. 7. anyway, It's a shame that they won't replace it, but maybe we can send it to the next movie. Daniel Craig has signed up for three movies. "Casino Royale©", "Quantum of Solace©" and one more. rumor has it that it will be based on the novel by Ian Flemming, "Devil May Care©" So, we'll just have to change he words from Quantum of solace to devil may care.

  • gotta be honest...this is lovely...and could indeed be a good bond theme...sadly another way to die is the comericial trash the producers have spat out to keep the teens coming to see bond. I am 39 and everytime a bond theme comes out i get a sense of excitement and then i watch the alicia keys thing...an otherwise fine singer songwriter...I just felt so depressed thinking how many unknown brilliant writers could have given the public much better (including my own 007 compositions).

  • EON is marketing the Alicia Keys song to today's youth, many of whom (like the Keys song)are "out of tune" and "off key." So of course they would like the Jack White/Alicia Keys version, and EON sees that! Unfortunately, films often reflect life and life today is far less classy than the mid-1960s when we had opening themes like Goldfinger, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice.

  • great song, 100 times better than the official crap!

  • i only had the chance to listen to the first 28 seconds of this song and from what i heard...this song is better than alicia keys' one

  • Yeah, Bond has moved on alright: He is not as handsome, the stories are more convoluted and there is no memorable incidental music throughout the films. Welcome to today. What is next? Probably a rap song as the opening theme

  • Sorry I stand corrected, That was an Aston Martin Vanquish in Casino Royale however he still to this day drives a 1964 DB5 and I'll tell you why cause its classic

  • It's an Aston Martin DBS in Casino Royale.

  • Well if Bond has moved on so much Mr. Bigfunkychunky how come he still drives a 1964 Aston Martin DB5? (See Casino Royale}

  • This is so weak. Thought another way to die could do with stronger voiced singers (Emilíana Torrini?), or just get rid of Ms Keys. I'm actually glad it's a proper Bond theme rather than a soulless, boring and one dimensional dirge. Bond has moved on. So should the music.

  • This is typical of a James Bond theme, cool classy and stylish and YES this is the version that should introduce the film.....can't help thinking Amy Winehouse could have done a great version if her head had been in the right place.....

  • I am convinced that Jo Harrop's version should be the opening for Quantum of Solace. I liked Huck Whitney's version - but it is more presentable for a western. Amy Winehouse's incomplete version was good, but the Jack White-Alicia Keys version is trash. It is obvious that the OO7 producers of today are marketing to today's generation, much of which has no class, no appreciation for John Barry-styled music, but OO7 music should retain the integrity of its classy and charimatic signature.

  • Beautiful. This should be the opening version of the new OO7 film, not that untalented Key's version.

  • This is amazing & should definately be the real song instead of Alicia Keys/Jack Whit version..I'm a female Bond fan and I think their versions awful too..Hey everyone have u noticed they keep removing the Jackwhite/Alicia version from youtube saying its cause of a "copyright claim" from Sony/Bmg?..I think its cause they cant handle all the competition from songs like this and all the negative comments on thier song {lol!!} My friend told me this was the one Amy Winehouse was supposed to sing

  • So superior to that white striped fool and the insipid ganglion he has roped into his watery classic. This SHOULD be the theme tune...no justice!

  • This is impressive. Extremely well done and kudos to the singer/writer for actually managing to fit the phrase "quantum of solace" into a song without it sounding awkward.

  • I cannot believe Keys and jack white make a song to the new bond film and can't deliver.I have already heard 2 awesome songs that people have made that can be possibly for the opening of the bond movie.I mean We hire pro's to do it and we got all kinds of people out there that are way better than the pro's.All I got to say is what a shame. This is execellent man I hope something happens.Cause on opening day it makes the film look real dumb!

  • Hi a big Thankyou for all your nice comments regarding this song..I think most people are upset with their choice of "Official" Bond theme for "Quantum Of Solace"..We approached EON and Amy Winehouse's management a couple of months ago with this track but never heard anything back..I doubt they even listened to it as we were told they usually prefer songs submitted through a music solicitor (lawyer}

  • Can you tell me where I can get a download of this song? It's a great track!!!

  • The begining of this song sort of sounds like the Phantom of the Opera, you know like one of those tunes you get in old horror movies from the 40's.I heard that this was originally was going to be the new Bond song, and boy this song is a million times better that the crap that has turned out to be Another Way To Die,is it true that Amy Winehouse was going to sing this song in the finished version??

  • wow, i quite like this, way better than Alicias and Jacks... this would be absolutely superb if Winehouse did this. can imagine every word sang by her :)

  • It's brilliant. Brings back memories of Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only and All Time High. It's much better than the "official" song.

  • sounds a bit like Sade singing...actually not too bad.liked it

  • this better not be the song!

  • Music and vocals are absolutely stunning, brilliant. The lyrics however are terrible, completely contrived. But big kudos on everything else.

  • Oh yes, what an amazing Bond theme. I can really imagine the opening animation to this songs. Green tree-like creatures moving through the picture and grabbing the screen in a way catching the rhythm (the company QUANTUM is said to be going green in the movie).

    Very Bond-like.

  • One word can describe the feeling I get listening to that song: PLEASURE!!!

Well done, your job is simply GREAT with a little regret that the theme has already been chosen...

However I'm so pleased to remind me of the old songs such as "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Moonraker" and congrats to the chilling singer of your theme...with such a voice it's hard not to imagine her in a Bond work ;-)

  • I loooooove this song and the signer is sexy

  • I love this song and the sexy singer.

  • Wow!! great sultry, sexy singer and what a Brilliant song..This composer makes John Barry sound like a 3 year old playing around with his mums pots and pans..pure Genius!!!

  • Jeez this is not good at all... i'd say this is GREAT!!! Amazing, I like it very much.

  • Thanks very much indeed Bacon!

We were seriously hoping that this would be selected as the potential new Bond theme - sadly don't think this will happen now but we are still ever hopeful !

  • truly bond material!

  • Thanks very much for saying so!
