To 37smooky - some people (like me) have a surround sound system that doesn't have a HDMI port but have a TV that has a HDMI port. So you use HDMI on the TV and the red and white to connect the HDMI.

I have tried two adapters, and a monster xbox AVG cord, no matter what the two devices still clash and it goes into the black screen constant restart mode until I plug one of them. I tried both ports seperately and they work fine when only one is plugged in at the same time. Isn't the adapter supposed to stop the two devices clashing? And why doesn't it work when I do it the way you are doing, still does the same thing. HELP WOULD BE AWESOME

I do this, i have the HDMI cord in, i can get video, but if i plug in the AV(RCA) above it, it cuts out the video feed and seems to try and run it through that.

So i can't have sound and video at the same time, they both seem to cancel each other out, any ideas? i've also tried the RCA audio adapter, same thing happens, cuts the hdmi video feed off.

I’ve Had My XBOX360Slim since late december last year and ive had no problems with it until 3 days ago I purchased a HDMI Cable for $20 at GAMESTOP. I Was playing Saints Row 1 and all of a sudden the screen turned blue with veritcal lines. It has happened multiple times. And With MASS EFFECT 1 The Screen turned black.
