My Father-in-law threatened his platoon with bodily insertion, of said rifle, should anyone choose to flip the selector switch to full auto. As this video points out, 20 rounds don't last long on full auto.
is that an aftermarket recoil compensating muzzle brake? Everything I've read/heard about the m14 said the climb was too violent to be useful in full auto. The shooter in the video holds it rock steady throughout. This has totally changed my perception of the select fire m14.
@leoncarbon it uses a .308. I could be wrong tho. I own a norinco m305 (m14 clone) and it shoots .308 win. Military rounds tho, not just hunting ones. I heard something about the primer being to weak or something if its a hunting round.
I used the M14 in combat and all were select-fire. We did'nt have any problems with recoil barrel climbing on full auto. Our lives depended on that great rifle and we knew how to use it. The ones that could not handle the M14 was sent someplace else period. The m14 on full-auto would fire faster than a BAR...I used both. The BAR is a heavy *^G$#@^ to carry, but plain ass deadly, cut thru jungle crap like a sharp blade. Love the M14 and I'm glad it's still in service, which speaks volumes.
Black ops is so stupid now... Why the fuck would they make this gun act as a semi-automatic rifle? Couldn't your character just switch it to full auto whenever he wanted?

the m14 was originally semi auto but a full auto version designed to be used similarly to a BAR was made but it often had too much recoil for most people to handle
@AccessDenied55 You do realize Call of Duty is a video game and a work of fiction that puts the absolute minimal effort into their work when it comes to realism right?
nice demo.....now when da bad guys turn come around, dem bullets not gone be in da cartridge unless y'have cover or maybe if you got them. i prefer save my ammo, no? m14 is good rifle, thanks for the video...
If i'm not mistaken the gun was origanally designed as a semi-auto, then released in a select fire variant. the gun is actually based largely off of the M1 Garand, With the major differences being the magazine isn't internal being fed by stripper clips and the fact that the chambering was changed to a more controlable round, the 7.62 x 51 nato,or .308 win. The Garand shot 30-06 which is largely used now for hunting. I know i don't know everything and if anyone knows something I don't
@limabean385 actually the M-14 originally was full auto and had a pistol grip but they changed the full auto for better accuracy and power and got rid of the pistol grip to better the recoil (with the pistol grip the barrel is more likely to tilt up then the other grip ( like the ones on the 1903 springfeild rifles) which pushes the rifle back (rather then up)
@Elitepoosniff I'm a CoD player..... and I knew that before I ever played CoD that the M14 was made before CoD was. I think it was in the late 1950s but I'm not sure... Also CoD have got it wrong; the M14 is a battle not assault rifle. So HA in your face

Can you maintain 4 moa with iron sights or scope, in all three field positions using ball ammo, any sighted-in MBR and a sling, no bench or bypod? (Sitting, standing, prone) Do you know correct sling use in shooting these positions? What is NPOA? Want to know? RWVA dot ORG.

@Arwrologist I hope so I too! I was so glad to see your comment you seem like a Veteran of Rifles from what you have said, I have only been shooting for around 6 years how about you?
@MrZ0mbiE3000 Well I'm 46 now. I grew up in the country with a .22 rifle in my hand everyday. My friend, Chris, and I spent entire summers camping in debri huts and in the day tracking animals, and eating only what we caught. We ck'd in with our parents daily, & head back out. Bought a 303 British Enfield when I was 15, from an older friend that worked at the dairy farm with me. He'd buy ammo for me too. Spent time as a SDM in Army in the 80's & now with AS.
@antguida88 Yes Sir! I wish everyone could have that kind of experience. Thing is, I don't get around so good now, but I am teaching my 3 boys all that I know. @15787marijn Same here. So dumb are these commie fuckers. They shoot guns in video games because they're scared of them in real life. So, why even comment on these videos. I've fired a .308 before, the fucking thing had a metal butt plate! It was bolt action, which has no gas release or buffer tube. I'm a relatively small guy, so I would take a wallop every time I squeeze the trigger.
@bigmanwithagun12 i have a m44 (7.62x54r) and it also has a steel butt plate and also bolt action. and it has a huge kick to it and leaves my shoulder very sore after a day at the range. so i feel you on that.
@BladeMaster303x No your just hitting it twice as much with a drum, the gun always stays accurate. In my honest opinion M14 best weapon of all time. You just need to make sure whatever is coming at you is twice fried!
ok EBR means enhanced battle rifle with adjustable stok bipod and so on ok but now the secret with the m21 and m14 difference.man you americans have such comlicated weapon names sometimes.
First off, you merely regurgitated M14 variants for no particular reason and getting shit wrong in the process.
Second, no one likes multiple consecutive posts by the same person, especially when what you're saying is barely worth writing one comment for, let alone three.
Finally, you're complaining about the apparent complexity of weapon nomenclature, when it's just you spewing incorrect technical information.
@csmybuttt Lmaoo! I like your style man..your comment soo intelligent and you made the person look like a complete asshole..I don't know shit about guns but I do know a smart person when I see one. :) Lol
ok let me check this.the m14 has full auto.the m21(XM21) is the sniper specific version with only semi fire.and the EBR stands for the new plastic version. and so M21 EBR is the plastic version with semi and m14 EBR with full auto correct me somebody please if iam wrong
FAKE, every1 knows the m14 is one shot. this is edited, and those m14s are soooo weak, even with a red dot sight, the M16 is much stronger and is still used in the army unlike this piece of shit, LOL. when was it used? the civil war?
i once got on a 35 killstreak with the m16 HAHAHAHA you ppl r so stupid
@SephirothEvilCompany I have a feeling you are kidding, but I have a strong feeling your not. To tell your first, the m14 was first issued as the standard marksman rifle. The M16 fires a 5.56x45 round, while the M14 fires a 7.62x45 round. The M14 was issued not to long after WWII and is still in service today, being the rifle longest used in the U.S. military.
Beautiful gun, I prefer it Semi auto though, just because I like accurate shots. If I wanted something Fully auto I'd buy an AK47 or something along those lines.
And they say the M-14 is uncontrollable...

My friend Chris joined Army Rangers and wound up in Korea. He's got better stories then I do. He's out now and lives back where we grewup and has 2 boys. I'm the dumbass that moved to a city. Regrets...

I'm a relatively small guy, so I would take a wallop every time I squeeze the trigger.
bigmanwithagun12 4 months ago
@bigmanwithagun12 i have a m44 (7.62x54r) and it also has a steel butt plate and also bolt action. and it has a huge kick to it and leaves my shoulder very sore after a day at the range. so i feel you on that.

Needs a drum magazine, twenty rounds is fukin lame.
shadyirishmen 5 months ago
@shadyirishmen It doesn't matter if it's "lame" that weapon is designed to hit the target, not scare the shit out of it.
BladeMaster303x 5 months ago
@BladeMaster303x No your just hitting it twice as much with a drum, the gun always stays accurate. In my honest opinion M14 best weapon of all time. You just need to make sure whatever is coming at you is twice fried!

@shadyirishmen Hooah to that.

ok EBR means enhanced battle rifle with adjustable stok bipod and so on ok but now the secret with the m21 and m14 difference.man you americans have such comlicated weapon names sometimes.
GeneralSchultz 5 months ago
@GeneralSchultz No, you're just an idiot.

@GeneralSchultz Yeah, because I'm obviously the one using many words and multiple comments to say nothing.

SephirothEvilCompany 5 months ago
@SephirothEvilCompany I have a feeling you are kidding, but I have a strong feeling your not. To tell your first, the m14 was first issued as the standard marksman rifle. The M16 fires a 5.56x45 round, while the M14 fires a 7.62x45 round. The M14 was issued not to long after WWII and is still in service today, being the rifle longest used in the U.S. military.

Beautiful gun, I prefer it Semi auto though, just because I like accurate shots. If I wanted something Fully auto I'd buy an AK47 or something along those lines.
