humans don't taste good to sharks. most people attacked were presumed to be a seal or something like that in a shape of surfboard, BUT there have been some instances in which sharks did feed on human flesh. Sometime in WWII an american ship sunk and its survivors were ambushed by great whites and tiger sharks. Beautiful though deadly to the untrained eye.
