actually i forgive bush for being a complete and utter idiot, however i can't forgive someone who was intelligent, like lincoln was, yet still made completely irrational, un-american, and unconstitutional decisions and used military force to achieve his economic objectives, and never with any thought to helping African-Americans. lol.
my you must have a very big heart to forgive somebody who has killed thousands of people, not only americans, for absolutely no reason. At least Lincoln had a cause, not only was he trying to save the United States from crumbling, he was ending slavery, you know a business where human beings were being SOLD!
As far as can tell the only thing that has come from this war has been Bush burying the US in even debt and destroying our reputation even more. No wonder the rest of the world hates us!
f you studied economics in the least you'd know the debt that we owe is only to ourselves and from agencies, organizations, and other sections of the government and even if we did pay it off, through the circle of econ. we would have to begin borrowing again.
He is called the "Great Emancipator," but if you read the Emancipation Proclamation, you will see that it only freed slaves in states not currently occupied by the Union Army. He issued strict orders to the Union Army NOT to free any slaves they came across. In short, the Emancipation Proclamation was an attempt to do at least one of two things, if not both: 1) turn the war into a war over slavery (it was not considered to be such until the EP was issued) so that anti-slavery, European nations
would not lend comfort to the Confederacy, and/or 2) incite a violent slave revolt which would on the one hand cause disruption in the Confederacy but on the other hand would cause the deaths of many innocent African-Americans.
