I see it as about everyday 'little' coincidences that take place in our lives once in a while. The guy's car breaks down and he has to get to the train station so he runs the whole way. Don't know why he's in such a hurry though. I don't think it's meant to make much sense, it's probably just an excuse to visit different places he mentions in the lyrics. Meanwhile Mark is writing the song in a pub. Maybe the scenes of mark driving around is him looking for inspiration and writing he writes the song about what he sees ?

You see a guy hurrying throughout the whole video. Not aware of any chances that might be good for him on the way to the train. You see the girl he ran into, her head showed up in the end too. Maybe he should have done something to get her?
