  • Hello i want to have one how much costs

  • @juegosepicos about $120

  • very nice, that onle looks like hes got happy friendly looking face to me.

  • dangggggggggggg

  • @The9226192

You think so? When I see how chubby they get with only 5 feet then I can't imagen that my tank will be enough XD... my monster is right now about 2,6 feet and has "still" much space.

    @vAMBIANCE

How big is yours? I heard they get aggressive when they get bigger. Mine is acting like an angel right now and ignores my porcupine fish and lionfish even though they have only 4-5 inch...they would fit in her mouth but she is doing nothing when they are in front of her nose XD

  • Probably getting one in a few days, have a 250 gallon tank and hope this will be big enough for him alone, at least for a few years.

I'm not sure if I should also get an volitan or a second eel later, any experience with this kind of eel being socialized with a second one? Like a dragon eel? Normally eels are companionalble but I have my doubts with this kind XD..

  • @EpicD00M Defiantly large enough for their entire life!

  • @EpicD00M ive got a dragon and tessie in the same tank :)

  • who tank and how many galoons

  • @oti151 180 gallons minimum. care level: easy. temperament: semi-agressive. reef compatible: with caution. Max size: 5' 10"

  • I'm thinking of getting one myself, what size tank do they need? ...Anyone? Thanks.

  • @oti151 BIG, depends on the size, 200+ for an adult

  • @oti151 100+ gallon?

  • @oti151 I have one of these, they need a tank size of no less than 180 gallons. These things get big, and I mean big. I've had mine for roughly 5 years now and he's about full grown, at 5ft 4in. When I first got him, he was barely a foot and a bit, and he wiped out most of my fish in my tank. He was so damn gorgeous that I couldn't get rid of him. The only fish that he has ever gotten along with and is still housed with is my Volitan Lionfish. It's a great eel, but don't cry when you get bit.=)

  • Is it your pet eel? Just wondering what do you feed them because I was thinking about getting one..

  • how big is he and is he yours

  • this looks like the same type of eel i caught a video of o-o I've uploaded it,can someone go tell me if its a Tesselata?

  • New world aquarium offerred me a five footer for 200 dollars. I couldn't buy because I don't have the money right now. He looked at me like, you want that!, you really want that, haha...:)

  • Gorgeous eel! Take good care of it and you'll have quite a beast on your hands (hopefully not literally).

  • if ur eel looks like its breathing it needs more oxygen in its water... this one isnt trying to breathe because its water is most likely oxygenated very well and doesnt need to do what yours is doing.

  • NO thats how eels are... I am a Marine biologist by profession,

If it isn't breathing often enough hes probably missing something that he would have in the natural environment... most probably a behavioral factor has been removed from his daily life.

  • is he fresh water

  • no hes saltwater

  • is the Tesselata Eel good with other fish ?

  • not really..

  • amazing dude! 5/5

  • Your eel looks like it hardly ever breathes... my Tesselata eel opens and closes it mouth every second or two, pumping water over its gills.

  • Your eel is unhealthy then.

  • Nope, I've spent time diving with eels in Hawaii, they breathe every second or two naturally. It gives them that "fierce" look because their mouth is basically always opening and closing.

  • if its doing that your tank is not getting enough oxygen
