HA ha ha. Hey, you gave up way too soon. You should go back, start again on level 3. Find the secret dot and discover the secret toom. This was the first easter egg in videogaming. I sure you knew this an wasn't the point, I'm sure. Still, give it a shot.
Lol, yeah, I know I gave up pretty quickly, but was more constrained by time limits than not wanting to give the game a fair shot.
One of these days, when I've done shooting videos of all the games in my collection, I'll go back to this, and my other faves, and give them a really good playing.
I've read about the secret room with the programmers name easter egg, but never actually come across it yet.
I can't believe how much fun this game is (AND Adventure II)
the graphics are absolutely wretched...

This is probably my favorite game the Atari 2600 and could play it for hours. It does get pretty tough though on the second and third quests.
