Hair like snow is a common synonym to describe senior people, particularly how they have been aged through hardship and misfortunes. I think this song meant to convey the idea that love can sometimes be a torturous matter, and it can bring such grieve that aged people within. One would feel as if they have been weathered and aged like an old man after enduring a heartbroken relationship.

(perhaps she's no longer with him). It circles around the philosophic culture of south east asia, karma, reincarnations, predestined relationships etc. but I am no expert =).
