This battle would've been a lot better, not to mention a lot more challenging if you had had to fight Stallord's 2nd form on the platform rather than on the stupid little Spinner thing -__- Same goes for Argorok. These two battles both would've been a lot more epic if Link's sword had been involved (okay it is anyways, but just when they can't defend themselves, which is on its own kind of douchy.)
Correction: my Link's name was "Wasabi" that time.
I'm one of those LoZ players that tends to name their hero "Link" for the first playthrough, then uses other names for subsequent playthroughs. In my case, it's usually whatever happens to spring to mind at the time. Usually, the list includes "Donut", but others have been used as well.
What's truly astonishing is that Link was still able to get back on his feet after that. (Not only that, but he's lucky he didn't lose his feet altogether!)
I actually like this fight, any fight that is in "perpetual motion" gives a more epic feeling than a boss standing in the middle and attacking you back.
As for the challenge, yes, it was pretty easy. Maybe it's because gamers always want hardcore challenges that can take weeks to accomplish. Still, the hardest challenge in this game was in the pit with many levels in the dessert.
@ShiitakeWarrior LOL yeah, I missspelled it a little bit, maybe because I was thinking it was a piece of cake :P
But yeah, that Cave, I didn't remember the name. It's been quite a long time since I last played it. Still, I hope they put more challenges like that one.
I also enjoyed the dark link fight from Ocarina of Time. It was quite challenging if you don’t use the hammer or din's fire.
Anyway, as long as the fights are epic and challenging, I guess I couldn't ask for more.
Come to think of it, Biggoron's Sword was always my weapon of choice when going up against Dark Link in OoT. (SO looking forward to that coming out on 3DS!)
I like how every boss monster (with some exceptions) screams in your face before they fight you and i dont like how every time you see zant he always has that dinosaur growl
I always thought about this, now I don't know if Link really can but, why doesn't he just take the sword out of Stallords head when he's on the ground?
It makes me wonder... if most bosses are alive before you fight them, what do they do in their "spare time"? Also, if you found a way to leave Stallord's room, do you think it would find a way to break out and wreak havoc on the world? Ahhh... Nintendo logic.
of all the bosses, this one was by far my favorite. mainly because of the fast paced action that always has you moving around, and its like some crazy car chase when the head comes alive. and some badass music.
I must say, Stallord is one of the most entertaining bosses to defeat for me. Especially since I absolutely love the Spinner!! It's kinda sad you barely get to use throughout the game....

I like stallord as a boss but I don't like that you use the spinner the most. Well, when you face stallord, just pretend you're in a beyblade arena. Let it rip!
lol, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the spinner was inspired by Beyblade.
Still, it's a shame these dungeon bosses you find in some (if not all) of the more recent LoZ games INSIST that you whore the item(s) you find in THAT SPECIFIC DUNGEON just so as you can kill them. (Take this game, for example: 1st boss, Gale Boomerang; 2nd, Iron Boots; 3rd, Clawshot; 4th, Spinner; 5th, Ball and Chain; 6th, Dominion Rod; 7th, Double Clawshot; 8th, damn near all of the above!)
@ShiitakeWarrior It makes sense tho... or you wouldn't bother using some of the more challenging tools like the ball and chain if you could easliy use the clawshot or somfin like that!
i loved this battle the first time i played it. tied for second favorite boss battle with the horseback battle against Ganondorf on this game (i always wanted Epona to be in an epic boss battle). my favorite was fighting the dragon using double-clawshot.
