  • Haha, some of you have obviously never watched softball at a high school, college, or Olympic level. This isn't a drill, it's a way of hitting, and I, myself, do it. I take my first step back because it helps my time myself better, and it gets my momentum going. And it's actually quite easy to get away from an inside pitch. Us lefty slappers aren't slow, nor are we unathletic by any means.

  • Why would you step back with your right foot before you stepped forward and crossed over with your left? She has now taken two steps and her body has moved nowhere!

Also, you want your heel on the batter's box with your toes over the line on the crossover step. The closer to first base, the better.

  • Nice drill! What d'ya call it?

"The quickest way ta get nailed by an inside pitch - drll".

How would the batter bail out, since her body is in an aweful natural position?

  • If you're not a complete nonathletic and uncoordinated buffoon, it's quite easy.

  • great video, watch exciting softball @ women's softball byu vs unm 5/9/08 or 5/1008

  • Winning Coach needs to move their logo. It is annoying.
