would be nice to have NHL teams customize every jersey. Too bad we still have the ''x-trafil, spandex'' material as authentic NHL jerseys while the actual players have the ''air-knit'' on-ice sweaters. Letterings and numbering are the same materials the NHL teams have, but have slight differences to the font size. It would be nice to buy them ''air-knit'' authentic jerseys in stores again, the way it used to be. LOL at the heat-pressing process.

Even the jerseys that they call "Pro" or "authentic" aren't really authentic. Authentic jerseys would have the tie-downs n everything, and unless I'm mistaken, they don't sell those in stores. I'm pretty sure you have to win them or get them through some sort of special means cuz I love jerseys, and I have a ton of them (all "Authentic") but the only one that has a tie-down is a Spec.Ed. Leafs jersey my Aunt won when the Gardens was closing.

hey actually all the jerseys i ahve are authentic they ahve the tie downs which you call thay are called fight straps all letters are stitched and they are the same as the pleyrs wear

they went back to the old material,, so the players wear the old polyester jerseys like they used too, but with new jersey design...Only the players get the old material cause they hated the rbk material, but its not sold to the public

Only the pro jerseys get sewn. The Semi Pro jerseys are heat pressed.

get an authentic jersey and thats sewn on, if i ever get some names and numbers put on my jerseys ill make sure they sew them on

@twfchamp02 the Pro jerseys are heat pressed as well...if they knew it was going to an actual NHL player they would sew them on...us customers get the heat pressed and then they sew them on.
