Why am I watching this? I was looking through interviews with the Doctor Who cast and now I seem to be flicking through videos of John Barrowman snogging random men...
A rather skewed recap... It''s been said on here before, but he flirted with Gwen and was obviously sad when she got married, he's been married at least once that we know of and have a daughter, he had a loving relationship with that fairy lady, so much so that he looked her up after many years. Rose. ...
The most awesome thing about this character is that he does *not* discriminate. Hated how they took that away in Miracle Day.
It's absolutely brilliant watching Ianto and Jack's evolution over the course of Real Torchwood, series 1-3. Ianto was arguably the love of Jack's long life (taking ALL canon into consideration - the television show, the radio plays, and the novels. And if you haven't watched, listened, or read all those, I highly recommend it. Especially listen to House of the Dead. Oh my god, listen now.)
Being a girl I'd rather say Jack is omnisexual than gay b/c then I feel like I actually have a chance to tap that c:
(Although I do feel bad for John's partner Scott, it mustn't be easy to have to watch the love of your life play a character that quite literally makes out with anything that has a heartbeat & moves.)
to show this argument completely you most include his fun experiences with Rose Tyler (Dr.Who), and the interesting "flirts" of a him and gwen, he's ominisexuual as the doctor put it he a 51st (I believe) century man by his time human kind were scattered across the gaxily, so gender did matter as much
I didnt even know about Jack and Ianto when I saw the episode where Ianto says he doesn't care about Jack's sexuality... And I still knew he was lying.
Not that this show is supposed to be realistic, but the bit with the REAL captain jack seemed a bit phony baloney to me. What are the chances that Jack meets the guy whose name he stole and that guy turns out to be bisexual, or at least has more interest in Jack than his own girlfriend and is open enough to make out with him in front of a 1940s audience? Jack's a 51st century guy, but the REAL captain jack isn't. But I guess I'm straight and I don't understand.

i just startede watching torchwood from the beginning and i had no idea Jack and Ianto were going to be a couple later on. this just blew my mind. i mean i kinda guessed after the whole "stopwatch thing". but i didnt even know Ianto was gay! mind blown!
@jewbowl225 Well the thing I like about the whole situation is that there isn't exactly labels. It's not that he's gay it's more two people attracted to each other giving it a go ya know. It's not two gay guys getting together it's just Ianto and Jack having an office relationship (plus loads more). Ianto is what attracted me to the series anyways
@PrInCeSsFBi45 That's the problem for me. Jack and Ianto seemed organic and real. What are the chances that Jack goes back in time, finds the real captain jack and he's interested in men, too? So much so that in a 1940s public setting he's willing to make out with some guy he's barely met? They dramatize it and even as a straight guy I was moved a bit emotionally because they're so convincing, but seriously...really? Jack is a 51st century guy, but this Captain isn't.

Very nice selection, only downside is that you didn't use the whole stopwatch scene. But love it, and love Jack. Love Jack with ianto even more.
