I would rate Alex Jones as a relatively good source for true info that you may or may not find on the news. Well the Jones video also displays the correct bill he was actually reffering to (S.773) and it was labeled as being Introduced rather than passed. Jones just made the mistake of mixing the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act with the Cybersecurity Act. One has been voted on by the House the other hasn't. Honest mistake.
The mistake was no more deliberate than you mixing H.R 4601 with H.R 4061. But im sure you're well aware of that.

@miketonon Don't be stupid. Good and Evil is not a "Real Concept" for some people killing can be justified, even stealing like if you do it for survival. The word evil is something that I find very stupid and the word good too. All the actions aren't good or evil, they are just actions, others are mistakes. But it dosent means that is wrong. Some people can find something wrong but you don't.
I always try to do the most inteligent option I have I don't care if is wrong or right.

@ElDrHouse2010, there is good and evil. We humans are not the ultimate judge of either, but we need to try to be when we can. If you truely always do make the most inteligent choice, you make the good choice. But are you certain, every time of what is the most inteligent choice?

@miketonon The "right" choice is not always the best. I mean what the society thinks is right. A lot of inteligent choices are individal choices and no there is no good and evil. As I said those are things that are in our minds, to be more accurate in our imagination. We feel thats why we think some actions are good and others bad. But not all the persons feel the same, Im very individual I like to think about my self first, then the others that I like.

@ElDrHouse2010, the right choice can often put you through... hell more or less, but inevitably the right choice is right, simple.
Do you think causing people to suffer or perpetuating lies and deception are not evil? I think deep down we all know whats right, we can... feel it, more or less. Some of us have to look very deep down though. If society followed that, right or wrong at the moment, I believe the inevitable is balance.

i think you're missing the point, several points actually. let's for a moment assume, that the bill jones was ranting about was actually the one that passed in the house in the very form it was introduced. let's throw all logic out the window, and assume that it made its way completely through the house without being amended one bit. what power would the president have? and if you say the power to control the internet, you're an idiot.

I have to agree with cristoballs on this one. I may be biased towards typical conservative media, but then again, most media misinformation, that I've been made aware of, seems to come from conservative sources. Good call cristoballs.

@miketonon Easy. Simply listen to what Alex Jones says, then go look it up. Or, alternatively, watch Fox "News" channel or any news channel and go look it up. I'm not saying go look for a counterargument. I'm simply saying listen with an objective mind all the while asking yourself, "How do they know this?" "What are their sources?" "Is there evidence to support what they are saying?" and most importantly, "Is there an obvious spin that they are deliberately putting on the info?"

The funny thing about this video is that you're accusing Jones of spreading disinfo but you've actually confused the bills yourself. You said H.R 4601 just passed in the house but that's not true.
H.R 4601 is the The National Nurse Act of 2010. NOTHING TO DO WITH CYBERSECURITY. And it hasn't even reached the house for a vote.
It's suspect that you would try to somehow connect the black guy to Alex Jones? But did you just confuse the two bills, mispeak, or deliberately lie?

@cristoballs Oh, you made a mistake.
Well the Jones video also displays the correct bill he was actually reffering to (S.773) and it was labeled as being Introduced rather than passed. Jones just made the mistake of mixing the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act with the Cybersecurity Act. One has been voted on by the House the other hasn't. Honest mistake.
The mistake was no more deliberate than you mixing H.R 4601 with H.R 4061. But im sure you're well aware of that.

@Souljoro i know that jones was talking about s.773. that was the entire point of this video. the problem i have with his video is the fact that he was trying to generate all this hysteria about a bill which is still stuck in committee. and what's funny is he somehow thinks that bills which get introduced in the senate get passed in the house without passing in the senate first. this is something a high school student should know.

@cristoballs I don't even think you believe what you're saying. You sound like an intelligent person so you know how the legislative process works. People lobby for bills to even reach committee. So if you believe in a bill, you promote it at the earliest stages. Conversley, if you oppose a bill (like S. 773) you would of course be "generating hysteria" about it while it was stuck in commitee. In fact Jones was sounding the alarm on S. 773 as earlier as June 2009.

sounding the alarm for a bill is one thing. that could be understood. but jones went beyond sounding the alarm. he flat out lied about the bill, claiming that it had passed in the house, when it still hasn't made it past committee. and he still hasn't made a correction. has he?

@Souljoro - as for "the black guy", i prefer to call him reggie. he's actually a nice guy, and i wasn't trying show any connection with him to alex jones other than to say that jones was the original source of this misinformation. i actually subscribe to reggie's channel and that's how i found out about this bill. so why is it suspect that i drew a connection between jones and reggie, or as you prefer to call him "the black guy"?

I was going to do some research on this bill myself, so thanks for doing it for me. There is a lot of disinformation around laws, bills, well how our gov works in general. If more people would post videos refuting and explaining how bills work, there would be less fear and panic that's for sure. and yes Alex Jones has a gig scaring the living crap out of people who are paranoid to begin with.

thanks for your comment and thanks for the sub. yeah, i get pretty upset at stuff like this. i think there are legitimate concerns about our government. however, when people like alex jones start ranting about their conspiracy theories which are the result of misinformation, i think it ends up taking away from the legitimate concerns of the public.
