I think what "MrHighFashionAtlanta" meant was that it might have been meant for Moving Violations but didn't make it. It was then released on Joyful Jukebox Music which was released in '76 after they left motown.
Joyful Jukebox was a collection of unreleased j5 songs recorded between early 73-mid 75. Most are get it together, dancing machine, Forever Michael, and moving violation rejects. Except love is thing you need which was sounds like it was recorded for skywriter sometime in late 72 or early 73

This was recorded for moving violations. You can tell. Straight 75. I don't think it was disco enough to make that album though
