  • i've always been a huge fan of ND I love Jon Heder and all his movies. If you like his character watch him in the movie "Mama's Boy" It's classic

  • haha i laughed so hard when he ran and fell down:D

  • I hate P.E too

  • 5:55 is epic the way he looks at the fanny pack

  • the orginal napoleon dynamite

  • i love short films and this was quite good!

  • when he runs away in the end and falls in the leaves. funny

  • damn pedro is so cholo in this one

  • Lol this is like the whole movie in a nutshell except no Kip, Rico, Grandma, Debbie and hilary duffs slut sister

  • oh shit i pissed wen I saw napoleon fall

  • Made in two days and with a budget of 500$. I can see how they saved so much money. They didn't even bother having any color.

  • @jsg361 actually i suspect the b/w footage was deliberate. it often is these days, you know.

  • @glitterspray No, black & white film stock in post production is far, far cheaper than color.

  • @mikesxdestroy yeah but not really... cause it so rare and tellecine has to run it on a seperate line as the chemicals used to develop are different

  • @Lividify Kodak D-76 and Tri-X ain't going nowhere right now. What are you talking about?

  • Love napoleon dynamite the comedy skits and quotes are ordinary but makes you giggle

  • are you guys retarded?? That sucks ball sack

  • @hulleyd LOL awesome film commentary. A critic in the making!!!

  • Sweet a cup holder X)

  • Hahaha, wow. I had no idea Napoleon Dynamite was an adaptation of another short film with the same actors (Though Pedro was played by the guy who did Gale in this one.) I think I prefer the newer one because it had all the polish of a budget with the authenticity of the original, but this was fantastic and it gave me one last, new laugh at Napoleon Dynamite.

  • randy! go find your grandma or something your bugging the heck out of me GOSH!

  • anyone else think that big lettering in the background at 4:44 looks exactly like Kip's singn for la fawnduh?

  • @come2u2cu Yeah,I thought it was La Fawnduh .

  • brilliant

  • Nuevamente lo recomiendo

  • It's almost like a viral video short.

  • Did that bus look really fake to everyone else? I mean, this video was great and everything, but when that bus pulled up it just looked really fake.

  • @DennyStudios not at all..

  • @enigmamonkey92 I must be just going crazy

  • @enigmamonkey92 okay, i watched it again and i take back what i said haha

i feel like a moron lol

  • @DennyStudios i couldnt even see what you meant, aha :P

    nooo biggie

  • re-watching this, it is even more obvious that "Peluca" is better than "Napolean Dynamite". Both are great, but this one is more subtle and to the style.

here's a basic example of what i mean by this: 'Napolean Dynamite' is a pretty funny name but it's a bit over-the-top. 'Seth' is more suiting for him and has a nice subtle humorous ring to it.

  • A very charming short if you'd think about it! :)

  • Well, at least Idaho can be known for potatoes, Larry Craig, and Napoleon (or Seth) haha....

  • Does anybody know the name of the music playing at the beginning

  • @LEOJRAMO8592 'Alfie' by Burt Bacharac

  • This is hot I can't get enough of this movie its so funny and good.

  • Haha Idaho lotto ticket.

  • What I like about Napoleon Dynamite is that it is intentionally different from other comedy movies, in which they throw everything at you to make you laugh (explicit humor). Napoleon Dynamite does the complete opposite: they put nihilistic main characters in "real life" situations and an almost plotless movie with little dialogue so that you find the implicit comedy.

  • wait, what's nihilistic about the characters?

  • @Xlay3r It's called Situational Humor, it's more apparent to me than your idea of 'obvious humor'. So it's simply perspective.

  • @Xlay3r and now, THE PUNCHLINE !

  • @Xlay3r What is nihilistic about Napoleon Dynamite?

  • LMAO when he runs and falls in the leaves.

  • A cat is good too.

  • Jared Hess is a genius.

  • ...and a true hero!

  • this is where "stupid" humor originated , it's hilarios ;)

  • This is the short film that Napoleon Dynamite is based on. Directed by Jered Hess Written by the Hess' Starring: Seth- Jon Heder

  • Napoleon Dynamita?, Peluca ?, What is the difference?...

i love this mov, but my question is what difference?

  • This was first - peeps liked it enough to give them the cash to make Napoleon Dynamite

  • Napoleon Dynamite was based on Peluca. Peluca was made for some film festival, but later was made into a full movie, Napleon Dynamite.

  • 7:28 the best xD!

  • I lol'd xD

  • whatever i fell like it GOSH!

  • "I'm just gonna' get my ID.." loosely translated I'm not coming back! LOL

  • I can hardly wait for Jared Hess' new film Gentlemen Broncos. I read the plot and it sounds funny and made me think of ComiCon in San Diego and some of the characters that were there this year. =}

  • Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite movies of all time!! Amazing that it all started with Peluca!

  • RAWR i meant 7:28 gosh

  • 0:28

    EPIC FALL lolz

  • wow

  • This is awesome, I had no idea it existed until now. "My wife says I gotta stop..." haha.

The only part I didn't like was when Seth gives the kid his toy at the end.

  • His sister moved into my old house.

  • who ever made this short has future ..just practice more ..pretty good acting and camera angles

  • ohohoho. You're joking, right?

  • you gotta be kidd- nevermind. forget it

  • ummm yea they have future...hence the movie Napoleon Dynamite......

  • is the song played in the beginning and end "Alfie?" I know that Cher sang a version, but she wasn't the first.

  • shitsweek = your shit is weak.

  • good thing thats not my name. whew.

  • epic 6:01

  • funny , keep it up

  • are you retarded?

  • Napoleon Dynamite is the full length movie based on this short. I'd never seen it either until yesterday when it aired on Comedy Central.

  • lol..make me laugh

  • There goes a true hero.

  • The mannequin looks like Sally Field.

  • hahahah that character is so funny.. Gosh!

  • Funny quotes:

"Whatever I feel like I want to do. Gosh!"

"Randy, go find your grandma or something. You're bugging the heck out of me. Gosh!"

"Gosh. You idiot. I hate you!"

"Gosh! They didn't sell me one. I'm not like, old enough. Dang!"

  • How come Jon Heder is only good at playing some one retarded? Look at most of his movies.

  • pure art

  • ummm , NapDyn came from this .

No Peluca , No Napoleon Dynamite .

  • The guy that created it would have come up with it anyway.

  • "I might get me some later. I don't have any m... You know what" I love it!

  • legendary

  • Gos... nice!

  • "I'm low on cash flow"

hahahahah like he has a job

  • "shouldnt be messing with peoples necks like that"

  • haha funny

  • I wanna know the name of the song that plays in the beginning and the end...

  • this one have the same magic as napoleon dynamite.

  • hahaha also 7:28 LOL

  • ahhh 7 dollers. such a great deal. LOL

  • Hilarious

  • He's such a nice person.

  • dang

  • the real pedros way better

  • are you stupid? this came out before napoleon dynamite, THIS is the real pedro

  • wtf, im saying the real pedro as in the pedro on the proper full length film, i never said the 'original' pedro, so get your fuckin facts right before you try n be smart ass

by the way the full length film is way better (my opinion)

  • NO, I'M SPARTACUS!

  • "that is a true hero"

    "que dios le bendiga"

    LOL

  • This made my day! I love Jon Heder!

  • XD SETH!!!!

  • is that efren in the hoodie? lol

  • yup

  • this pedro is CRAP! lol

but its funny how he hits the guy haha!

  • awesome! sweet! gosh!

  • this is flippin sweet!!!!!

  • Jeremy Coon! Lulz!

  • i <3 this movie.

the way it was shot was EXCELLENT. very lo-fi, very gritty-ish. much love for it.

  • Expanding it in to a film that would go on to make more than 100 times its production cost.

  • but it was dONE!!!!!!! lol!

  • I think it's so cool that something as short and simple like this turned into a world-wide phenomenon! =D

  • I got myself a fanny pack..

  • thats from Weird Al Yankovic´s White and Nerdy right?!

  • wow man...wow. so glad they fixed it up hahahaha

  • whats the song in the movie called i want it

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • like this film

  • You should not make a follow-up if you didn't intend to in the first place. Not just because the first movie played in a lot of money.

  • I agree ND2 would ruin it. It'd probably suck donkey balls. Then I'd start to hate the first one...

  • Hahaha I love the bit where he spontaneously made a run and fell and they'r like "Medieval Warrior". I wish Jered Hess made a Napolean Dynamite 2.

    thanks for uploading this.

  • That would ruin it.

  • most likely

  • maybe not. the thing is, where would they take the plot? kip's married, rico found a chick, grandma came back. maybe is deb & 'poleon start screwing..."man that's a flippin' tight fit!" "c'mon baby hurry up & shoot so i can show you the latest fashions" "i'll blow a load whenever i feel like. GOSH!" (yes i AM sick & DO need help_

  • hahahaha

  • I'm thinking that it wouldn't be easy to make a good ND sequel, but they could do it. The main thing they need to focus on is that basically it's about a guy who lives in the middle of nowhere and does weird things. Keep the genuinity that made the first one so popular and they're set!

  • Sweet...a cupholder....*akward breath*

  • hahah they're touching that wig forever

  • You can tell what they took out of this for Napoleon Dynamite.

  • jajaajajaja...

  • DUDE! the end was hilllariouzzzz!!!!

  • this is cool to see the origin, Pedro is cooler here than in the movie, glad they mad that change

  • Sweet

  • napoleon dynamite only sucks when you pay money to watch it in a cinema, cause to be frank thats a waste of money, but you can enjoy if you watch it on tv for free

  • plus its censored!

  • beautiful

  • Ahhh LOVE THIS AND ND!!!!!!!!!

  • Jon is SO hot.

  • This is way better than the movie Napolean Dynamite, that SUCKED!!! But I gotta say, this wasn't too bad.

  • You gotta be kidding. This was its predecessor & was deemed good enough to be made into Napoleon Dynamite. The movie was like a longer, more improved version of this.

    This is not bad though.

  • Flippin Sweet! "Wow u look like a med evil worrior!" haha!

  • medieval warrior

  • Thanks for the video !!!

  • i love how seth just goes right to that meeting, and not back to school.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Awesome!

  • Heh. Funny. But why do they call him Napoleon in the movie? They should call him Seth, and pedro: Pedro!

  • because napoleon is a weirder name

  • Acting isn't very good but I like it alot!

  • heder is great

  • haha, he falls so sick in the end

  • FYI, rude comments will be removed. I hate assholes.

  • But, the U.S. constitution sets forth a system in which everyone can express themselves as much as they want, as long as it doesn't hinder anyone else's rights.

But you also have the right to delete their comments so...

  • Youtube is on the internet.

Just cus it was made by Americans doesn't mean you have to follow all the laws.

  • True, but shouldn't everyone have that right?

  • i have no idea what this was a reply to, but ur totally correct!

  • I like the short film better than the movie. I know it is dumb, but I like the grainy black & white film. It's cooler.

  • I love the difference in personality between napoleon and Seth, Seth is a lot nicer than napoleon, Seth puts his friend's friend first but napoleon is more selfish, I like Seth a bit better... and find it funny when he is portrayed as a sort of hero at the end lol

  • I wouldn't call him selfish. Everyone has they're moments. Napoleon danced in front of the whole school for Pedro and also got him a wig. Seth only really sacrificed getting a fanny pack. This is stupid, why am i doing this?

    Mike

  • I thought Peluca was better than the full-length film.

  • Was this movie in the theathers, or just on video?

  • Why would some pay 10 bucks for a 10 minute movie.
