I just bought Maschine and one of the most important reasons was because of the integration with K8U. The parameter control pre-map is awesome and will save untold amounts of time -now i am playing and tweaking,recording automation instead of mapping every time. No more, "what did i program this knob to do?" It shows you the parameter and the value, with one button i am recording automation. NI Rocks.
Just upgraded to K8 and the integration with Maschine truly is amazing. Just getting to the instruments parameters from the hardware has saved me time and helped the creative flow. Awesome stuff NI
Is it correct to assume that Maschine will run inside of my DAW (Sonar X1) just like any other interface? Also, will the Maschine software show up in the VST plugins list? Basically how the fuck does this thing tie into the rest of my setup? Im making this more complicated than it is arnt I?
I have komplete 8 and a midi controler keyboard. I use Sonar X1 to record. I was thinking about getting a Maschine Mikro( cause its cheaper)..... But after watching this video I think the Mikro is nothing more than a repackaged version of what I already have. Dont need the square buttons to program beats I got a keyboard that will do it just the same and then just use sonar to capture the sequence. Now I know that it comes with 6GB's of sounds but Komplete 8 has 110GB. Why would I get one. HELP
@hammer663tube I was like you having just a midi controller at once and it was fun, then i purchased machine mikro and i havent looked back, its fun as fuck, its intuitive, and it allows you to create intrumentals in a different way which for me, has allowed so much more creativity then just using a keyboard! If youve got the money for it and im assuming you do then i would go for it, it will give you a whole new spin on beat making right out of the box. like love at first sight!

Just seams like the NI Maschine is a glorified drum machine. I would guess that most poeple who use maschine with any synths sounds are going to use a keyboard to do it. I already do that. @kb1629 There is nothing in Komplete 8 I want that I haven't already got in 7. Im certainly not spending £200 just for this functionality.
Anyway thinking about it, it would be too massive an oversight for this functionality not to appear for each synth. If someone say buys massive on its own and not komplete, it only makes sense that all the massive patches would be browsable in 1.7. So I guess once 1.7 arrives updating your versions of the Ni synths you bought should do the job Im guessing.
How can i install the maschine software on a power mac g5. Its not an intel. What do i do?
