@rippinkorpse I got very lucky when I recorded this. I would say 2/3 is from your gameplay skill, the other 1/3 is the luck of the draw or color appearance of bubbles you get.
just beat a flash version of this. was playing every day for hours for about a month. soooo frustrating - even if you're 100% accurate a lot depends on the colors you get. but the flash version didn't have this ending - it just had 70 levels of nothing, and after 100 it was back to the title screen. sigh.
@onorebakasama Never thought of that actually. Whenever I heard Mystic Cave Zone, I was always thinking of "Inspector Gadget". Those opening notes are so similar... Inspector Sonic? lol.
@FreedomFighterLance: Yeah, Mystic Cave Zone 1P tends to remind me of a whole bunch of different things. There's actually a song that melody reminds me more of, but I can't think of it at the moment; it fits better than MCZ though. D:
Bust A Move/Puzzle Bobble is one of my all-time favorite games, it shows that you don't need insane graphics or a movie-like budget to make a good, skill-demanding game. ^_^
It's the arcade version. The arcade version has 30 levels while the SNES version has 100. But I think it was a good decision on Taito's part. I mean, who would want to play an arcade game that has 100 levels? Could get tiresome...

The ending song has a melody that reminds me vastly of Mystic Cave Zone 1P from Sonic 2.
