  • not much to say with a lump in my throat. thank you for this. my dad was a fighting 2nd marine division leatherneck who was wounded on tarawa in ww2 and my time was south vietnam 1967 and 1968. thank once again. very intense.

  • Very good work, thanks for posting. 5 years later, what are you doing? I hope still paying tribute to our military in the same sensitive way shown here. Found you and this video by ..... destiny? Wolfie

  • whats the drum music from?

  • It is from the soundtrack of We Were Soldiers. Great film

  • This is the most strong and powerful honoring video I have ever seen. I lost one once , It was in iraq he was 21. It is not like a video game once your dead your dead. I hate that feeling that you get. Amazing video ,amazing music and amazing pictures .

  • Thank you very much. I made this a long time ago, but i have had a brother serve in Iraq and another going to Afghanistan soon. I'm just hoping and praying he makes it.....thank you for your comment though :D

  • Really, I expect you'd not be able to create something this intense had you not experienced loss yourself... So, thanks for opening your heart to share with us...

    Genuinely moving.

  • Thank you, i really appreciate this.

Two of my brothers are serving in the Army, so i kind of transfer the fears and possible emotions felt there and then try and see how it would feel when one feels the loss that you often see in very touching war films. That is what i love most about war films, is the bonds that are created and the emotion that is displayed. The fighting is second, the emotions are first, and any war movie that goes contrary to that is missing the point.

  • Thanks!

  • Whats songs did you use for this?

  • I used the sound track from the Mel Gibson film "We Were Soldiers"

I highly recommend this movie as well.

  • Awesome, thank you!

  • This is powerful--THANK YOU for honoring those who served and gave their lives.
