  • This guy is pretty flashy! But come on, no groove!!

  • the title is.... crazy licks and tricks, come on.... this video, as i'm sure you should know.... is about, crazy licks and tricks.... not groove....

  • @Spideyman02 indeed, no groove. but he's still sick.

  • @Spideyman02 no groove?, you are crazy man

  • This is like Nico Stettler :D!

  • hey who are you and why do you know my name?

btw thanks to compare me to assaf

  • whats his name?

  • nice at 1:50

  • I hate you and I want to kill you... no, not really. I do wish I had taken the time to learn to juggle though. Because that is some really kill showmanship. Much fun to watch, thanks for the vid!

  • really nice sounds hats

  • fuckin awsome!!!

  • 0:42. Nice breakbeat there, and nice use of the vellum to create the 16th notes, one handed.

  • what a showoff.

  • hella tight

  • wow i so want to learn how to spin my sticks like that while playing, ive only just leanred how to twirl them slowly while doing nothing lol

  • I feel ya.

  • @crazyermonkey HEY!!! but you look cool so just show that twirl to all the chicks woot woot

  • 0:19 - 0:27, pleeeeeease show me how u did that

  • All Assafi Seewi's videos are so fucking awesome *_*

  • i smell a drum off! ! ! fuckin drummer are bitches... i play jazz, punk,, hip hop, metalcore, deathmetal-blast metal, techno ... buddy rich, ginger baker, hell hammer, george kollias, i fucking hate nile though, brandon barne, oh chad smith fosho all great drummers... though if you really want to be a good drummer dont stick to one fucking genre;) and derek roddies technique on doubles is terrible for speed, but atleast hes got power

  • DUDE that was JUST AMAZING lol i love you red/yellow sticks

  • Who is this?

  • asaf seewi

  • Hey Bro I Like The Sound Of You Kick And The Snare They Sound Cool

  • Amazing!

  • 2:06-2:12 is insane!!

  • u think a metal drummer can do that??i dont think so cuase they suck!

  • a metal drummmer can d this, a metal drummer knows how to acctually play the drums still.......say joey jordison yea....he ould do this ;)

just coz they play metal doesnt mean they cant play the drums :S

  • Dude, Metal is the easiest type of form of drumming. Jazz is WAY harder. Advanced jazz at least. Don't say stuff unless you know what your talking about.

  • metal's not as easy as rock, pop, or rap.

i agree, jazz is the hardest.

  • agreed jazz is very hard but so is early rock because it was influenced by jazz with all the triplets

  • dont say stuff unless YOU know what your talking about.

any musical style is hard at a certain level.

there are drummers made for every kind of music imaginable. if you want a great prog. metal drummer, i can only say Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart.

Jazz- Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Tony Williams...

music in general- not just drumming, is hard. just need to sit your ass to get to a level where u can do these things.

  • Dude, I know, I've been playing drums for a while. But dude, you listed crap. Buddy Rich, Ed Shaughnessy, Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, Gene Krupa, Mitch Mitchell. Thats real drumming.

  • nice on Baker brah, no one ever mentions that mofo.

  • Yeah, Ginger is heavily underrated.

  • Mike Portnoy, Derek Roddy, Hellhammer, THAT is real drumming

  • Answer me... Are you a drummer? If so what kind?

  • Im metal-deathmetal drummer ^^ maybe ur more jazz-rock or something?

  • Ok. I see. You're into metal and stuff. Jazz is soooooo hard. But I understand why you think those drummers are good. Mike is pretty good.

  • there metal drummers loool hell hammer was good but isnt so much anymore Inferno seems better, Derek Roddy id class a real drummer as he plays all forms of music and mike portnoy is a alright drummer :)

  • Mike Portnoy is "alright"?

He is one of the drum Gods~

  • WTF?!? So you're saying Mike Portnoy sucks? Yeah right...

  • Cool... But a bit sloppy now and then...

  • he has great hands no doubt about it but it would better with some foot play....anyway....hes really good

  • 1:51-2:04 best fucking thing ive ever heard!!!!!!!

  • good!

i like the final part :)

  • WOW!!! this guy is good!!

  • how many years of drumming will get you this far?

  • Dunno, 25 maybe?

  • depends on how much you åractice. For a total beginner, i'd say bout 4-5. If you practice hard

  • Great! I like :-)

  • this guy plays too slow, he sucks

  • I'd like to see you play this... drums is not only about speed

  • im being sarcastic lol

  • Drums are not about speed at all.

  • in the marching band society it is about speed

  • actually, i'd say, as well as many others, thats its more about precision. sure its nice to have an intense book with aggressive writing, but what good is it if it's not precise!

  • damn i want that snare drum sound

  • GAH i love the beat at @ 1:57!!! i love that groove!

  • Why does he wear a headphone !!

  • because the drums a fucking loud

  • he could have a metronome in his headphone

  • well (for me) when i rehearse , it gets too loud, so we wear headphones or earplugs to lower the noise so we could hear things more clearly

  • Simply because he wants to protect his ears. All drummers should have ear protection or your ears won't last long. Especailly the ring of snare drum. I heard its frequency is lethal to the ears.

  • You're right - I always wear plugs. You can get ear plugs that are are really hard to see. They also make hearing the band easier!

  • amen to that. playing without plugs is almost aggravating when you're playing a show.

  • this drummer should perform in a circus !

  • how exactly does he get the opening high hat sound without hitting the high hat at around 2:40?

  • If you kick your hi-hat and release it quikly you'll get a sound simmular to hitting a open hi-hat.

  • thanks there.

  • damn

  • Hey to all.... this is what i call colorfull musically drumming!!!! Great man!!!;)

  • Now THATS what I call drumming.

  • 1:41 great!!

  • what i like is that it shows more technical expertise, and not just playing as fast as possible

really good, no doubt in a band, unless he thinks himself too good to be in a band XD

  • "adventurous drumming... "

    No kidding!

Awesome, though. I really liked it.

  • wish i knew this guys name but i totally learned that hihat thing where it sounds like he is doing a roll with two hands but uses only one. ftw.

  • assaf seewi

  • This is a circus act.

  • jajaja

  • esta como para el circo.

  • he's too busy... there is no melody or contagious groove in his playing, it's just flashy showmanship and basic rudiments sped up to a noticeable level. i dig the sound he gets from his instruments... I just can't listen to it for more than 30 seconds, it becomes just a cluster of sounds...

  • You are supposed to watch it, not just listen to it. Assaf is a bad ass. He can groove when that is called for too.

  • I 100% agree with you. Like, exactly.

  • WOW, This Is Very Good Drumming! What A Technique

  • Next Neil Peart?????!!!PLEASE DONT SAY THAT Snoop!

  • tricks are great, hate the sound in his set, though. toms too loose

  • thats interesting to watch and listen to lol

  • Lmao... Good joke. No one is more plain/boring then Joey J.

  • lol :D

  • Hah, slipknot, the great poseurs. Costplaying like dangerous psychos, and then chickening out from performing in the Philippines 'cause they were afraid of whatnot. And that same week they cancelled, meek little Norah Jones performed there! Poor little boylets. Snark snark.

  • BEAR VS SHARK?

  • this video is like the most awsome thing.a true living legend.

  • That Stav?

  • next Neil Pert...

  • best drummer fucking ever . haha .

  • science drummer?

  • Assaf Seewi! He's the man!

  • you know why i like this guy...because he does not do that unless loud hit any random drum stuff I hate when drummers do that cause it is a bunch of noise...this guy is straight up amazing

  • Pure magic....

  • WoW!!! i wanna play drums... like you!

    I´m a drummer girl...

    Be Blessed.

  • nice sounding ride

  • I find that th most part is

gr8 to listen to and watch but at points its very technical but too busy .I like a really nice smooth lick but that dosnt need to be carefully listened to to hear what is acctually goin on !

  • Too busy? Don't know if ya noticed, but he was playing a drum exhibition without any other musicians. Unless you are paying him to play drums on one of your songs that isn't supposed to be busy, there's no such thing as too busy. That came across like saying, "Jimi Hendrix was too busy and needs to play guitar like the guy from nickelback"....

  • how do you get a snare to sound like that

  • You need a really good snare drum. Then you need the right heads for the drum, depending on the sound you want. You next need to tune the snare to sound its absolute best. Then you need a great microphone, good equalizer, and a good compressor setting.

  • Great snare sound, one of the best I've heard.

  • That was cool. Bonus for the neon sticks.

  • cool :D

  • sweet!

  • that is awesome such a clean smooth sound

  • his drumset is such a clean setup

  • I highly recommend anyone who likes this to grab his dvd, especially if you're a drummer. This dude is amazing and great to watch.

  • SAV ROKS ME SO MUCH

  • dud its sav duh

  • That was amazing.

  • damn this guy's incredible, but who is he?

  • oh wait I guess his name is Assaf Seewi from the UK (according to the website)

  • he`s assaf seewi

  • wait wtf how have i not seen him before who the fuck is that guy

  • WTF!!!!

  • lol how kool....GJ

  • Oh this is Stav, from the video of him and the asian beatbox dude. Hes good.

  • very good playing and sound of drums...

  • damm...i jealous...i wanna how to do that..

  • whoa... (keanu reeves voice)

  • How long does it take to get that good?

  • i like the Way he Chokes his Sticks!

    there So High up Lol!

i guess thats just his Style!

    man hes Awsome1

his Skill and Style is Killer!

  • Great drummer but the snare sounds horrible!

  • wWoOowW

  • Umm.. to Mr.drummersam...mate..."Play a cover of Bink or something some time, So we can see if your any good".................... I think he has pissed all over any blink song there is...this guy is a musician he doesnt just play drums....not having a go, but try to be less nieve.

  • are you serious a grade one could play a blink song

so your saying this vid dosent prove hes good

  • firstly, the drumming in blink sucks. travis is not a very good drummer. isn't this already proof that he is 'any good'?

  • '' kvjello12 ''

if i was that good i would b showin off ,,

    u bum hole XD

  • haha. good point. anyone know if he has a drum isturctional video out or anything. i wanna learn some of his licks.

  • wait, no, its a yamaha!

  • 2:17-2:26 awesome!!!

  • now that is awesome drumming!!

  • Could you maybe post another video of how to do these bits plz... and a bit slower :P.

    Awesome

  • i'd like to see him play slow, super slow of time beats are way hardder than that ultra fast stuff, but still, very good little tricks and stuff

  • He is not good..

    It's like an acrobatic tric...

just look at all vids.. he does always the same!

  • i agree i was amazed at first by this guy...but after watching the other videos, especially "16 year old new zealand drummer". this guy wasnt rly that great afterall...pls everyone check out that 16 year old drummer, he is amazing.
