Assault rifles by definition have a full auto capability and unless you possess a class three licence you cant have one (unless your the bad guy). Just because it "looks like" a "Main battle rifle" does not mean that it IS one. The idiots in the anti gun lobby need to get their facts correct here. A semi automatic can look like a "machine gun" as they "say", but operate no differently than my Marlin 60 semi auto .22 rifle.
I have to retract the last comment I made. I watched the other video on him recanting his statement and I believe that it was a mistake on his part and having had words put in his mouth. At about 1:20 he said "if you're a hunter". Also, he is using the military definition of assault weapon which means full-auto, not the media "buzzword" that causes so much hysteria.

He was definite in his statement that AWs should only be in the hand of military. He said if you are hunter you should only have 1 round if your good, or 5. Of course that's up to debate but the right to bear arms is certainly NOT primarily for hunting.

Assault rifles by definition have a full auto capability and unless you possess a class three licence you cant have one (unless your the bad guy). Just because it "looks like" a "Main battle rifle" does not mean that it IS one. The idiots in the anti gun lobby need to get their facts correct here. A semi automatic can look like a "machine gun" as they "say", but operate no differently than my Marlin 60 semi auto .22 rifle.

I have to retract the last comment I made. I watched the other video on him recanting his statement and I believe that it was a mistake on his part and having had words put in his mouth. At about 1:20 he said "if you're a hunter". Also, he is using the military definition of assault weapon which means full-auto, not the media "buzzword" that causes so much hysteria.

With all due respect, you should re-watch the video and retract your retraction. This guy is no better than Jim Zumbo. He was definite in his statement that AWs should only be in the hand of military. He said if you are hunter you should only have 1 round if your good, or 5. Then he went on to talking about AWs and said you only need 5 rounds in those.
Also, so what if he really meant fully-auto (which he didn't). You have a right to keep and bear arms, not just duck huntin' guns.

If you are defending yourself in your home,
and you haven't stopped someone in 5 rounds chances are you are dead, cut, or the thug is out of commission. If you are defending yourself on the street, I hope you are a good enough shot to do it with 5 or I hope Im not anywehere near you.

What I mean by that is that the NRA no longer seems to represent the average-Joe hunter/shooter...me. When most people these days think of the NRA they think of camo and AK47s. I would never make a law banning more than 5 rounds, but I do agree that we don't need more than 5. I just don't see why people want a banana clip...what good are they to a hunter or as a defensive weapon?

I need for then 5 shots becuase criminals dont give a crap about the law and carry what ever they want(high cap mags, machine guns) and I just want my AR with a stnadard 30 round mag. The police face the same criminals that attack normal people and they feel the need to have alot more then 5 rounds.
PS, cops are civillians too. And the 'unorganized militia is all males 17-45.
