What about ...The Best of Everything, A World Apart, The Young Marrieds, Bright Promise, Where the Heart Is, How to Survive a Marriage, Return to Peyton Place, nighttime Peyton Place, Our Private World (ATWT's short-lived prime-time spin-off), Hidden Faces, Young Dr. Malone...
Wonderful archive! Vera Allen was on two obscure old-time soaps, THE O'NEILLS, and FROM THESE ROOTS. Might any of our more seasoned Youtubers have a recollection of these?
@runnerrk Its not Claudia Shipman, she is confessing her Sexual sins.... i heard theres a meatball stuck in her vagina.... this woman has a strange fetish for a creationist like yourself
hehehe still thinking continental drifting and evolution are myth's?
Runerk is for sure the Dumbest person ive seen on the tube... everybody take a look at this racist channel..... the ignorant fuck is stuck in medievil times
american soaps are amazing! emmerdale is only good when its copying american soaps, when they bring in the big families like the Kings and the Tates. Home farm is just a mini Carrington mansion or South fork.
The "ballad" sounding ones are always the best like...WORLD TURNS; DAYS; PASSIONS; SAVANNAH; Y&R. My heart stops when Ken Roberts says "this is... LOVE OF LIFE." Beautiful.
I agree. Peyton Place was groundbreaking as the first primetime serial & set the trend for Dynasty, Knots Landing, Dallas & Falcon Crest.. It should be there! :-) So should How To Survive A Marriage, Rituals & Valley of the Dolls.
Wow, I seen soaps form the early days. I knw of a few of them but, wow that is a lot of them. Its sad to see many leave the air thru the years, but we will always have memories of them all. I glad you put some of the Prime Time soaps in there. Even the half comedy one form CBS Mary Heartman Mary Heartman

Very nice montage!! Please consider creating a "Pt. 2" to include: Peyton Place, Our Private World, Berrengers, The Survivors, Secrets of Midland Heights, Bare Essence, Emerald Point, N.A.S., Beverly Hills 90210, Winnetka Road, The Yellow Rose, Number 96, and Kings Crossing. Thank you!!!
i would do anything to get my hands on some of the classic nightime/daytime soaps. i sell/trade tons of soap stuff and i am always looking for more soap stuff so if anyone has episodes i could buy/trade please let me know
i loved to watch some of the old soaps here on youtube but the guy who put the episodes up pulled all of them(or they were pulled for him by youtube). he doen't even have an account with youtube anymore
I know of at least three that you left off, the 1960's "Never Too Young" & "Peyton Place" & the early 1990's "Twin Peaks". Also, the 1970's TV comedy "Soap" could be considered and should be considered a soap opera, as well -- because despite it's unconventional flaunting of soap conventions, it's storylines were definitely told in a soap opera way. And there are a couple of other nighttime shows that have some soap conventions of storytelling.
I couldn't find Peyton Place and I had never heard of Never Too Young. I left out Soap because I think of it more as a comedy than a soap. Many of the nighttime shows with soap conventions of storytelling are still considered different because of the weight given to story lines that are resolved within one episode.
This is pretty cool. Thanks for posting this. It's really interesting to know how many soaps have been on tv over the past several decades. The only ones that I know of is AMC, Another World, ATWT, B&B, The City, Dallas, DOOL, The Doctors, Dynasty, Generations, GH, GH: NS, GL, Knot's Landing, Loving, Melrose Place, OLTL, Pacific Palisades, Passions, Port Charles, Ryan's Hope, Santa Barbara, Search for Tomorrow, Sunset Beach, and The Young and Restless. Those are the only ones that I know of.

It was a movie in the 50s with Lana Turner and Hope Lange based on a novel by Grace metalious.
In the 60s it was a soap opera with Mia Farrow and Ryan O'Neal.
