  • I found information saying a touring bike will have 34-36 spokes to handle the extra weight. Mine has 32 on the back wheel and 28 on the front. How do you think a bike like that will hold up with 40 lbs of weight? It's an aluminum frame. Does it help that I am only 140 lbs? Why does the weight of the person never come into question when discussing tourinng bikes? I have to ask you becuase nobody has answers at bike stores. They don't give a shit about bike touring.

  • Hey Aaron, Thank you for the videos. I have a question. Do all panniers fit all bikes? There is so many panniers and bikes does one have to go with the other? I don't want to spend alot and I found a set of cheap good looking panniers and then a cheap rack on a different websites. But will they go together? How can you be sure? I was originally saving to buy a touring bike but I decided to just use my old bike which is really nice.

  • 1ST tour 5000 mile, whatever try something little small first, go for a weekend or a week you know

  • I am going to do my first tour in June. 5000 miles to be exact. Can I pick your brain a little?
