You can always catch fish here. The pace gets a little slower in the extreme (cold, hot) weather, and you will have to change techniques for different seasons. I've caught fish in every month of the year. I go 3 times a week some times more. I fish alot. LOL
I love cricket fishing! Haven't done it in a while but used crickets and grasshoppers (caught myself alongside the road) as a kid for years and years. Nice fish in that pond. Tight lines!

Roanoke Rapids/ Weldon NC for Stripers. Rockfish capital of the world. Never fished for Sturgeons, or Salmon, so I'm not to sure about those.
