  • LMFAO "fuzzzy wazzy was a bear...."

  • This color looks great on your locs even though it's only temporary.

  • Thank the Lord it's temp

  • did yu have to put a booster in your hair to get it that bright? mines like a burgandy but im trying to get that color you got

  • I used this dye about 15 years ago ...My locs were green my hair was completely bleached.

  • Manic Panic is no better than anything else, it might last about a week or a week and a half before it starts fading. All bright colors like that need to be kept up more so it's a little more work. There is something like red bleach I think, it literally bleaches your hair red but I don't know if you want to keep bleaching it, and even that needs to be touched up. I really love that color though your hair looks amazing! I want to dye the ends of my hair teal. :)

  • my sister dye her dreads brown and then blond, then back to black. They broke badly she had to cut them, they were waist length. I hope that doesn't happen to you apples :(

  • I think you needed the bleach to set longer

  • idk if anyone has mentioned her yet...but check out 0nDeck's channel..her hair colour's awesome!

  • Usually with dark hair youllneed bleach to make it bright like the displays show all the time because with blonde hair it wont b dark but brown/black hair you have to do alot to it to make it show

  • Well if you want it brighter your gonna need to buy powder bleach at a hair store and/or a bottle of stabilizer(peroxide) probably number 10 or 20( the higher the number the brighter the color will be) the lightest is 50 but it would probably turn red to pink so u dnt wanna go tht far lol

  • Your hair looking great! Can't wait to get to that length! Beautiful smile also!

  • feeling so informed! i'm the play-it-safe type when it comes to...well life. lol i've been lockd now for 3years 5mos i've been thinking about dying my loc's but im ascared of dying my hair a bad color so now that I know theres temporary dye AND i dont have to always wash my entire head between twists i'm is xcited! lol thanks darikins!

  • Dark & Lovely Red Hot Rhythm works really well - but the best way for the color to come out vibrant is to have the locs be as light as possible - I know two people who had blonde locs and used the dye, and their locs came out BRIGHT red. Check out 0nDeck's channel to see what I mean.

  • WHY the heck are you still using clips to retwist your hair?!?! ps. the red looks beautiful

  • @chescalocs chesca.... I am the same way... i tried the twist on itself thing and my hair said no Mamdam!!

  • use the splat red dye. i used it and it came out really good.

  • MANIC PANIC..... That's what I used when my ends were Barney purple...

  • @barbaydian261 purple hair?! intense.

  • @barbaydian261 MANIC PANIC IS THE FUCKIN BEST!!!

  • Try Dark&Lovely: Red HOT rhythm it will give you the vibrant red you crave :)

  • i recommend textures and tones' "ruby rage". been dying my hair that colour for years.. but red hair fades fast... u can proll do a carrot rinse to help it last longer but it will fade into a redbrown.

  • @trinkim that's what i got that made my hair look pinkish. it just didn't take very well at all for some reasom

  • @applesandmustard *reason.

  • @applesandmustard thats weird.. bummer. its such a pretty colour. the bright red looks good on u tho :)

  • You should try "L'Oréal Technique - Excellence HiColor Red HiLights" I dyed my locs with this color and it only took one box and the results are AWESOME. It will look like the temporary color you used.

  • i sent u a request on words w/ friends...play me! u will go down!

  • Like button! Well when I got my hair colored. the lady used this thing called lightner.

  • Yes manic panic will work great on your locs. Give that a try next time.

  • You should have left more blonde so that there was a cool mix. I can't really see the blonde locks.

  • @Natashalulu i know...i was too scared =/ now though i'm like man, i should've just dyed them all the same. eh well. next time!

  • I dyed my hair red last week and it turned out a red-brown, but I wanted it really red too! so I re-did it a couple of days later

  • I second one other person who mentioned Manic Panic - plenty of youtube vids on the vibrant red colors done with great results. That would look good :)

  • I like that color, now I would never dye mines but I do like that for you

  • I never ever cut mine that start breaking... I make tiny knots in them?

  • @npfalcon30 yea i've done that for some but this one was better of just being snipped off.

  • @npfalcon30 lol me too!

  • You need to start from the bottom then work your way to the top Imma take pic of my hair and it is Intense Red

  • Apples!!!! would you prefer brown or blondish tips?

  • @TheBeeRiceshow blonndish! i've had blond tips for like 4 years.

  • Manic panic!

  • I had my friend dye mines blue shes a professional cosmetologist though and she used like a really high end bleack and then usually the really nice colors come from salons but if you can find like a cosmetologist friend and see what bases and developers to mixx to get your color thats the only thing i can think.... most of the stuff in retail stores arent that great

  • lol !! @ the spongebob "2 hrs later" voice

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE the deep red!

  • This make me want some cheetos.

  • @ikkinnikk Lol they do look like red hot cheetos lol i said they look like Twizzlers

  • try manic panic for super bright hair :0)

  • u could try manic panic.

  • you should watch prettydimples she shows how she dyes her hair in a video and she's a hair dresser.. plus i don't think she re-bleaches it i think she uses a red booster

  • your dreads are beautiful. can't wait til i get mine

  • @elenavlada i'm everything.

  • @applesandmustard no m being serious, cos i have a friend who is XXY, and you just remind me of my special friend. :)

  • @elenavlada i can be your special friend :)

  • @applesandmustard lmao that is the ultimate answer ( idky it made me laugh) if they couldnt clearly see that you are a girl i swear people say the darndest things :D

  • All you have to do is get a vibrant red from Clairol brand permanent color you would also get a 40 volume developer this will brighten and lift the dark hair mix equal portions of color to developer I. E. 2 oz color to 2 oz developer apply to dark areas of hair and skip the hair that is already red process under a plastic cap under dryer medium heat for 40 min during the last 10 min pull color through to ends and process under dryer for 10 min this should give you the lift and vibrancy

  • I'm lovin' the colour! Did you use a developer w/ the temporary dye, OR did you use the dye solo? I want to try my hand at colouring my hair for the Xmas :-)

  • Mom does locs professionally. Tho she doesn't dye, her clients may venture out and do so. She noticed that many who did end up with much shedded hair on the floor after a retightening (by interlocking). One client's hair had been eaten up by the dye process on the crown of her head. Show your locs some love and do some research b4 the next dive why don't you? :)

  • @multicoloredlover im showing them lots of love..and color :) i dont think i'll have to worry about my hair falling out during the twisting process and such since i'm not letting any dye touch my roots. it's an experiment! plus, you know it is while looking for info online, one person will suggest NEVER to do something and the other will SWEAR by it, so at the end i think it's up to the person to make the best decision they know how to make :)

  • @applesandmustard Lol I digz..and you're right, it depends on individual's hair texture. My overall point is that dye can be a harsh chemical regardless of what works so I hope you'll be mindful. peace & lots of love!

  • *When I went to school to become a certified barber...*

  • You cant get a permanent red... Red pigment always will fade away to a lighter color... Maybe becuz it a prime color... But yeah you would have to color it ever couple months to keep it bright red... I learned that in school when to become a certified barber...

  • I've been trying to dread my hair myself. :/ it's a process :/

  • also go to sallys and get red hair dye and volume 10 that will do it for ya

  • feria is the best hair dye i know

  • Next time you bleach it put a toner on it, that way the color will be VERY vibrant.

  • Locs*

  • Hot topic has those jars full of permanent color.. I think sallys has em too... But they are sooooper bright!!

  • I recently did a copper penny color that came out bright red. Only thing is, it's semi permanent :( I didn't want red but when I saw my loca I loved it! Just have to find that color in a permanent. Try looking in the creme of nature dyes. They have alot of reds. That's where I'm gona look

  • Locs look lovely in red, my favorite color *swoons*.. I'm totally convinced you did that cause you knew I'd love it.. Right? Right? Lmao

  • i loveee itt they look like flammin hot cheetos lollll

  • that color looks good on you

  • you look so young....good job lil lady

  • it looks like autumn...nice:)

  • clairol red hot red.

  • If u bleached it then nooo just ue the color did u look at lillydots video

  • "Two hours later"

    Lmao. Spongebob.

  • make sure with bleaching your hair..............condition...condition...condition......will stop breakage.

  • Quick quick question.. First I love the color lil lady. My hair is black how could I get my tips that red color? Does it has to blonde first? If so, how long from blonde to red?

  • You should try manic panic.

  • I love the colour =) I may dye my baby coils not yet dreads so I can have tips when they grow out. x

  • I like this color :)

  • I see a lot of people on youtube using manic panic and it works pretty well. John and Nikki from PVP used it in a prank on Nikki and it worked awesome. EXECPT it was PURPLE. LOL.

  • Don't you have to bleach it first, and then dye it?

  • Manic Panic....rocknroll red. I just colored the ends of my locs with it. I love it!

  • Like the temporary color...

  • Red hot red by clairol is good

but I see you have a lot of suggestions so it may get confusing for you

  • looks nice :)

  • I'd go to a professional to get it permanently dyed. :]

  • Do u still have words with friends? Wordfued or hanging with friends? I tried to enter your name but it didn't come up please come by and play with me Jessitaks thanks :)

  • get it done at an aveda salon check out my dreads

  • I'm srry I gave u the wrong info its loreal highcolor highlighter and 30 developer look at a youtuber named lillydot

  • Add me on words with friends: iSlappedDrPhil

  • I couldn't find you on words with friends. Add me: i

  • Get ms clairol very very red anduse 20 volume with it it comes in the small tube u will need like 4 ..I'm a liscenced locktician

  • @femmeredlockz 20 volume developer stuff? even if my hair was already bleached?

  • 0nDeck dyes her locs red. Maybe ask her what she uses. I'm not sure if the dye she uses is permanent or temporary though.

  • the dark & lovely went really close to red for me and I didn't have any bleach in my hair so it should be even redder for you

  • your always happy i love it:) ur dreads looking good ur always looking for a change thats a good thing keep it up

  • @TheSlickBoi4Life yay! i try not to make too many videos when i'm not happy =/

  • Pravana Vivids. Never touch manic panics or anything you can buy at Hot Topic of a conventional dyes. If you have a friend with a cosmetology license, go get a box of Pravana Vivids. They last about a week, then you redye it and the color never leaves. Possible third application may be needed, but it's a very strong dye.

    Love,

    A cosmetologist :)

  • @mybffcody why wouldn't a cosmetologist use manic panic? just curious. i dont know anything about manic panic.

  • @applesandmustard she probably means its a waste of money cause its not very strong

  • kinda reminds me of hot cheetos

  • @toosmoothyeadigg so so true

  • try special effects

  • Gorgeous hair!

  • Looking ReaL GooD :o)

  • Manic Panic Dye is good for white peoples hair but for ethnic hair I wouldn't recommend it. I'd say you can use a lightener & then put rinses on them like you're doing. Even though rinse drys your hair, it's better than dye on dye which will dry it even more.

  • @VinceVolta i think manic panic is TOO bright and wild. i think i'll stick to the rinses. how long do they usually last?

  • @applesandmustard I just went from blonde to black. Rinse last for a couple weeks of course they fade in time. The cool thing about rinses is they are cheap & you can buy a new tube again with no worries. Dye on dye is bad for your hair. I'd recommend you keep up what you're doing. Your hair looks fabulous!

  • Sadly there is no way to get a permanent bright red like that trust me i have tried, it will only be natural red head red or dark copperish red, no kool-aid red..because the molecules of red dye are too big to penetrate the cortex of the hair thats why it fades over time..u just gotta get use to buying color more or shampooing less..and adore is good get the ruby red next time or Beyond Zone has one called Wild Red i but its thick and doesnt splash everywhere like adore does..Peace & Blessings!

  • @that1taylor do people do that usually? just keep using temporaries over and over again?

  • @applesandmustard Yes that's what i do too, that's pretty much the only way..Semi-permanent color doesn't damage ur hair so its cool..during the summer i was coloring my hair all the time cause i would swim and it fade all out..But yes that is the usual if they have a color that is red, blue, green..u know the loud colors!

  • Adore is a rinse, just make sure you moisturize your hair a lot because dye & especially rinses dry your hair out drastically. It can cause breakage.

  • Go black

  • @MissMiesh nah no black. that seems too dull for me =/

  • Their AWESOME!!!!

  • well the reddish purple looks really punk rocker i say it works especially with the lil blondes

  • yea manic panic i heard is great. next time you should do ORANGE!! lol that'd b wild

  • @PumkinSeedandSpice i want too! omg i do . i found the perfect picture of the color i want too.

  • nice!

  • Good hair

  • L'oreal Excellence HiColor Red, idk how it works on dreads but it normally comes out REALLY bright red. They have it at Sally's.

  • That looks really good!

  • Use the dye 0nDeck always used to use~ Dark&Lovely - Red HOT Rhythm

  • @MrsTealFish i thought she said sunset brown or something like that but she just said it came out really red

  • @iJam24 She mentioned it one of her videos~

  • @MrsTealFish oh the first time she dyed it red in her video "answering formspring questons (part2)" she said it was dark and lovely sunset brown ... but in her recent video she said Red Hot Rhythm lol my bad

  • i think it looks great

  • @redalmond2257 thanks :)

  • I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love it Daria! Make sure when you wash it again, that you section out the blonde ones so that the semi permanent color doesn't get on the lighter ones. Not sure if this dye would do that but some I've used in the past would and it may leave the lighter ones pink.

  • @misssandycandy thanks for the tip!

  • cute.

  • Use Manic Panic Dye
