@CrAcK123Cr There is only like 1/3 chance to get a bad modifier and if you do you can just reforge again. A bad modifier also means next reforge is cheaper.

i think you have to defeat the goblin army either once or twice. From wat i know you can find him in the dungeon and from underground jungle +mechanic is also found in the dungeon.

so this guy Toby who does a lets play goes into the dungeon, and in the FIRST ROOM finds both the Tinkerer and the mechanic. he frees the mechanic, flirts with her a bit, the leaves the goblin.

the luckiest thing in terraria, and he just leaves it.

You can find all the tied up npcs in the dungeon and you have to have free room and you have to defeat the wall o flesh

For everyone who can't figure out how to do this, once skeletron has been defeated, then the wizard, mechanic, and goblins spawn randomly, and you wont have to go running around once you beat mr. Skeletron, they spawn in already explored caverns, basically once you beat skelletron, just check back to all you caves, and the NPC's respond to the enemy vision potion, I'm not sure thought. Hope I could help.
