I use that quote all the time now: "you make your own Christianity". So many of my friends are Christians but all seem to think that they can do whatever the fuck they want without it compromising their inevitable place in heaven.
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL But here's the thing, "wanting to be rich" is, in my opinion, unethical. You want to rid yourself of the stress of paying bills.-why do you have bills in the first place? but what you really want to is to get more and bigger stuff. It's just a part of that. You don't need billions of dollars to live on planet earth. It doesn't cost that much.
Most people in this country are in debt, but they don't have to be. It has to do with this need to have more stuff and big stuff.
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Well what does it matter if it's honest? They still have more money than everyone else and are fulfilling a vice. You can be a nice alcoholic or a nice hoarder, but you've still got a problem in your life.
Also, what to do with that money? God there are people starving and dying and you have such an excess of money that you don't need. There's a problem there. You are hoarding something you don't need to hoard. Why not just let it all go to people who just need it?
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL I could see just wanting a bit of pocket money, but most people can't stop there. They've got to have more and more because it is a part of our natural need to compete and survive better.
Even a person who has a thirst for knowledge or music or books is fulfilling that need in some way. They value knowledge or music instead of gold. What's the difference here?
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL 1. You can't eat gold, it's not exactly nourishing for survival. 2. You can't build a shelter or tools out of gold. All gold does it shine and look pretty. It makes people feel like they're important and they're noticeable if they wear the shiny object or have more shiny objects then the next person.
Some people try to fill a need with gold, but the obsession with gold is in my opinion a vice like any other. It is like alcohol, drug, gambling, food, shopping addictions.
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL I don't even believe that, I believe those people are the absolute minority. Most people are not hermits, most people want to be loved and have meaningless conversations on small talk just to feel like they're not alone for two seconds of their life. People need people, we are a herd like species and so the hermits of our population are quite rare.
I think there's something wrong with wanting to be rich. What the fuck do you need to be rich for?
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Here's some interesting trivia, John McCain's wealth dates back to the middle ages. Is he really smarter than anyone on this planet? Was Bush? His family did something right that allowed them to collect massive amounts of wealth. That's it. These people try to keep the rest of us in our place, but we're still their peasants. They've just given us a house in the suburbs, a mini van, and fast food restaurants.
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Wanting a better life is not the same thing as wanting to be rich. Being "rich" is this odd need that infects us all. I've never see anyone go unaffected by this need.
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Well money is just an object, so of course it could never be evil. It's the need people have for hording things that get's in the way. The need to have more stuff, where does it say that enlightened people can't want more stuff?
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL But I don't see that happening because enlightened people would see no point in physically building the bridge in the first place. Who would volunteer to build it? As opposed to simply support and fund it. How many brillaint and philosophical construction workers do you know? I'm not saying they don't exist, but people are gravitating toward more academic or at least white collar jobs as society becomes more "enlightened" than it was years ago.
What he says is actually true. I also love how religious people think that there must be something after death, but that it doesnt apply to any other living thing on the world. If a dog dies, hes dead, but if a person dies he goes on a cloud. why dont the animals get to go to a heaven?
Comedy is the right approach towards religion. Religion deserves just laughter and ridicule, around the clock. Untill superstitious morons give up and hide in shame.
@tysken94 : Think about witchcraft. There are still people burned alive as witches. Do you think you have the right to tell those witch-burners they are wrong?
What about the people who rape baby girls because sex with a virgin cures Aids. Do you have the right to tell them they are wrong?
How about the people who chop off arms and legs of living albinos for lucky charms. Might you have the audacity to tell them they are wrong? By what reason?
@bary1234 i have never said religion is right. faith and religion are two different things. religion is the practicing of a faith that has been corrupted by manmade dogmas. faith is following your heart and believe what you want to believe.
@tysken94 : And you do realise that there are wrong beliefs? And that people who care about the truth must not allow wrong beliefs to be spread to children. We must make sure people dont lie to children. Religious brainwashing must be stopped.
What do you mean by following your heart? Follow your brains, man. Follow the evidence.
@bary1234 still, it is important to let others have their freedom of faith. if you can't accept people thinking differently than you, you have the same structure of thought as most religious and political extremists i know.
anyway, why sould making one's own christianity be a problem? is it not better than blindly following the words of some bloody cleric?
i myself, am a synchretist, catholic baptised by my own will when i was 7, but simply found another way for me. i believe in all gods as symb
@tysken94 : As long as you dont teach your superstition to any children, or try to act upon it in any way that effects anybody else, you are fine by me. You can be as crazy as you like inside your own head.
My beef is with religious schools and indoctrination of children. If we can stop that, we can end religions in one generation. And this world will be so much brighter and better place for it.
@bary1234 i partly aggree. allthough i still think that, even without importing, actually ESPECIALLY without importing the beliefs, books like the bible teach a great lesson if you read between the lines. for example the new testament. you don't have to believe in resurrection to get the point. hell i don't believe in resurrection. but the point is what matters.
@tysken94 haha naw, the bible doesnt say anything that other books cant say. but it does condone slavery, murder, infanticide, rape, etc. just look itup. you cant pretned the bible is still a really good moral guide, its not. its fucking trash written by ignorant men... its good literature AT BEST. nothing moral about it.
@tysken94 thats why when you read about slavery and rape in the bible you just pass right over it and pretend its not there, because you already have morality. your using your already formed morality to critisize the bible, if morality came from the bible you couldnt do that.
@tysken94 : Yes, people who wrote the bible have snatched some good ideas from society to mash in to the book. Those good ideas are buried in so much bullshit and disgusting barbarism that bible still is one of the worse books ever written.
We should not read between the lines when it comes to the bible, we should read between whole books. Meaning skip the bible and read something real. Read science, read proper meanigfull books.
@bary1234 That's the spirit, keep ridiculing other people's beliefs and disrespecting their God(s) that's how we get world peace! Right on atheists, you guys rule!
@JHP717 Think about witchcraft.
@bary1234 I agree with you (I say shoot those criminals) We should be able to distinguish what is right and what is wrong. But you specifically said the right approach to religious people is to laugh at them and ridicule them. That means you will ridicule any and all religions regardless of whether they commit those barbarous acts or not. What I want to say is that if somebody's belief does not harm you why interfere with others' right to freedom? Shouldn't you respect their right to believe?
@JHP717 : Well If you never talk about your religion, I will never ridicule you. I will never assume somebody is religious, and laugh at them just because of a quess.
But if any religious propaganda is ever aimed at me, or effects me in any way, I will oppose it.
If religious people keep their superstitions in their head, and dont talk about religion or write about it in public forums or try to spread their insanity in any other way, I am fine with it.
@JHP717 : But if people cross the line and open their mouths and pure stupid starts to fall out of their skull, thats when normal people must react. We must close up the bullshit-hoses of religion.
So inside your own head you can be as stupid as you like, nobody needs to know and nobody should make fun of you for it. Just keep it in there. Let it die with you.
World would be so much better and brighter place once its gone.
Even if mocked or ridiculed, your right to believe is still respected. Your beliefs however are not. There's a big difference between the two, and you'd do wisely in learning it.
Really funny video and very true. I'm an atheist, but I probably know more about the Bible than most Christians. In fact, most Christians mprobably arent aware that according to the Bible (i.e. word of God), They are forbidden by their God to do the following things: Cut their hair, shave their beard, eat shellfish, wear clothes comprised of two fabrics, eat hooved animals, wear glasses, have a blemish. Its all in that good ol' Bible folks !!
@unlockthepower All can be found in the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament (thats the true unedited version, before present day Christians got their hands on it and edited it to suit their own needs).
@proteoid I agree with the point you were making but as far as im aware Leviticus says to eat only animals with cloven hooves that chew grass not no hooved animals. It says no shellfish, pork, reptiles, insects, birds of prey etc but allows Poultry, Beef/lamb/other grazing animals, fish (but not any and all because some filter and contain toxins) milk, honey, fruit, tubers, vegetables ands grains. Nightshade fruits are frowned about in some people's view as well.
@proteoid its not exactly feasible to stick 100% to everything in the bible. you can say you're a christian without following the bible word for word. "Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus" keep in mind when the book was written. and all of those things you pointed out have a religious context and are not just silly rules but all of the above would imply that you were deviating outside your faith IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
@BornWhiteSupremacy To a Christian, atheists are the worst thing in the world. Not believing in god is the worst thing you can do. You can rape a baby, gouge out it's eyes and then fuck the holes where it's eyes were, all while the baby is still alive, and you still haven't committed a sin as unconscionable as not believing in god.
In fact, the baby raper skull fucker did god's work; that baby was an atheist.
@ninjajesus81 Yet we don't....and statistics show that Christians are among the highest ranked criminals in America....
Explain that to me.
If God can forgive you for anything, where's the motivation to NOT commit crimes? As an atheist, I don't believe I am forgiven for my actions, so there is no motivation for me to commit crime.
@Sshelly34213 Yet we don't rape babies? Of course not. A theist is a lot more likely to do that. Priests basically molest little kids for a living.
The bible tells you to do things that are considered crimes nowadays. The good people skip over that part or interpret it in a way that doesn't obligate them to do it.
The crazy people just go ahead and do it. The crazy people just have their condition exacerbated by reading the bible in the first place.
@ninjajesus81 Yea. People are just empty, pathetic, and miserable searching for some way to validate their existence. So they do it with meaningless labels. Most people, at the end of the day, don't actually believe in heaven or God.
Religion is basically the same thing as nationalism, racial/cultural pride.
@Sshelly34213 Theists, Christians especially, are mostly just like us. Most of them don't go to church and don't pray. The only difference is they say they believe in god. That's the only difference... oh, and they sin a lot more.
I think they really do believe in god and all that stuff. Most of them aren't very smart. They just know that they'll be able to beg for forgiveness before they die and all will be forgiven. That's what they've been taught.
@ninjajesus81 I know they really don't, my mother and I had a conversation one day, a very honest one. This was before I was an atheist, I said, "do you really go anywhere when you die?" My said, "No you just go to sleep"
That's what she ACTUALLY believes, no matter what sappy, altruistic thing she says in front of her guests at parties or in front of my grandmother to try and impress or please them.
@ninjajesus81 The people that really believe this shit are weak minded or insane. Jones was a sociopath who manipulated weak minded people to believe in his rubbish. The same thing applies to Pat Robertson/Graham and all of those nut bag evangelical liars. They understand how to read people's body movements, they understand their social cues and how they work and what they mean, because all they know how to do is mimic them. Sociopaths have no ability to feel, but must pretend like they do.
@ninjajesus81 It's not that people aren't smart, it's that they're too afraid to voice their real opinions and thoughts. So they fall into line and accept what happens.
Most people are simply followers and I believe it is an inherent part of their nature. There will never be a world full of free thinkers because nothing would ever get done if we had no one to fall in line and build a bridge or roads. Just as long as we have that, we have those leaders who will corrupt them.
@BornWhiteSupremacy If you ask me, it's pretty stupid to curse and condemn with words and terms that come from exactly the same belief which is being ridiculed, challenged and made fun of. Hell only exists in your sick mind, and especially the words immoral and sinful came from that same outrageous belief. Newsflash: god made this reality including the possibility for non-christian beliefs, are you saying that God condemns it's own creation? By the way your nickname is a disgrace, and I'm white.
There are at least 2000 different religions. Variously they worship cows, rats, monkeys or a big rock. Can I worship a monkey on a rock rather than a man on a stick?
Another thing: why do the vast majority of Christians never read the Bible? You read Dan Brown all summer, but not the "one true word of God?" I mean seriously, religion is such an easy target. I don't think anyone really believes it anymore.
@SSGSPEEDMAN No one but yourself can save you...but if you want to create a imaginery friend inside your brain to save you, that does the job for you...fine.
You realize that it says in the Bible that there is a god of this world that will corrupt minds and distort the truth? That Jesus came into this world, took on human flesh, and died for all the sins of man, and that by His resurrection, showed that the debt had been fully satisfied. The wages of sin is death. For all have fallen short of the glory of God. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son while we were still sinners. Don't you get it? Jesus = Life.
@hannaremnant No! Satan is corrupting you from the one TRUE religion: Islam! The Koran speaks of false prophets that will lead you away from Allah and all of his glory. The Bible was corrupted over the years which is why Allah sent angels to speak through the Great Prophet Mohammed! It is YOU that is a victim of corruption. Allahu Akbar! (this is satire)
The Bible never says we go to heaven (or hell) when we die. Rather, the righteous are resurrected at the second coming. The wicked are resurrected in what the Bible calls the second resurrection 1000 years after the righteous' resurrection.
Go to ww w.helltruth. com
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Ahhh, this is so beautiful! It makes so much sense if you just stop and THINK about it. Like he said, how many people would believe that nonsense if they weren't spoonfed it from an infant? I remember being 11 yrs old and whispering in my mom's ear at church, "How does God know he's God?" She shushed me and said, "He just knows." From that moment on - I knew religion was bullshit.
You don't need to be religious to be a good person. If you can't tolerate a stranger just out of instinctive hostility, then perhaps you should look at yourself and step out of your goddamn ego and take a look at yourself. Aren't we taught by the simple rules of consideration and decency to be open-minded and keep your gaping hole shut when you don't have anything nice to say? I didn't need life lessons preached to me about ancient events to teach me that.
You are all going to hell, every single person who laughed and enjoyed this will. Jesus walked this earth for the good of all of us and fucktards like you make fun of him for that. Go fuck youself. Christianism is the only religion that makes sense.
ooooh! you said 'jesus' and 'fuck'... you're going to hell.... TWICE!
which means we're going to have to throw you out twice. hell is only for cool people. we don't want the likes of you, with your negative ass buzz kill bullshit, fucking up our eternal marshmallow roast orgy.... so be real 'good' and typical and boring and ignorant from now on. we need you to fall back into jesus' good graces so he lets you spend eternity in Lamesville praising him...sounds like a real hoot!
@CoryKnightgown you dont go to hell for saying "jesus" and "fuck" otherwise virtually everyone would go to hell. Dont make fun of the sun of the creator. Get a religion and then we will talk.
@Bernardozila Son... Anyways a true God wouldn't allow hell to exist. Any omnipotence being with a conscience wouldn't allow such thing to exist unless the God is corrupt. Who am I kidding... 99% Atheist.
"If you ever argue with a theist or deist as I do every day, you'll find they all believe in a god of their very own. Indeed, they often say a personal god. Indeed they often say a personal Savior. So out of what are we reifying a concept that applies to all of us, except out of nothing but wish thinking, and nonsense, and fear, and ignorance, and above all, and I'm not quitting on this point, servility!"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
"You believe all the parts that don't affect your life at all"
Holy craps he's nailed it right on the head!
However, my church says the same thing. They believe that most professing Christians in the world are not Christians at all. They call it "seeker friendly" churches, and they hate them.
If I hadn't been born into a church that tried to force me into believing in ALL of the Bible, I probably would've lived for the rest of my life vaguely "knowing" jesus existed, but not caring
". . . . why do you wear a seatbelt? Because you're just not sure." lol
Good point. If you're that sure about heaven, why stick around in this miserable sin-filled tragedy stricken world? Why not just do yourself in and be done with it? Because god forbids suicide? Oh... so he WANTS you to suffer. And people still worship him?
2 EvilJukka: someday his dog will stop barking, but not b4 it bites u in the ass, first!!!...(btw: it would seem that his dog has already been poisoned!)
God and relig. I deny all current religion b/c of an awareness of human history, i.e. use of religion to control. Anti gay, anti women anti other religion. No religion on Earth is correct. religion doesn't make u bad person and vice versa. But just study human history and pre-history. Native American, Egyptian, Catholic, Roman religions. All invented to explain the unexplainable...like weather. We're way past that and to still defend and rely on religion in any capactity is just crazy.

AtheismFTW1988 11 months ago 21
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL But here's the thing, "wanting to be rich" is, in my opinion, unethical. You want to rid yourself of the stress of paying bills.-why do you have bills in the first place? but what you really want to is to get more and bigger stuff. It's just a part of that. You don't need billions of dollars to live on planet earth. It doesn't cost that much.
Most people in this country are in debt, but they don't have to be. It has to do with this need to have more stuff and big stuff.
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Well what does it matter if it's honest? They still have more money than everyone else and are fulfilling a vice. You can be a nice alcoholic or a nice hoarder, but you've still got a problem in your life.
Also, what to do with that money? God there are people starving and dying and you have such an excess of money that you don't need. There's a problem there. You are hoarding something you don't need to hoard. Why not just let it all go to people who just need it?
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL I could see just wanting a bit of pocket money, but most people can't stop there. They've got to have more and more because it is a part of our natural need to compete and survive better.
Even a person who has a thirst for knowledge or music or books is fulfilling that need in some way. They value knowledge or music instead of gold. What's the difference here?
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL 1. You can't eat gold, it's not exactly nourishing for survival. 2. You can't build a shelter or tools out of gold. All gold does it shine and look pretty. It makes people feel like they're important and they're noticeable if they wear the shiny object or have more shiny objects then the next person.
Some people try to fill a need with gold, but the obsession with gold is in my opinion a vice like any other. It is like alcohol, drug, gambling, food, shopping addictions.
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL I don't even believe that, I believe those people are the absolute minority. Most people are not hermits, most people want to be loved and have meaningless conversations on small talk just to feel like they're not alone for two seconds of their life. People need people, we are a herd like species and so the hermits of our population are quite rare.
I think there's something wrong with wanting to be rich. What the fuck do you need to be rich for?
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Here's some interesting trivia, John McCain's wealth dates back to the middle ages. Is he really smarter than anyone on this planet? Was Bush? His family did something right that allowed them to collect massive amounts of wealth. That's it. These people try to keep the rest of us in our place, but we're still their peasants. They've just given us a house in the suburbs, a mini van, and fast food restaurants.
I don't want any money to be honest.
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Wanting a better life is not the same thing as wanting to be rich. Being "rich" is this odd need that infects us all. I've never see anyone go unaffected by this need.
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Well money is just an object, so of course it could never be evil. It's the need people have for hording things that get's in the way. The need to have more stuff, where does it say that enlightened people can't want more stuff?
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL But I don't see that happening because enlightened people would see no point in physically building the bridge in the first place. Who would volunteer to build it? As opposed to simply support and fund it. How many brillaint and philosophical construction workers do you know? I'm not saying they don't exist, but people are gravitating toward more academic or at least white collar jobs as society becomes more "enlightened" than it was years ago.
Sshelly34213 11 months ago
What he says is actually true. I also love how religious people think that there must be something after death, but that it doesnt apply to any other living thing on the world. If a dog dies, hes dead, but if a person dies he goes on a cloud. why dont the animals get to go to a heaven?

@bary1234 religion or faith?
tysken94 9 months ago
@tysken94 : Religion. If by faith you mean belief in supernatural with zero evidence then that should also be rejected from the getgo.
bary1234 9 months ago
@bary1234 by what reason should you tell others what they should not believe? isn't that a little fascistic?
tysken94 9 months ago
@tysken94 : Think about witchcraft. There are still people burned alive as witches. Do you think you have the right to tell those witch-burners they are wrong?
What about the people who rape baby girls because sex with a virgin cures Aids. Do you have the right to tell them they are wrong?
How about the people who chop off arms and legs of living albinos for lucky charms. Might you have the audacity to tell them they are wrong? By what reason?
Who are you NOT to tell them they are wrong?
bary1234 9 months ago
@bary1234 i have never said religion is right. faith and religion are two different things. religion is the practicing of a faith that has been corrupted by manmade dogmas. faith is following your heart and believe what you want to believe.
tysken94 9 months ago
@tysken94 : And you do realise that there are wrong beliefs? And that people who care about the truth must not allow wrong beliefs to be spread to children. We must make sure people dont lie to children. Religious brainwashing must be stopped.
What do you mean by following your heart? Follow your brains, man. Follow the evidence.
bary1234 9 months ago 2
@bary1234 still, it is important to let others have their freedom of faith. if you can't accept people thinking differently than you, you have the same structure of thought as most religious and political extremists i know.
anyway, why sould making one's own christianity be a problem? is it not better than blindly following the words of some bloody cleric?
i myself, am a synchretist, catholic baptised by my own will when i was 7, but simply found another way for me. i believe in all gods as symb
tysken94 9 months ago
@tysken94 : As long as you dont teach your superstition to any children, or try to act upon it in any way that effects anybody else, you are fine by me. You can be as crazy as you like inside your own head.
My beef is with religious schools and indoctrination of children. If we can stop that, we can end religions in one generation. And this world will be so much brighter and better place for it.
bary1234 9 months ago
@bary1234 i partly aggree. allthough i still think that, even without importing, actually ESPECIALLY without importing the beliefs, books like the bible teach a great lesson if you read between the lines. for example the new testament. you don't have to believe in resurrection to get the point. hell i don't believe in resurrection. but the point is what matters.
something the world's churches just don't get.
tysken94 9 months ago
@tysken94 haha naw, the bible doesnt say anything that other books cant say. but it does condone slavery, murder, infanticide, rape, etc. just look itup. you cant pretned the bible is still a really good moral guide, its not. its fucking trash written by ignorant men... its good literature AT BEST. nothing moral about it.
SelfAware1 8 months ago
@tysken94 thats why when you read about slavery and rape in the bible you just pass right over it and pretend its not there, because you already have morality. your using your already formed morality to critisize the bible, if morality came from the bible you couldnt do that.
SelfAware1 8 months ago
@tysken94 : Yes, people who wrote the bible have snatched some good ideas from society to mash in to the book. Those good ideas are buried in so much bullshit and disgusting barbarism that bible still is one of the worse books ever written.
We should not read between the lines when it comes to the bible, we should read between whole books. Meaning skip the bible and read something real. Read science, read proper meanigfull books.

bary1234 8 months ago
@bary1234 I agree with you (I say shoot those criminals) We should be able to distinguish what is right and what is wrong. But you specifically said the right approach to religious people is to laugh at them and ridicule them. That means you will ridicule any and all religions regardless of whether they commit those barbarous acts or not. What I want to say is that if somebody's belief does not harm you why interfere with others' right to freedom? Shouldn't you respect their right to believe?
JHP717 8 months ago
@JHP717 : Well If you never talk about your religion, I will never ridicule you. I will never assume somebody is religious, and laugh at them just because of a quess.
But if any religious propaganda is ever aimed at me, or effects me in any way, I will oppose it.
If religious people keep their superstitions in their head, and dont talk about religion or write about it in public forums or try to spread their insanity in any other way, I am fine with it.
bary1234 8 months ago
@JHP717 : But if people cross the line and open their mouths and pure stupid starts to fall out of their skull, thats when normal people must react. We must close up the bullshit-hoses of religion.
So inside your own head you can be as stupid as you like, nobody needs to know and nobody should make fun of you for it. Just keep it in there. Let it die with you.
World would be so much better and brighter place once its gone.
bary1234 8 months ago

Really funny video and very true. I'm an atheist, but I probably know more about the Bible than most Christians. In fact, most Christians mprobably arent aware that according to the Bible (i.e. word of God), They are forbidden by their God to do the following things: Cut their hair, shave their beard, eat shellfish, wear clothes comprised of two fabrics, eat hooved animals, wear glasses, have a blemish. Its all in that good ol' Bible folks !!
proteoid 1 year ago 65
@proteoid I would agree but I question the wearing of glasses part. Are they made by sorcerers or something?
smrt606 1 year ago
@proteoid True except the hooved animal part
unlockthepower 1 year ago
@unlockthepower All can be found in the book of Leviticus in the Old Testament (thats the true unedited version, before present day Christians got their hands on it and edited it to suit their own needs).
proteoid 1 year ago
@proteoid I agree with the point you were making but as far as im aware Leviticus says to eat only animals with cloven hooves that chew grass not no hooved animals. It says no shellfish, pork, reptiles, insects, birds of prey etc but allows Poultry, Beef/lamb/other grazing animals, fish (but not any and all because some filter and contain toxins) milk, honey, fruit, tubers, vegetables ands grains. Nightshade fruits are frowned about in some people's view as well.
unlockthepower 1 year ago
@proteoid thats old testament, shit changed in new testament when Jesus died.
spruceshark 8 months ago
@proteoid its not exactly feasible to stick 100% to everything in the bible. you can say you're a christian without following the bible word for word. "Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus" keep in mind when the book was written. and all of those things you pointed out have a religious context and are not just silly rules but all of the above would imply that you were deviating outside your faith IN THAT TIME PERIOD.
willbelayforfood 6 months ago
@proteoid Where in the Bible does it say you can't wear glasses or have a blemish? I'm an atheist too but I hadn't heard about those 2.

In fact, the baby raper skull fucker did god's work; that baby was an atheist.
ninjajesus81 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 The baby raping is a solely Catholic thing I think......cough
DannyMc71 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 Yet we don't....and statistics show that Christians are among the highest ranked criminals in America....
Explain that to me.
If God can forgive you for anything, where's the motivation to NOT commit crimes? As an atheist, I don't believe I am forgiven for my actions, so there is no motivation for me to commit crime.
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@Sshelly34213 Yet we don't rape babies? Of course not. A theist is a lot more likely to do that. Priests basically molest little kids for a living.
The bible tells you to do things that are considered crimes nowadays. The good people skip over that part or interpret it in a way that doesn't obligate them to do it.
The crazy people just go ahead and do it. The crazy people just have their condition exacerbated by reading the bible in the first place.
Religion should be illegal.
ninjajesus81 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 Yea. People are just empty, pathetic, and miserable searching for some way to validate their existence. So they do it with meaningless labels. Most people, at the end of the day, don't actually believe in heaven or God.
Religion is basically the same thing as nationalism, racial/cultural pride.
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@Sshelly34213 Theists, Christians especially, are mostly just like us. Most of them don't go to church and don't pray. The only difference is they say they believe in god. That's the only difference... oh, and they sin a lot more.
I think they really do believe in god and all that stuff. Most of them aren't very smart. They just know that they'll be able to beg for forgiveness before they die and all will be forgiven. That's what they've been taught.
Don't get me started on pride and nationalism
ninjajesus81 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 I know they really don't, my mother and I had a conversation one day, a very honest one. This was before I was an atheist, I said, "do you really go anywhere when you die?" My said, "No you just go to sleep"
That's what she ACTUALLY believes, no matter what sappy, altruistic thing she says in front of her guests at parties or in front of my grandmother to try and impress or please them.
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 The people that really believe this shit are weak minded or insane. Jones was a sociopath who manipulated weak minded people to believe in his rubbish. The same thing applies to Pat Robertson/Graham and all of those nut bag evangelical liars. They understand how to read people's body movements, they understand their social cues and how they work and what they mean, because all they know how to do is mimic them. Sociopaths have no ability to feel, but must pretend like they do.
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@ninjajesus81 It's not that people aren't smart, it's that they're too afraid to voice their real opinions and thoughts. So they fall into line and accept what happens.
Most people are simply followers and I believe it is an inherent part of their nature. There will never be a world full of free thinkers because nothing would ever get done if we had no one to fall in line and build a bridge or roads. Just as long as we have that, we have those leaders who will corrupt them.
Sshelly34213 1 year ago
@BornWhiteSupremacy If you ask me, it's pretty stupid to curse and condemn with words and terms that come from exactly the same belief which is being ridiculed, challenged and made fun of. Hell only exists in your sick mind, and especially the words immoral and sinful came from that same outrageous belief. Newsflash: god made this reality including the possibility for non-christian beliefs, are you saying that God condemns it's own creation? By the way your nickname is a disgrace, and I'm white.
