So went through the comments and TADA there u were so just a big thanks mate this is bringin back my childhood ^^

  • empieza rock steady y termina punk... copado el tema!

  • True this is techically ska but most people who dont know all the technicalities it would be more punk.

  • hi standard!!!!!

  • Mmmmm the baseline and guitar style do make ska, but yes, it does have to have horns.........Original ska did have horns in it.

  • @PlainAndSimpleRI OPERATION IVY

  • @PlainAndSimpleRI You know nothing about ska if you think horns are needed to make it a ska song.

  • This is NoFX

  • @clashcityrockuh sorry to burst your bubble but this is Hi-Standard. It was never on a full album, but it did make it onto several compilations. But every band on Fat Wreck Chords sounds like NOFX so it's easy to confuse.

  • @NixonAddict You're right! Thank you Wikipedia. A lot of links tell you that it's NoFX so thanks for the knowledge.

  • punk panter

  • @RaffyAndaya Came here to say that ! D:

  • SKA-P !

  • noma asi o mas chida!!!

  • 45 and on sounds more thrashy thn ska...imo

  • amo esta versión <3___<3 jeje pulgar bn arribaaa!

  • Tha hells ska? o.O

  • @torysama it's like the father of reggae. although more recently it's become related to punk quite a lot, and when lots of people say 'ska' they mean ska punk, which is just like punk rock but with different style guitars, a walking bass line and often lots of brass instruments.

  • @palkian90 Ohhh, I guess it's a new thing huh. Well hey thanks for explaining XDD

  • @torysama not really new, ska has been around since the 50s, but no problemo

  • SKA SKA SKA !!

  • I love this one, used to have it on my limewire a long ass time ago, it was labeled as a NoFX cover though. Who's is this?

  • SKA

  • fackin nice

  • sounds like megadeth at the end

  • Awesome cover by Hi-Standard!

  • ~_^

    (;

  • Ska doesn't need horns but then again I don't like most of the stereotypical third wave ska

  • check out this song cover in my channel...! it's on High Definition

  • Pretty cool. Disappointed by the lack of horns though.

  • Wheres the horns when you need them!?

  • una chimbaaaaaaaaaa

  • Wow, that was awesome!

  • forget I said anything

  • Banjo Kazooie?

    0:19 - 0:38 ??

  • @piratebeerbeard Why do little kids like you lie on YouTube pages? This is Hi-Standard's cover off of their "Angry Fist" album and that's a fact. Lagwagon has never even recorded a cover of anything related to Pink Panther so what is this rare cd you own?

  • Comment removed

  • @piratebeerbeard One more time, Lagwagon NEVER covered this song so it's impossible to have it on one of their CD's and it's seriously pathetic that you feel the need to lie on YouTube pages.

  • Comment removed

  • @laylalaylady Might be miscredited on a bootleg.

  • 1.00 little baby gotta love that

  • That's killer,good job on bass.

  • fuckin A on top of cake

  • even if it isn't NOFX, the "1,2" guy sounds like Fat Mike :L

  • @palkian90 Except that you can clearly hear the Japanese accent when he says "1, 2".

  • fat mike plays bass here

  • @ShOrtieMAC919 No...no, he doesn't.

  • adorable!

  • Yeah, Cool Stuff! .... Skank the Scum away ;-)

    Please support our Channel, too!

  • Pretty cool and I like the picture @ 00:27.

  • ska-p version

  • @antipop412 No, it's not. This is Hi-Standard's cover and you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @greatestxgift

ok, my mistake. I thought it is Ska-p's because friend of mine has it on Ska-p cd

  • @antipop412 No...your friend does not have it on a Ska-P CD because they never covered it. Why do you feel the need to lie on YouTube pages?

  • @greatestxgift

Maybe I've should tell it's cd isn't orginal. But it's ridiculous how you blame me, despite my apologies. FY

  • nice

  • I dont know if the japanese punk band had this song first , but I have it On a MR. BUNGLE cd....

  • @olivetorture2 You don't have it on Mr. Bungle CD because they never recorded it and that's a fact. This is Hi-Standard's cover. Someone uploaded this song wrongly as Mr. Bungle and little kids like you who downloaded it think it's them. Why would you lie about having this song on a Mr. Bungle CD?

  • i love it!

  • punk panther

  • stanowczo za krótkie !!! :D

  • tool gefall mir / es ist am klugsten

  • Haha,this is great!

  • Thats cool love it

  • Who's the band doing this covers?

  • @DimitrijeRockFan

    Hi-Standard

  • love hi-standard

  • This would have been amazing if leftover crack/choking victim did this

(not saying this isnt good but would have made my day haha)

  • 51 stupid guys .. :D

  • Haha, this is fucking amazing.

  • More of a punk-ska version. I kept waiting for the squealing horn section to come in; that would've MADE this.

  • @johnmiles Ska is...punk.

  • @Clearycolin3011 No, it's not.

  • @Clearycolin3011 You have to be an ignorant moron to think ska is punk.

  • @DonStirFrye I've been to my fair share of shows to know the differences and similarities. Ska is punk.

  • @DonStirFrye Not saying they are the same. But ska is a sub genre of punk

  • @Clearycolin3011 That might be one of the most clueless and stupid comments I've ever seen (maybe even more idiotic than "ska is punk"). Ska was around several years before Punk was even a genre so how can it be a sub genre of it? With each reply, you're exposing yourself as even more of a moron.

  • @DonStirFrye You could simple just point out why they were wrong instead of calling them an idiot for it.

    A.k.a. don't be a dick.

  • @Clearycolin3011 Ska ( /ˈskɑː/, Jamaican [skja]) is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s, and was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae.[

  • @johnmiles Well, it does explicitly say "Punk Covers" as the first two words, stop complaining

  • This isn't ska... its more like heavy metal

  • @Ansemmanga No it isn't!

  • @Andyholt1980 Just hear from 0:45 to 1:00. It's a fucking metal riff, men. No ska at all.

  • yes its a ska rock pink panther track,,,,,wiff a wee bit punky 2,,,nae bad

  • This isnt ska. This is shit.

  • I love the end so funny

  • the pink punker

  • Arthritis Anyone ?_?

  • Ska music doesn't have to have horns to be considered ska, although most ska bands do have horns. Ska is characterized by the guitar style and walking bass line.

  • @mazzler77 Exactly. Almost 3rd wave ska bands have horns.

  • @mazzler77 and off beat on bass drum!!! lot of so called bands have in fact punk drummers keeping the heavy first...

  • 1st time i have heard this. pure class

  • @sotefb If you actually listened to Hi-Standard, you'd know that they aren't ska influenced at all. You are truly a fucking ignorant idiot.

  • Band: Hi-Standar (Japan)

    Album: Angry Fist

    Year: 1997

    check in goggle

  • @ivnpnkdlx wtf?

  • This is a mr bungle cover

  • bad manners

  • Sickest versio. Ever

  • LOL!

  • sickkkkk!!

  • 0:45 .... \m/

  • lol

  • but fat mike does sing in some of the other bands albums especially since they are signed by fat wreck chords

  • This is great, haha

  • it mgiht not be NOFX but the guy saying 1-2 sounds a lot like fat mike

  • Thats the good version....at 0:19 ONE TWO thats sounds good

  • where is the saxophone????

  • @TheJota32 i dont think there is a sax obviously its a bass

  • hermoza bateria!!!!!! que suenen esos tambores!!!!!

  • the song is the HI standar

  • passt ja zu meinem namen xD

  • great bass

  • the punk panther

  • The part when he screams sounds like Anthrax

  • Fuck Ska!! but this is good

  • thats Hi-Standard from Japan =)

  • This isn't even Ska. It's punk with a ska-like riff. To be classified as ska you have to have a horn.

  • @MsSeaKittens or trumpet, for that matter

  • @MsSeaKittens You don't need a horn to make something Ska. If that were the case, what would you class Sublime or Skaville UK, or half of the material by the Specials (the founding fathers of two-tone)?

  • WAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! AWESOME!

  • This is punk. Not ska.

  • @ZLUGGO its ska two tone

  • @r0drig0mbia

    Not in my book, pal.

  • @r0drig0mbia it certainly isn't two-tone ska! Its like a lot of punk around the 3rd-wave of ska era (early 90's onwards) that is tinged with ska

  • SKA PUINK!!!

  • Just to agree with cainedbutable...this IS not Less Than Jake or any other more HEARD of band. It is Hi-Standard...another great album by them: Growing Up. How do I know this? Because I am old. They've been around since at least 1990.

  • JUst to put you all straight, this isn't LTJ or NOFX, its Japanese punk band Hi-Standard. How do I know? I have the album - Angry Fist - on which it is a bonus track. I hope that clears up your debate :-)

  • @cainedbutable thats wicked I didn't know they were japanese XD

    what a fucking tune!!!

  • @cainedbutable thank you ive always wondered who did this cover

  • @jimbeo my pleasure mate. Its always nice to find out you're useful for something!

  • @cainedbutable thx, gonna get the album =P

  • @cainedbutable ahh yes, i have heard their cover of California Dreamin, very nice

  • @cainedbutable i should have known that only the asians could have enough skill and speed to play that. fucking japs, why are they so good at everything

  • @cainedbutable My version says it's by The Skatalites.

  • @ImAWaffleSauce i can guarantee you it is 100% not the Skatalites. They're a 60's trad ska band, not a punk band ;-)

  • @ImAWaffleSauce This clearly NOT the Skatalites. They're not a third-wave ska band.

  • @cainedbutable

glad someone knows what they are talking about. had an opportunity to see those crazy japs with NOFX many years ago. awesome show!
