I think all nuclear technology should be illegal. The radioactive byproducts are unbelievably toxic to biological life and remain so for extremely long periods. The human health implications are far to serious to ignore.
The costs of nuclear energy are still being exsadurated to this day. With all the new technologies nuclear energy is a very foolish path. In Canada here we have some massive wind power projects that are in the millions of dollars. I was increadibly pleased to find out these projects only take 7-9 months to completely pay for the construction costs in full. So any expantion of neuclear energy is about as foolish as it gets.
It's a moral choice... exactly! Technology for technology's sake is no good, nor is technology for profits sake either. Technology has to take a shape with the essential purpose to be a benefit mankind or else it's application will be corrupted.
