It should be remembered that the paternal aunt of Shimr, Umm Banin bint Kharam, was the wife of Hazrat Ali (Karramallahu taala wajhah) and whose off-springs were Abbas, Abdullah, Jafar, and Uthman and all the four brothers were accompanying Imam Husain in this encounter. Thus Shimr was the paternal cousin of all the four brothers and also of Imam Husain (radiyallahu anh).

The quran, which is Allah's (swt) holy words, declare the term "shia" to label followers of his faith. Here is one, of many, places where it is listed in the quran:
"And most surely Abraham was among the Shia of him (i.e., Noah)" (Quran 37:83)
When Maula Hussain (as) went to defend Islam, why would Allah's (pbuh) follower kill him? Your statement clearly contradicts the quran.
