@fishermankory actually they are great and am telling u for a fact your etect doesn't get better mileage than a 4 stroke yammi and the 350 yammis isn't racing engines there for heavier boats
@KENDALLGROUP no it wont i 2 strokes are for power and speed and until they make four stroke that can out preform a 2 stroke i would want a 4 stroke but they should make a 350 2 stroke

@gladheateher4now will it depends on you if u want fuel economy and reliability go for yamahas if u want power speed and less weight merc also since your boat is a 36 i would go mers personally because i like power and speed and dont really care about fuel but if your boat was a 40 go for Yamaha

Yamaha has its place in the marine industry no doubt-but in race and speed domination they'll never surpass MERCS. The Verado SCi 350 at least has future technology and word on the street that they had those suckers put'n out 500h.p?! Merc will push out somethan harder, these pigs will be phased out.

Big 4 strokes are useful in aeroplanes (constellation/stratocruiser), boat in Hobart called the Wild Thing with 3 Suzuki 300HP v6 4 strokes, I think its the lame thing. The ETCO boats in WW2 with 3 big V12 Packards did 45 Knots @ 65 Tonnes/4000 HP. This thing @ 5 Tonnes/900HP struggles to match.
Man they look close together!!Smooth and quiet for over 1000 hp.....

@fishermankory same my 115 hp evinrude ficht from 03' gets better gas economy than a four stroke....and it only costs me 20-25 bucks to winterize it.

E Tec's are decade old technologie four stroke will out last and use less fuel.
