Guys, it's not just Vortex and Mustis. Even before Spiritual Black Dimensions (when Mustis and Vortex first stepped in,) Dimmu Borgir (Shagrath and Silenoz) made a very epic-sounding act which combined Black Metal with something somewhat different and more melodic. That is the Dimmu we like, and Mustis and Vortex, though not crucial, did add a lot of very nice flavouring to the established band. Abrahadabra just seems to abandon even the most basic of styles which made Dimmu who they are.

I just listened to the album and to be honest it was a huge disappointment. Transfusion of new blood, entering the supreme unknown, primal, epic - right. One good song that is released a month before the whole album. Boring album and i'm going to tell you why: Mid-tempo all the way. - Having a 101 person orchestra doesn't make music sound good. the songwriting is the worst they've ever done. I never really thought they could write anything worse than In Sorte Diaboli, but hey, i was wrong.

I loved In Sorte Diaboli. Its was different, interesting. As well as enjoying all of there other albums. Metal heads constantly call themselves so "open minded" when there probably the worst. Music is an art form. Let the artists do the work. Critics are pathetic. I want all you so called "enlightened" critics to go out and try to even reach a fraction of there success. I like them because of there music. This isnt a fashion show, so the look is a bonus.
