@nmt1969 I don't want to get into this argument, but the greek people denigrated the macedonians and saw them somewhat similar to "half-greeks". They didn't have the real 'polis' and had weird dialect. Some like Aeschines liked them, others like Demosthenes hated them. Many greeks fought against the macedonian invasion under Philipos II. But they did the same thing against Athens and Sparta ofcourse. Macedonians themselves considered them as Greeks.
