To those hating on SWR, thats not what the Sublime vibe was ever about- Bradley loved dope music and I am positive he's happy in heaven right now seeing the impact that he left not only on an entire generation of people, but the music as it is today. SWR will never replace Sublime with Bradley, that is undeniable, Bradley's heart and soul that he poured into his music is impossible to emulate, but its nice to see the Sublime stylee back in swing.

Not to mention sublime did more covers than original songs of there own. Brads name wasnt sublime THE three of them were called sublime, brad killed himself being a stupid drug addict and now 2/3ds of the original members remain so i think they deserve the rights to that name. I just read something that pissed me off. Bradley did not want any other band to use the name Sublime without his being a part of or consent of said project. He went so far as to register the SUBLIME trademark under his name. So my question is why does Eric and bud still use the name Sublime? Wouldn't they want the legend of Bradley Nowell and Sublime to be forever protected? I uderstand they all a hand it the creation of the band but its the emotion in those lyrics that MADE Sublime.

@alerabnhoj the band name isn't "sublime". it's "sublime with rome". legal loophole and it's been approved by the courts...besides i think brad TM it in case the band broke up for some reason, not in case HE himself died. besides with the way things played out, i think brad would be ok with this, i think he'd want his fans to get as close to his music for as long as they can.....and it's not like eric and bud rushed into this decsion, it's been 14 years....

Looks like a judge just ruled in favor of the Nowell Estate for now. Eric, Bud and Rome will have to think up a new name and I say good riddance. Can't wait to see them playing together again, but I wasn't a fan of re-using the name.
I saw sublime in a garage years ago and this guy brings back the funk in a way that represents and respects Bradley. That's all that matters and I think Bradley is smiling down on everyone now that he's back!!!!

Everyone needs to chill out over this brad shit, if he was so concerned about his band he wouldnt have overdosed himself on drugs. Not to mention sublime did more covers than original songs of there own. Brads name wasnt sublime THE three of them were called sublime, brad killed himself being a stupid drug addict and now 2/3ds of the original members remain so i think they deserve the rights to that name. Rome is sick, i like brad but hes one of the most over rated musicians of all time.

I just read something that pissed me off. Bradley did not want any other band to use the name Sublime without his being a part of or consent of said project. He went so far as to register the SUBLIME trademark under his name. So my question is why does Eric and bud still use the name Sublime? Wouldn't they want the legend of Bradley Nowell and Sublime to be forever protected? I uderstand they all a hand it the creation of the band but its the emotion in those lyrics that MADE Sublime.

@alerabnhoj the band name isn't "sublime". it's "sublime with rome". legal loophole and it's been approved by the courts...besides i think brad TM it in case the band broke up for some reason, not in case HE himself died. besides with the way things played out, i think brad would be ok with this, i think he'd want his fans to get as close to his music for as long as they can.....and it's not like eric and bud rushed into this decsion, it's been 14 years....

Why's everyone hating on VaperBroz? It is true that Brad said he didn't want Sublime to go on without him. And before Sublime started getting a little recognition they had a drummer named Kelly Vargas while Bud was absent and he kicked Kelly out because he said he felt that Sublime should really just be Eric, Bud and himself. Brad even put the trademark Sublime under his own name because he didn't want Sublime to go on if it didn't include him, Bud or Eric. Which is why they are now SublimewRome

with bud and eric, calling it sublime is ok. this kid does justice to bradley's voice and style. if you notice, he even throws in the little things you hear bradley do on the live albums and alternate versions of the different songs. hes a good tribute and i think its fine that hes part of a reunited sublime. BUT he DOES NOT have the genius of bradley and thus can never put out a new album and call it a sublime album, even though id be interested enough to pick it up under a different name.

This sucks, it's not the same, and they better not be calling it sublime, Brads Baby's Mama said HELLLL NO, so they won't be calling it SUBLIME anymore.... and thats important! It would be like Nirvana reuniting, or the Jimi Hendrix Experience reuiting without Jimmi, or the Doors without Morrison, thats all just as propsterous as Sublime without Brad. It would have made a lot more sense to call it Long Beach Dub All Stars, and bring all those people from LBDA and Rome (who I don't like).

Looks like a judge just ruled in favor of the Nowell Estate for now. Eric, Bud and Rome will have to think up a new name and I say good riddance. Can't wait to see them playing together again, but I wasn't a fan of re-using the name.

He does good in some songs, but to be completely honest.. it's just not the same.. i mean i like the guy, he's cool and sounds similar but it's just not the same as Brad's presence and amazing voice. We all love sublime, but I think Sublime Died with Brad unfortunately. You just can't replace the sound of the entire band w/brad, they gave off the vibe that no other band did before. I give the whole band (including rome) complete respect for doing a reunion show in brad's memory. good job tho.

They used the words Crazy Fool in this song but there is a song that was originally called Crazy Fool and they changed the named to Foolish Fool. & it sounds nothing like this song .Sublime used some of the same words/phases in alot of different songs.

And if you have listened to everything under the sun or contact the buzz live at the house of blues, well there is foolish fool. Both very early recordings of get ready. Bass, drums and guitar almost the exact same. Brad just realized the lyrics were weak so he re-wrote the whole song and kept the crazy fool part. Give all three songs a listen and you'll agree

I think we are in agreeance that get ready and foolish/crazy fool is the same song, little different lyrics in some versions, named differently on the actual album covers.
