  • so much "YEAH" 15 times in this clip at the least.

  • Go Bears!

  • It's amazing how many people here in North America think uncut ones are strange....I mean this clip is funny....but yeah, maybe I have unusual taste around here because I actually prefer uncut ones. So I think it's hot that he's uncut, not strange. Glad my b/f is uncut too(and funny enough, is also a smaller guy, actually slightly shorter than me - I'm 5'8" and he's like 5'6"-5'7"...people sometimes find it weird that he's shorter than me). My taste in guys doesn't really follow the norm.

  • subconciously smoking marlboro's , oh yeah that can happen

  • what's this "Romney rolling" crap in front of every video?!! It's driving me up the wall!!

  • I lived in Chaska for 2 years, and now I live by Normandale. Nobody I know here talks like this, but there are DEFINITELY people who come close.

  • One of those girls playing the hooker was the actual dialect coach for the film! I don't know which one though. Funny that she got a scene where the focus was really on the way they were speaking!

  • It's funny how the funny looking hooker is the one sleeping with the funny looking little fella.

  • This isn't making me a proud midwesterner :P

  • They sound like Canadians that live out in the country in Manitoba

  • go bears

  • thumbs up if you thought people in fargo actually talked like this untill you looked it up on youtube

  • @bizonmaciej Hooker on the left actually does speak that way. The accent is called "Minnesota Nice" and she coached the lead actress on how to correctly speak that way.

  • The only modern (2003-2011) Simpsons episode I've seen that was as good as the mid-90s stuff had Margie in it. Girls Just Want To Have Sums I think it was called.

  • @eviemags16 I can't speak for Northern Minesota, but I have heard this kind of accent in Upstate Wisconsin and Michigan. ESPECIALLY Wisconsin.

  • @archer1949 I've got relatives in northwestern Wisconsin, and I was thinking the exact same thing

  • Funny stuff. those two girls playing the hookers are actaully local girls who were just in the movie. Not professional actors.

  • The way Frances McDormand pronounces the word 'specific' sounds sooooo sexy.

  • 'the sewer" ... go Bears

  • Yeaaahhh!!!

  • pretttttty sure we dont even talk like this.

    you sure?

    YOU BETCHA!

  • Mute is a great thing with these advertisements.

  • Always wanted to fuck them so bad.

  • aye i live near white bear. and the bears went to state this year

  • Where do people actually talk like this. So I can avoid it and never go within 100 miles of it.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan I would love to live amongst these people.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan

I can promise you that we don't actually talk like that in Fargo.

  • @Shashina I wish you could promise me people dont actually talk like that at all.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan

    I'm sorry but I cannot.

  • @Shashina Sad face.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan

    Sad face indeed.

  • @Shashina I just realised the idiots that actually talk like this probably think us normal people sound like morons... LOL!

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan WE DO!

  • @publicatdamagnificen You're banned from traveling. You might spread your disease.

  • @BrahnTheHandyMan LOL, That's a good comeback Brahn!

  • @publicatdamagnificen It wasn't a comeback. Also don't talk to me like you know me.

  • I bought this movie just for frances' mcdonald character!

    'Oh you betcha, yeaa.'

  • One of my favorite bits of trivia is that Hooker #1 ("Funny lookin'... more than most people, even") acted as Frances McDormand's dialect coach.

  • "oh yah?"

    "yah."

  • Go Bears!

  • I don't allow not circumcised man into my kitty.

  • @magokiki Why are you jewish? lol wtf kind of coment is that on youtube. I would expect that from a porn site or something...

  • Go Bears. xD

  • Those two hookers are funny-lookin', yeah.

  • i like how the coen brothers pretty much insult steve buscemi for how he is and steve just takes it like a professional. hes one of my favorite actors

  • Oh yeah?

  • I don't know if there are any people in the US that talk like this, but it's adorable to me either way.

  • @UofLCardFan08 there are people in the US that talk like this. There's a lot of different accents.

  • The hookers are sisters of Sarah Palin.

  • this is not a real fargo accent..

  • @evamusicbomb the movie doesnt take place in fargo you fat fucking tool

  • lol your cute :)

  • @evamusicbomb this part isn't set in Fargo. It's set in Brainerd

  • 1:04-1:14 nice

  • GO BEARS!

  • LOVE Frances McDormand - ah ya bet ya, yeah <3

  • All this time I thought the 1st girl said "Shasta" and the other said "the sewer"

When they really said "Chaska" and "Le Sueur" (which is still a fairly unfortunate sounding name for a town)

  • @FilmsBooksandGames Not at all, I've actually taken classes at Normandale.

  • yah? oh yah yah uh huh yah. lol

  • I love the woman on the left's reaction to when the other says "go bears."

  • @zephranna01 yyeeeee-aaaaah! youuuu betchaaaah

  • @zephranna01 Whatever Zacharia! The chick in blue is heffed and the other one is really fat. It is funny and they are real funny look-in' you bectha yaaaaa

  • @zephranna01 May i suggest an opthamologist, or at least some Visine for you? : (

  • @zephranna01 May i suggest an opthamologist, or at least some Visine for you? : (

  • Comment removed

  • @zephranna01 Bleugh! Which one are you seeing? The woman on ANOTHER video clip?

  • ....go bears..

  • Thick as two short planks

  • Hooker 2: He looked like the marlboro man.

    Marge: (Amazed) Oh yeah?

Hooker 2: Yeah. But maybe I'm saying that because he smoked a lot of marlboro.

    Marge: Aha.

Hooker 2: You know like subconscious kind of thing.

Marge: Oh yeah. That could happen.

HILARIOUS. I love how the hookers deliver one of the best scene, yet they are so useless.

  • oh you betcha, yaaaa. YAAA!!!!!!

  • @ktm5194 Don't forget the head-bobs in unison :-D

  • ahaha chaska.

  • LOL, I love this part of the movie :-)

  • I live in SW Minnesota and they took one little part of the accent some people have in Minnesota/North Dakota and over-killed it in this movie. I am also just north of the area that is considered to have the "General American Accent" - which is considered the most correct form of english.

  • @chuckzamzow the most correct form of English is the form spoken by the people in England.

  • @snowstormcan - Are you telling a bunch pork-pies and a bag of trout? Because if you are feeling quigly, why not just have a J. Arthur?

  • @snowstormcan Yeah, 'cause everyone in England speaks exactly alike.

  • @snowstormcan Hence why it is called 'English'

  • @limbdarkening tell that to chuckzamzow, champ.

  • Go Bears!

  • The acting is wonderful.

  • But... Swedish chicks use to be very beautiful?

  • @Stroheim333 The accents are French-Canadian.

  • @drifterdaydreamer I see you know nothing about the movie. But it is intended to show an environment with swedish descendents, in northern US. There because very many people in this movie are blonde and have swedish names.

  • @Stroheim333 You're right, I know little about the movie. I asked a co-worker why people in Northern Minnesota have accents and that is what she told me. I know people from Canada can have French-Canadian accent, and I some of them migrated south. Now knowing you are from Sweden, you would know the accent far better than me. Furthermore, I didn't notice they had Swedish names. That would of made a lot of difference.

  • @drifterdaydreamer Thanx, a very nice answer of the kind one seldom get on the net :) This "jaa" the caracters in the movie say all the time, is Swedish (and Scandinavian) for "yes". I think it is not very distinct for american viewers, because so many american names are derived from scandinavian languages, bur names as Lundegard, Grimsrud, Gunderson and Gustafson are common Sweden.

  • @Stroheim333 ya, ya, I know, you betcha,

    my name is Gunnar,

    Swedish name,

    Estonian mum,

Cohen Bro's lover, saw all of their flicks, each one of them different, never repeat themselves, that's on of their huge qualities,

The Dude is my role model, No Country made me cringe, but the ending was as unexpected as peaceful...

  • The chick on the right plays barbera gean on Reba

  • YA

    YA?

    YA!

    YAAAA

  • The little guy, he was kinda funny lookin'

So, you were havin' sex with the little guy...

    LOL!

  • the hooker in the right is kinda cute

  • AN AMERICAN CLASSIC...ive seen this movie many many many times and always find it as great as the first time....

  • Drink every time they say "Yeah" It will be a miracle if you survive

  • Its a movie, not a documentary on the local dialect.

  • @rothburyvezzy you DONT SAY?!

  • there accents are horrible! omg lol jkjk

  • F the Bears... Go Pioneers!!!

  • @nschuel I actually live in White Bear and I must say, there aren't many people that talk like that around here anymore but if you head a little farther north, I know quite a few people whose accents are about 100x stronger then all of the people in this movie combined. Back in the day, people down here in the cities used to talk like that too but then outta state people moved into the cities and the accent became watered down quite a bit. But the thick accent still exsists in the north Trust me

  • @HolyPokenerd I live in NorthWest Florida. We white people here sound just like people from Southern GA, or AL. But if you go below Gainesville, FL.......headed toward Miami, you would swear you were in Michigan or Manhattan or the Bronx depending on the neighborhood.

  • i dont know about this movie. mabey because it was so hyped before i watched it but i just wasnt over impressed. the main thing was the accents. i think they took it over board. i have cousin that actually live in chaska. and they dont talk anything like this. actually no one in minnesota or north dakota ive ever met has near this strong of accent. that part of the movie just drove me nuts, and it never lets up.

  • Go bears bitch could get it!!! She would be screaming oh yeah!!!!!

  • you betcha, yeah!

  • Oh ya?

  • Part of me was expecing a "yeah" counter to pop up in the corner of the screen

  • Screw the bears. Go ponies!

  • @HouseFantastic

Screw the bears and the ponies... The Pioneers are where it's at!

  • Omg...the girl in the pink/white shirt is Melissa Peterman from REBA

  • YAAAAAAAAAHH

  • I'm ashamed to say that I'd probably bang the better looking one out of the two...Go Bears.

  • he wasnt circumsized----hahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @EMCEMITCH Ain't nothin' wrong with that! it's natural!

  • @EMCEMITCH

cause he was intact :) : tlctugger . com wholenetwork . org

  • "He looked like the Marlboro Man" Classic

  • Those two girls are great actors!

  • @634devil They really are. Completely authentic, and quite believably stupid.

  • Go bears!

  • Normandale is my college

  • Minnesota Nice is the only way to talk.

  • omg i live in mahtomedi where this bar is located!

  • oh jah! the burs!

  • "Was he funny looking apart from that?" What a great line!

  • I live in MN as well. I have a bit of an accent (usually people only notice when I pronounce words with long "o's" in them), but Fargo is way exaggerated. I've met a few older people in rural areas who talk like that, but for the most part (and especially amongst younger people or in Minneapolis or St Paul) the accent is pretty mild.

    It's a hilarious film, though.

  • @jcarish they tried to make us look like a bunch of hiks

  • I'm glad I'm circumcised. In America, it's the law.

  • @DOCTORDANification - You betcha!

  • YAH.

  • @Didymosrules JA.

  • wow the accent is just canadian lol

  • stereotypes, well i can tell you the reason why they speak so funny in Fargo due to old Scandinavian impact. Its sounds funny but I ve been to a lot of countries in Europe must say Scandinavians are some of the most prosperies and most modern countries inEurope. Besidesthey have absolutely the most good looking women you can see.

  • Oh Yeah? Yeah.

  • Steve Buscemi is kinda funny lookin', more than most people even.

  • of COURSE the hookers went to white bear lake. no surprise there,

  • They say "YAAH" 9 times in 10 seconds.....nice.

  • OH YAH

  • yah.

  • Yes, the hooker is from Chaska...wonderful to know what kind of women Carver County turns out...

  • Yes, the hooker is from Chaska. Wonderful to know what kind of people come from Carver County...

  • hahaha .... normandale.

  • Lol, Swedes.

  • these accents are way over exaggerated, especially someone from leseur

  • La Sueur and White Bear Lake are like two hours away from each other... lol.

  • their accent is funny. "he wasn't circumcised." lol.

  • Very well played, by all 3 of them!

  • what the hell is this a comedy or something? pretty sure i've lived in MN all my life and only heard like 2 people that have talked like this. what is this movie even about? i lack the time (and after that clip) the interest to even download it....Dont'cha know. haha now i feel like a douche

  • @MrShadowm11 i feel bad for you. But, Coen brother movies usually are very hard to categorize and cross genres all the time. I think fargo is a half dark comedy half crime movie. Do yourself a favor and just watch it instead of trying to pindown what genre it is.

  • @MrShadowm11 I've lived in Minnesota and rarely hear anyone with that thick of an accent. VERY RARELY. But it's all in jest I think, exaggeration.

  • @Illumirage It's just Hollywood stereotypes. I'm from Oklahoma City and I like to go to Southern California once a year. When people ask me where I'm from, they're always shocked when I say Oklahoma because they expect me to have 3 front teeth missing and say "Yall's food sure taste good round here!"

Anytime I watch tv and there's someone from OK, they're always cowboys and rednecks who constantly make tornado metaphors.

"That truck was movin faster than an Oklahoma tornader! Uh hyuh Uh hyuh"

  • @StuUngar Well.....good point. What else can I say?

  • @StuUngar Bullshit. the coen brothers are from Minnesota. and the stereotypes you repeatedly see should be an indication to watch better films.

  • @francoisXIV Not just films. Watch The Biggest Loser or Amazing Race. The people on there from OK are stereotypes.

If people who are from Oklahoma don't fit the perceived stereotype, their homestate is simply never mentioned. Brad Pitt, Bill Goldberg, Gary Busey and James Mardsen's home state is never mentioned bc they don't fit the image of an Oklahoman.

Toby Keith, Jim Ross, Garth Brooks, & Reba McIntyre are immediately labaled Okies

  • @StuUngar Brad Pitt is from Springfield, Missouri not Oklahoma.

  • @StuUngar LOL Ive been to OK and mostly what I saw were rednecks, churches and there were quite a few people with horrendous teeth lol

  • it's amazing what margie had to put up with

  • This movie is funny as fuck

  • The little guy was kinda funny-lookin'

  • go bears

  • McDormand totally earned her Oscar for this. Love this film. I also love the fact that the hooker on the right is Melissa Peterman, who later became "Barbra Jean" on Reba.

  • @laurieheartsdcx haha I just found out about that today was watching some singing bee... hahah I loved her as barbara Jean

  • this scene is hilarious. i love this movie.

  • Oh ja ja ja ja ja ja ja ja ja ja.

    Did I mention ja?

  • I deal with Americans from all over and every time I talk with people from North Dakota , Minnesota and such I always think of this movie- some of the nicest and easy going Americans of all.

  • i love Frances McDormand she is soo funny :L

  • Fargo is a great film. You haven't seen a lot of movies then.

  • @playahata113 i live next to fargo and noooo one i know talks like that!! thats just bull shit!

  • @johnathonmelby

I know. I live in Minnesota, and people don't talk like this.

  • Hahaha dropped out of Normandale, that is uber hilarious

  • I would fuck the Blonde one on the right silly. Yah...

  • yah.

  • Oh yeah? Yeah!

  • ..go bears..

LMAO!!!! looovvee this movie hahahaha <3

  • ugly hoes

  • I'd fuck the blonde, i bet she got a big booty.

  • The one on the left is freaky looking.

  • Poor Buscemi.
