SideChain a Bassline in Logic Pro 9

So once you select the buss 10 from compresser, the sidechain is activated itself. Is it correct?

Hey Apple2011, thanks for this very useful tutorial. I'm only not sure about how much to send to the BUS (I'm very new to BUSses and stuff): when I send everything (6.0db), then the kick gets much louder than it should be. So how much should I send?

@DancingTortoYse The way I do it is to turn the bus to a point where I'm happy with how the kick and bass play along nice. Hope this helps you out. :) Let me know if you have more questions.

i agree with u but u make a stupid error on the sidechain compressor and he don't sound very very cool. i use the sidechain compression on my trance tracks and house progressive because sounds very pumpy and i use it more with pads and bass & always when u try to create a great sound look in your compressor and choose Peak not RMS,give a little attack to your sound,compressor threshold must be positive and give some relsea,don't touch knee and ratio must be 4:1:1 to 12:0:1 u choose how u want it

@mazza333 - Hi thanks for checking out my video. There is a tab in Logic Studio 9 at the bottom that is called piano roll just click on it an it will open. Hope that helps.
