First online game was a little gem called Ultima Online, where I PVP'd anything and everything with my uber axe warrior. Needless to say, I was undefeated!!!!
d2 was my first online game to. and i was clueless at the beginning. i ended up with pala with zeal. it was so so i did nm alone but nothing more. but damn thats many years ago
first experience was with diablo 1 dial-up modem. some higher lv. up dropped some loot to help me out and i was all excited thinking i could rock some cool armor. only to realize i couldn't wear bcus i was too under lv'd. spent all night grinding just to wear some digital armor. soooo worth it.

My frozen orb sorc, not l33t geared by any means but I thought it was at the time (like occy tal's shako). and some dude was like HEY BRO WANT SOME MAP HACK? and I was like, aight. So I clicked this link... and it pulled up my wow and started dropping my items from my character, and I couldn't leave game

if your playing druid i find for sumin get to wolverine and max that then both kinds of wolfs 2 times eatch then max the bear is good alsobear form then hunger is a great mix just what i think is good for that guy
my first fail was i was on deablo and i tryd a necro.and i kept dieing for some reson it wasint till later when i made a new guy that i had almost all my points in magic and evin thaw the spells are great i killd the guy and made a druid after a few more fails i made my druid i have now.i battild with him in normal as a levil 29 guy and i was at act 5 bail and was like-i cant kill him now can i?- well i got to levil 31 and killd him dead so easyly.
MY biggest fail is a .... lvl 67 necro summoner (first char) with a two handed sword like 100-200 dmg .. and i had 600-800 total damage and i was like YEAH IM GONNA OWN THE HELL ACT 2 !! and finally ive been hacked by a /dnd thing into channels ... ahaha i was soooo upset :O like NOOO MY POWERFUL 600-800 necro with 40 skeletons :)

LOL you are hillarious ^^,and hell yeah druid was my favourite on diablo 2. I had to be about 12/13 when I started playing. And I know the skills.. you could fuck them up so badly! I remember my champ was a druid and I ended up maxing his wherewolf and hurricane. But you couldn't use them at the same time so it was completely shit.
@NewbVeronica lol if you say so ;p... hurricane druid was the strongest way to play him though. So I was doing something right! I just wasted half of my skills in the shapeshift tree not to mention my stats -_-' But that game omg, it was so broken and so many hours I put into it ! I remember having to remake all my hero's because I fucked up their stats and skill tree's. And remaking them was the ONLY way to fix that. And don't get me started on the items I lost due to disconnects!
Apparently I do good with any kind of game I play ranging from FPS(first person shooter) to like MMORPG or strategy. Even if its first time playing, I somehow do good not good like some others but I don't fail.
My first fail on an online game would have to be when WoW first came out. I played Horde for like a couple months and was playing on a PvP server. I ended up making an Alliance toon for shits and giggles. As I was walking around, I saw a level 60 NE and freaked unholy hell out! I ended up looking like a dumb ass on the Local Defense channel. ;D
Hahaha. That's awesome. My first online game was EQ. I was 13'ish and having a super rough time understanding the game. In EQ, monsters didn't de-aggro, they chased you until you died or you "zoned" out. A mage took mercy and showed me the ropes. After he powered leveled me a bit, we went to some low level desert. Unfortunately, there were roaming super high level Specters. I think I aggro'd the entire zone. I ran to the docks for help, but everyone ran and screamed TRAIN. We all died.
@FoxtrotMikeLimaXD this can happen in ff11 too. it got fixed later because sometimes high lvs would 'train' a zone on purpose to kill all the low lvls who would zone in.
@NewbVeronica Lol, I'm all too familiar. I def remember trying to run to some town to get Chocobos and shop at a better auction. About 12 of us decided we would make a mad dash for it. We could make it in a group right? Sort of... I think we arrived with 6 or 7. Ahh... Good times. I'm sensing a theme here. Anyway, keep it up. I'm surprised you played FF11. I gave it a try, but the grinding was rough and communication/parties/combos were hard (although the Japanese phrase tool was nice).
My first assassin was similar... Was a single player char. Got to about lvl 43 but then after that i got stuck on act 3 NM. Reason being that i had 1 skill point in every skill possible. And adding to that the fact that i was about 12 at the time and really sucked at the game - well any game to be honest - so i simply could not advance any further. Makes me proud :P
Oh memories, haha, I couldn't stop grinning listening to those stories. One of my first "fails" was in Diablo 2: I poured points into Fist of the Heavens on my Paladin when I only played PvM, and this was before synergies and patches actually made FoH any good.
I figured because it was a level 30 skill it must be good, right? When it didn't work out it must be because I only had a couple of points in it.
I ended up unable to kill anything... I gave up on him when I met my first light immune lol

I started with a druid too. It was funny doing bloody foothill runs with others and people would rush in and kill you. Good times. I hope they re-implement the hostility feature in d3. The arenas just wont cut it. Thanks for sharing your vid :) Funny how you wanted to go back and get revenge LOL.
Diablo 2 was also my first online game :D I remember joining a server and my friend then came over to ask in what server I was, because if we used the phone the 56K modem would disconnect. Good times.
I played this game at about 10/11 as well. My father got me into it, I've played almost every type of character. I then moved on to starcraft, and eventually progressed to WOW. :p
um lets see the first games online for me was rainbow 6 vagas 2 and its a shooter when i got xbox live for the first time my friend was like dude we should play online with each other so i did he ended up setting the game. i was so boasted to play didnt realize he set the game to private. since he played it longer and was alot better, the k/d for me was 2/91, and his was 91/2 lol
yea the patch made it so barbs Ww is affected by weapon speed so if you used anything but something that was very fast with 40ias mod on it was complete garbage

I fell for the soj ring switch con in the trade screen. I lost Frostburns, which were the best gloves in those pre-LoD days. It's funny b/c now, people won't even pick up frosties.

I think my first online game fail was on diablo 1. Someone showed me how to dupe skill books or any item by dropping them on the floor and while picking it up; if I were to pick up a hp or mana potion, then the potion would turn into the item itself. The original item would go in my inventory while my potion would turn into the exact duplicate of the original item.
in lineage II when I was lvl 20 aprox, I had worked my ass off for a sword that cost a lot of money for my lvl (x1 server btw).A few days after having bought the sword, I had to sell it because I as broke. So I offered it to this guy, who told me his trade function was bugged and made me go outside of town(both in party and whoever picks up drop in random mode) so he said "ill drop the adena and you the weapon" I dropped it and i picked it up again because he didn't move.He got the sword.Pk'd me

mine was diablo 2 as well. it was duringone of the first d2 ladder seasons and i had all of the best gear for my necro... silks sojs, +2 rare amulet right when they were released, my bad ass wormskull, lances were first released and there was this lance that ws insane good. dual leech +skills, +str, it was worth about 20 sojs. i traded everything i owned for a pike that looked like that lance because the fucker switched his shit in the trade.... this was before when you had to wait to trade.
Thats pretty lol xD i cant recall any big fails on my first game but i did get like Scammed for my first rare item on Ragnarok online i suck at trades and there were alot of untrust worthy people i was trying to sell this item and it just so happened that one guy wanted to trade his item for mine (item A) his Item B and then another guy (Item C which was what i wanted) so i was going to trade Item A for B than B for C but i only got B and seller of C Ran off they were working together >.>
My first big failure was getting trade scammed in D2. The trick where you make an excuse to close the trade window before finalizing the trade and when you reopen the trade window, you put some useless item with the same icon in it.
A very educating experience, it never happened again :)
First online game was D2, and ive always been a necro to the core.
And my first fail, was when i realised once i reached Diablo that my build was horrible, i had put most of my skills points in skeleton, skeleton mages, and revives without any in mastery, without any curse, and couple sp in bonewall, because i wanted and loved having a huge army fighting for me..
Ofc i got my ass handed to me (ps it was also horrible in act2 sanctuary coz of skelly pathing)
@xXzurakaruzeXx I used to scam ALOT in D2. Never through any third part software. Just the "Drop your items on the other side of the fence..." And when they did, i teleported over and picked it up. This was before enigma, so paladins teleporting wasn't very common. I apologize for my ways! I wasn't very old and it made my heart pound like mad. A nice feeling, but i regret it now so please forgive me and those of us who have seen the light :3
I played neverwinter nights where i made custom invincible gear with the map editor. Loaded my character into the custom map, picked up gear and then loged online where people were "what the fudge, where did you get all that kool stuff", and junk. So it was great :D, untill i got banned :/
Whirlwind was never crappy. It's uninterruptable, maxes your block while attacking/moving, block locks with rapid swings, and hits multiple enemies. They nerfed it because it was ridiculously OP in early releases. It wasn't meant to be the highest damage, but it was the most versatile. Whirlwind was still the main build right up until synergies came out.
Barbarian seems like the most gear dependent class though. Other classes could just stack +skills and faceroll, and bowazon was just broken.
@PoweredByMagnets ya i was bowazon and it raped with pierce. WW barb was my moms first char online anyway so she was due for a remake, (she did fury barb i think after that)
now everyone just rolls hammerdin, before wasn't the good pally the smite one who ran really fast?
@NewbVeronica I'm guessing they roll hammerdin now because of teleport armor. Paladin is flexible though, nearly anything does well. The fist of the heavens builds were the nastiest for PvP but not many people used them.

Diablo 2 just came out but I didnt get enough money till a year latter for a present so I spent most of my first diablo time on diablo spawn, had hackers hack me in part of the game that would get me to level 30, and when I finially had d2 I didnt realize the secured hack free version of battle net version till 4 years latter. But light saber swords, sojs, and chips were the currency and runes were crap till another year or two.
@fightttttt the only time i went to the non-ladder hacky version of D2 was for my friend can make me that shiny white set with like +500 to every stat and make you invincible. I just thought it was pretty. i dont mind soj or runes as the currency. back when soj's were the currency i made gear scamming but when i went back and runes were the currency it was easy to farm runes or trade gear for P gems.
@NewbVeronica Reason I played the hack version is I thought open battlenet and plain battlenet had the same security as a kid, open battlenet had my characters that were on single player so I played that one. Yea white sets were good, almost made me wanted to use sigon. I didnt scam unless you mean rip off dumbasses. I scamed advenchally, if you killed somone naked 12x and told them to put there armor on, all their items would drop when you killed them, thats some good satisfaction.
First online game? Cartoon network auction house with czones was the shit, then it was all about coke music, then spawn when I found out I had it from when a friend came over and downloaded it, I was just trying to hope the game would work and when diablo spawn came on I was surprised and happy because my hopes the game would glitch work, concidering I was between 9 and 11
Mine was Diablo 1 I think...the short of it is everybody hacked and so basically if you didn't, you'd get PKed (And drop everything you're wearing on the ground) So obviously I ended up getting God mode in that game, but I decided to hunt down PKers. =) The old days of PKs vs PKKs. I have no idea how old I was...umm..maybe 10.
Haha this was awesome, i remember when i started playing wow in vanilla (i was about 11) my dad got me into it and i started playing a rogue, i skipped like 60% of quests cause i didnt like them, didnt do any of the class quests, didnt end up getting poisons until about level 50 XD and back before that when i played runescape i remember people tricking me to come out into the wilderness and they would kill me and i would lose my stuff and cry ;( lol. i like you piercing btw :D
Actually druid wolves and bears had the original synergies, before patch 1.10 brought skill synergies into the game. Even as the expansion came out (patch 1.07) skill points in either type of wolf or in grizzly bear helped boost the other pets. So that druid probably wasn't too terrible.
My first character was a necromancer, and I had skill points across the board. I didn't have trouble at all though till I got creamed in nightmare. I was stunned that the difficulty ramped up so quickly.
@TheReaverOfDarkness oh yeah!! but i never committed to pets, i just wanted them out so it was like 2-3 skills each of horriblenes. i never liked necro, they made my shitty AOL lag @______@
I remember playing necromancer and barbarian for like a year before I found out they were terrible in the current patch. I thought all along that I was just bad at the game. I made a lightning javazon and pwned everything easily. It's so unbalanced it's not even funny, but it was so fun blasting everything with lightning fury.
Nice story, My first online game was also Diablo but it was the first one. I was just amazed being online interacting with my RL friend inside of diablo doing co op lol. Eventually I had my cousin get into it. Once we had beaten the game several times we kinda all started turning on each other LOL! I'd soon find out that I had a good PK build. I'd get kill my cousin a lot and take his gold. He'd just say "10k gold hand it over". I just replied watch your tone boy, here's your gold lol.

I always used to play warcraft 3 online and would stay up till like 6 in the morning playing tower defense and defense of the ancients. I actually enjoyed the campaign's too because they actually had an interesting story even if it was a RTS.

@NewbVeronica The LOTR games were badass too, there was nothing more awesome than playing through as one of those characters and actually seeing what it would be like to have an actual battle with thousands of warriors. Or traveling through the mines of moria, it's quite nostalgic and it makes me want the game again. Yeah, I also remember seeing those porn games, but it makes me question how people could play and "play" at the same time? that is some serious multitasking.

ah okay, well My first online game (not telling you o3o) i never really knew what the point to this games were all i knew was i had my little dagger and i could kill monsters. I actually never did quests (i never got them point to them) so i killed monsters till lvl 21 or so. I was always fascinated about playing online with real people but i was so noob that i had to ask the other players if they were real people online. T_T
First fail? Diablo 1. It was the v ery first time I went down to fight the butcher with a group of other randoms. This was around the time that I was like 10 or so. D1 had been out for awhile but I had been playing it. We ended up getting to the butcher and he murdered everyone easily and I was so scared of him killing me that I ended up escaping OUT of the game and shut off my game immediatley. Lol. I still remember being so scared that I didn't go to Level 2 for a whole week after that. LOL.
Haha! This was a great vid! Makes me nostalgia so hard. I remember when i was around 8 years old, i invited all my classmates to a computer café at my birthday. So 8 eight kids playing diablo 1 for the first time. We started hacking and slashing the skeletons and stuff. Then one of us found a weird square room at lvl 2 and openen it "Arhh Fresh meat!" I will never forget that sound. Even though we were 8 on him, he slaughtered us all. Such a good time :3

@FoxtrotMikeLimaXD this can happen in ff11 too. it got fixed later because sometimes high lvs would 'train' a zone on purpose to kill all the low lvls who would zone in.

@NewbVeronica Lol, I'm all too familiar. I def remember trying to run to some town to get Chocobos and shop at a better auction. About 12 of us decided we would make a mad dash for it. We could make it in a group right? Sort of... I think we arrived with 6 or 7. Ahh... Good times. I'm sensing a theme here. Anyway, keep it up. I'm surprised you played FF11. I gave it a try, but the grinding was rough and communication/parties/combos were hard (although the Japanese phrase tool was nice).

My first assassin was similar... Was a single player char. Got to about lvl 43 but then after that i got stuck on act 3 NM. Reason being that i had 1 skill point in every skill possible. And adding to that the fact that i was about 12 at the time and really sucked at the game - well any game to be honest - so i simply could not advance any further. Makes me proud :P

Oh memories, haha, I couldn't stop grinning listening to those stories. One of my first "fails" was in Diablo 2: I poured points into Fist of the Heavens on my Paladin when I only played PvM, and this was before synergies and patches actually made FoH any good.
I figured because it was a level 30 skill it must be good, right? When it didn't work out it must be because I only had a couple of points in it.
I ended up unable to kill anything... I gave up on him when I met my first light immune lol

I started with a druid too. It was funny doing bloody foothill runs with others and people would rush in and kill you. Good times. I hope they re-implement the hostility feature in d3. The arenas just wont cut it. Thanks for sharing your vid :) Funny how you wanted to go back and get revenge LOL.

I fell for the soj ring switch con in the trade screen. I lost Frostburns, which were the best gloves in those pre-LoD days. It's funny b/c now, people won't even pick up frosties.

I think my first online game fail was on diablo 1. Someone showed me how to dupe skill books or any item by dropping them on the floor and while picking it up; if I were to pick up a hp or mana potion, then the potion would turn into the item itself. The original item would go in my inventory while my potion would turn into the exact duplicate of the original item.

in lineage II when I was lvl 20 aprox, I had worked my ass off for a sword that cost a lot of money for my lvl (x1 server btw).A few days after having bought the sword, I had to sell it because I as broke. So I offered it to this guy, who told me his trade function was bugged and made me go outside of town(both in party and whoever picks up drop in random mode) so he said "ill drop the adena and you the weapon" I dropped it and i picked it up again because he didn't move.He got the sword.Pk'd me

mine was diablo 2 as well. it was duringone of the first d2 ladder seasons and i had all of the best gear for my necro... silks sojs, +2 rare amulet right when they were released, my bad ass wormskull, lances were first released and there was this lance that ws insane good. dual leech +skills, +str, it was worth about 20 sojs. i traded everything i owned for a pike that looked like that lance because the fucker switched his shit in the trade.... this was before when you had to wait to trade.

Thats pretty lol xD i cant recall any big fails on my first game but i did get like Scammed for my first rare item on Ragnarok online i suck at trades and there were alot of untrust worthy people i was trying to sell this item and it just so happened that one guy wanted to trade his item for mine (item A) his Item B and then another guy (Item C which was what i wanted) so i was going to trade Item A for B than B for C but i only got B and seller of C Ran off they were working together >.>

My first big failure was getting trade scammed in D2. The trick where you make an excuse to close the trade window before finalizing the trade and when you reopen the trade window, you put some useless item with the same icon in it.
A very educating experience, it never happened again :)

First online game was D2, and ive always been a necro to the core.
And my first fail, was when i realised once i reached Diablo that my build was horrible, i had put most of my skills points in skeleton, skeleton mages, and revives without any in mastery, without any curse, and couple sp in bonewall, because i wanted and loved having a huge army fighting for me..
Ofc i got my ass handed to me (ps it was also horrible in act2 sanctuary coz of skelly pathing)

@xXzurakaruzeXx I used to scam ALOT in D2. Never through any third part software. Just the "Drop your items on the other side of the fence..." And when they did, i teleported over and picked it up. This was before enigma, so paladins teleporting wasn't very common. I apologize for my ways! I wasn't very old and it made my heart pound like mad. A nice feeling, but i regret it now so please forgive me and those of us who have seen the light :3

I played neverwinter nights where i made custom invincible gear with the map editor. Loaded my character into the custom map, picked up gear and then loged online where people were "what the fudge, where did you get all that kool stuff", and junk. So it was great :D, untill i got banned :/

Whirlwind was never crappy. It's uninterruptable, maxes your block while attacking/moving, block locks with rapid swings, and hits multiple enemies. They nerfed it because it was ridiculously OP in early releases. It wasn't meant to be the highest damage, but it was the most versatile. Whirlwind was still the main build right up until synergies came out.
Barbarian seems like the most gear dependent class though. Other classes could just stack +skills and faceroll, and bowazon was just broken.

@NewbVeronica I'm guessing they roll hammerdin now because of teleport armor. Paladin is flexible though, nearly anything does well. The fist of the heavens builds were the nastiest for PvP but not many people used them.

Diablo 2 just came out but I didnt get enough money till a year latter for a present so I spent most of my first diablo time on diablo spawn, had hackers hack me in part of the game that would get me to level 30, and when I finially had d2 I didnt realize the secured hack free version of battle net version till 4 years latter. But light saber swords, sojs, and chips were the currency and runes were crap till another year or two.

@fightttttt the only time i went to the non-ladder hacky version of D2 was for my friend can make me that shiny white set with like +500 to every stat and make you invincible. I just thought it was pretty. i dont mind soj or runes as the currency. back when soj's were the currency i made gear scamming but when i went back and runes were the currency it was easy to farm runes or trade gear for P gems.

@NewbVeronica Reason I played the hack version is I thought open battlenet and plain battlenet had the same security as a kid, open battlenet had my characters that were on single player so I played that one. Yea white sets were good, almost made me wanted to use sigon. I didnt scam unless you mean rip off dumbasses. I scamed advenchally, if you killed somone naked 12x and told them to put there armor on, all their items would drop when you killed them, thats some good satisfaction.

Cartoon network auction house with czones was the shit, then it was all about coke music, then spawn when I found out I had it from when a friend came over and downloaded it, I was just trying to hope the game would work and when diablo spawn came on I was surprised and happy because my hopes the game would glitch work, concidering I was between 9 and 11

Mine was Diablo 1 I think...the short of it is everybody hacked and so basically if you didn't, you'd get PKed (And drop everything you're wearing on the ground) So obviously I ended up getting God mode in that game, but I decided to hunt down PKers. =) The old days of PKs vs PKKs. I have no idea how old I was...umm..maybe 10.

Haha this was awesome, i remember when i started playing wow in vanilla (i was about 11) my dad got me into it and i started playing a rogue, i skipped like 60% of quests cause i didnt like them, didnt do any of the class quests, didnt end up getting poisons until about level 50 XD and back before that when i played runescape i remember people tricking me to come out into the wilderness and they would kill me and i would lose my stuff and cry ;( lol. i like you piercing btw :D

Actually druid wolves and bears had the original synergies, before patch 1.10 brought skill synergies into the game. Even as the expansion came out (patch 1.07) skill points in either type of wolf or in grizzly bear helped boost the other pets. So that druid probably wasn't too terrible.
My first character was a necromancer, and I had skill points across the board. I didn't have trouble at all though till I got creamed in nightmare. I was stunned that the difficulty ramped up so quickly.

I remember playing necromancer and barbarian for like a year before I found out they were terrible in the current patch. I thought all along that I was just bad at the game. I made a lightning javazon and pwned everything easily. It's so unbalanced it's not even funny, but it was so fun blasting everything with lightning fury.

Nice story, My first online game was also Diablo but it was the first one. I was just amazed being online interacting with my RL friend inside of diablo doing co op lol. Eventually I had my cousin get into it. Once we had beaten the game several times we kinda all started turning on each other LOL! I'd soon find out that I had a good PK build. I'd get kill my cousin a lot and take his gold. He'd just say "10k gold hand it over". I just replied watch your tone boy, here's your gold lol.

I always used to play warcraft 3 online and would stay up till like 6 in the morning playing tower defense and defense of the ancients. I actually enjoyed the campaign's too because they actually had an interesting story even if it was a RTS.

@NewbVeronica The LOTR games were badass too, there was nothing more awesome than playing through as one of those characters and actually seeing what it would be like to have an actual battle with thousands of warriors. Or traveling through the mines of moria, it's quite nostalgic and it makes me want the game again. Yeah, I also remember seeing those porn games, but it makes me question how people could play and "play" at the same time? that is some serious multitasking.

ah okay, well My first online game (not telling you o3o) i never really knew what the point to this games were all i knew was i had my little dagger and i could kill monsters. I actually never did quests (i never got them point to them) so i killed monsters till lvl 21 or so. I was always fascinated about playing online with real people but i was so noob that i had to ask the other players if they were real people online. T_T

First fail? Diablo 1. It was the v ery first time I went down to fight the butcher with a group of other randoms. This was around the time that I was like 10 or so. D1 had been out for awhile but I had been playing it. We ended up getting to the butcher and he murdered everyone easily and I was so scared of him killing me that I ended up escaping OUT of the game and shut off my game immediatley. Lol. I still remember being so scared that I didn't go to Level 2 for a whole week after that. LOL.

So 8 eight kids playing diablo 1 for the first time. We started hacking and slashing the skeletons and stuff. Then one of us found a weird square room at lvl 2 and openen it "Arhh Fresh meat!" I will never forget that sound. Even though we were 8 on him, he slaughtered us all. Such a good time :3

I had like 1 point in each skill because i thought ninjas was supposed to be able to do alot of things, yet all i ended up doing was punching the monsters in the face with my cracked katar. Lol.
