  • Dont they just sound great now those Mollenhauers! They make a fine team, Michala and Nikolaj!

  • There is also Mario Brunello!

  • Why Michaela Petri play as computer?

  • I've been looking for a long time for recordings made with the Mollenhauer Modern. To me it has a superb sound!

  • Wonderful! Brought me closer to God!

  • That's a really nice concert hall. Where is it?

  • @bassbass99able Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli, Reggio Emilia, Italy.

  • @DodecaFab11235 Thanks for replying.

  • Una conversación inteligente y profunda entre artistas.

  • seems a little bit FASTER

  • Beat that!

  • Never heard any better... too perfect almost... it scares me when it is too perfect...

  • Who is the second recorder player? He's matching Michala very well. I've tended to see the second part as as little harder than the first, and been thankful that I've generally been asked to play first.

  • @SuperMiddle10 The second player is Nikolaj Tarasov who collaborate with Mollenhauer to make the Modern Recorders they played

  • hwy they are standing??? where were all chairs in this marvelous hall???

  • My favorite performance of the Brandenburg Concerto ever, Claudio Abbado is a wonderful and talented conductor, and the Orchestra Mozart just feed of his passion and energy..... I will not see another performance of this standard in my lifetime.

  • Heard this many years ago, but not much since then... so good...

  • My best Branderburg concerto and again Michala Petri's talent can visibly shown, wonderful orchestra and an excelent leading violinist, what else I want, just thank for the life and work of JS Bach, to you for uploading this brilliant interpretation and to God that has given me this wonderful sence of appreciation for JS Bach and others, Praise the Lord!

  • here i am again to congratulate the musicians and conductor doing the brandenburg concerti. you guys are so great. i played classical violin i high school, but when i went to college i quit. i mentioned i have cancer in another post and i want to thank ya'll personally for the beautiful way you do these-it really does help me to hear you! thanks again!

  • I'm sure the specific musicians could play equally well without the maestro.

  • @douskara I doubt it. Abbado has the ability to inspire, and his players really visibly enjoy their performances.

  • Abbado's hands were amazing...! ;-)

  • think we're doing haydn next year but im dropping this yearr

    amm not enjoying it :|

will be glad to see the back of it tbh

  • gotta do this for my music a level

is better than some of the other ones we have to do :|

  • What, like the Berlioz one?

  • @Luiantval

    nahhh

we have to do shostkocivh which kills me to listen to

    montiverdi and some others :|

    not good

  • I see! Well, things seemed to have changed since I was in college. There were a few good pieces we had to analyse, such as this piece as well as a Haydn one, but we also had Berlioz (Some piece with the name 'Harold In Italy' - check it out if you like) and a Debussy one which weren't too nice. A2 was better as we had the 3rd movement from Brahm's Piano Quintet to analyse, which is, musically, one of the best things I've heard.

  • The best !

  • Beautiful!

  • When was this performed? and Where? It's fantastic? How can I buy the entire series?

  • Teatro Valli [Reggio Emilia, Italy] april 21 2007

  • This is TOO GOOD man just brilliant.i can't describe!

  • someone know if is posible to buy the entire concert (in dvd quality obvius..) , if exist....

  • The whole concert of Brandenburgs was broadcast on Sky last year and I was lucky enough to catch it.

  • MICHALA PETRI... LEGEND

  • Yes Michala Petri is the Queen of the Baroque Recorder. I've been in awe of her talent since I was a teenager. I could only fantasize about having a 10th of her talent.

  • Yes but she had a Danish predecessor: Irmgard Knopf Mathiesen! I bought her LP where she played 2 Handel sonatas. And then I played at the same time as her. (trying to follow her exactly.) That´s how I Iearned to play the recorder! (Irmgard was my only teacher. Without even knowing it!) :-D

  • is there any way that you can find the Branderburg No. 6 performed by the same players? Sorry, I am just facinated with those players, if you can fing that, I would be really thankful to you

  • i believe those players you are fascinated by would be happier if you went buying it in a music shop, instead of asking other people to upload it....the dvd with all the brandeburg concertos was published at least an year ago...
