I remember Muthemba saying that we have given a herdsman a government to lead. He was only best at leading cattle, so that is why he had a big stick to hit whoever did not dance to his tune. That is why he messaged the economy. After so much work done by Kibaki, the country's economy is bigger, we hope that we are going to vindicate him because of the 2007 elections in which I am not sure whether he was elected.
Before Moi's rain of terror, Kenya experienced the disappearence of Kungu Karumba followed by unsolved gruesome assassination of JM Kariuki. A colonialist Patrick Shaw, the then director of Starehe Boys Center was one of the characters directly involved in JM's death.Tribalism, which is blamed for many of the Kenya's woes, is a tool used by people like Patrick Shaw to rule Kenya by chosen proxies. Kenya's ruling elites are merely security guards for foreign powers ruling Kenya through them!
hi, congratulations for this video, I like it. do you know where I could find such songs like the one in the video (where Kenyatta dies) and especially this one that goes like "akina baba akina mama na watoto ...")and related ones. or just advice me on how I can obtain them. I will appreciate. please thanks
the meaning of democracy is to give loans to kikuyus, built roads in central, kill r valley politicians, silence the idps as if they are nothing, reduce smart rutos, bribe the dictator moi, still elections from raila, erace videos immedately-slapping media guys, and shootin on site.Oh my God!
Ruto,Raila, Uhuru are in power and they could do a lot within current capacities but there is no incentive to . One day they'll have it all , they will do even less. The Luo will burn tires and houses The Kalenjin will shoot more Kikuyus with their poisoned arrows , The Kikuyu will be as self centered as they ever been and Kambas will die of hunger even more. The country will continue to teeter , blame games will still rage and we will all wait for the next election to "show them".
tyty1794...if you believe in this tribal stereo-typing, i bet you agree with "jungus" & akataa saying Africans are little smiley sambos, come from hanging & living on trees before "hitting" u s a

MOI did what he had to do for the greater good if u were in his shoes u would have done tha same FOR THE GREATER GOOD. look all around us at that time young nation trying to getting on its feet in my opinion we as Kenyans did the best we could.LOOK AROUND. OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO US.
Its all clear why Moi turned out a dictator...thanks to the 1982 coup'
and one of the people behind it realized a military gov'n wouldnt work and jumped into the bandwagon of politics???? C'mon Kenyans....how can you be so #$%^&^%#@ and forget too soon.....yet have the audacity to vote for him? I wasnt around in 82' and have unbelievable hatred for him. I'm not part of GEMA / Luo tribes and i'm not rooting for anyone of my tribe either( i dont do tribal politics so i also wont disclose my tribe)
A very well organized documentary. Listening to the song that was dedicated to Kenyatta's death took me back instantly to when i was 4 years old. The power of Music. I'm curious to see part 2 of this documentary, after what happened in the aftermath of the elections mentioned above.
hi there, sorry seeing this monhs later. If you go to the whydemmocracy site, they have the 12 minute updated version with additional three minutes that I cut into this in February this year....
its a good article but the real demorcracy has not yet reached kenya. kibaki help with the idot kengeza martha karua i hate this woman alot. thus why there is story of her chasing a woman with a knife this woman was competing for her jamaa men. she not good at alllllllll she thinks every one sholud follow what she says. thats why during the mediation she forced annan to adjourn the sitting because of her temper and her insults to the mediation team
Kama zamani...chunga manyani! The big man lost the chance to unite Kenyans and the tribal seed he planted matured into a big tree on 27 December 2007. No single man saved Kenya from anything, it was a team effort! Please do not preach lies¨!?!
Thanks for the powerful and passionate narration. I am Ugandan and you know we have had our share of problems, small in our societies, magnified by greedy leaders and sustained by poverty. But I hope that we shall get ourselves out of this mess if we can look at ourselves as a country than as an ethnic group. We have lost our children to ethnic differences, in Rwanda, name it. Why won't we embrace empathy, put behind ourselves, ethnic differences and live as a country, one for another.
Who is the lady speaking in this video? Such a lovely voice. Was this made for television ama????
