you provoke an enemy who has no ranged attack (i.e. Radscorpion) so he will follow you, then you run to the position where the oponent is (i.e. bot)

The game system uses different faction and aggressive level, so NPC/Creatures can be hostlie to each other and fight.

Sometimes you find death outcasts killed by Deathclaw (Old Olney), Raiders fight against enclave etc.

I use a mod which adds new factions and there are some places where they fight each others; dam good battle scenes :)
