Get yourself one of these Crock Stick systems... they're about $15 and they are simple and put a great edge back on your blades in no time. I mean there's better systems out there, but there's definitely worse too.
Thanks for that tip about the eraser too... I am going to try that right now. Is it the rectangular pink erasers you're talking about... I have some of those I can try.
I would love to see YT knife guru do a how-to for sharpening different style serration. I mean when I try to sharpen a serrated knife that really when my balls shrivel up. Great vid!!!
Yeah sharpening serrations is not the easiest thing to do... but it can be done easier and easier with each time you do it. The Crock Sticks can do the larger serrations, but it doesn't do as good on the smaller ones. The best system I've found for serrated blades is the Spyderco Sharpmaker... I hope to get one soon.
Yeah that's what I was trying to think of... steel wool.
The non-metallic green scouring pads work better, but I didn't have any on hand and my wife would have got pissed if I used the last one for my rod, LMAO!
I've never tried the Smiths sharpeners, but this Lansky works great for the price. I wanted a Spyderco Sharpmaker, but I damn sure didn't want to pay for it... maybe later, haha.
lmfao poish your rod lol X4CTO

Great vid man. You can also use a block eraser for pencils to clean up your rods too. I use that on my ceramic stones.

Yeah these Crock Sticks are only about $15 or so and very much worth more than that. It helps me keep all my blades nice and hair splitting sharp.
