I saw someone on the net once that put a manual 6-speed in the 740 :) ... worked nicely... I think they supercharged it later, can't remember so nicely now.
It was in the first Transporter movie. A 735. People said that it was a one off but I've seen a few E38's in Europe with 6-speeds. I saw a write up where a go swapped the S62 engine, the 6-speed transmission and diff from an E39 M5 into an E38 7-series.
yea it`s a automatic, steptronic. you can install the m5 exhaust easily. you need only the left side from the m5, rebuilt exhaust mounting, adjust m-bumper for the 2 exhaust pipe ends - thats it.

pod jakim względem jest cienki? ja właśnie planuje zamontowac taki do swojej 540i. Moim zdaniem "gładki" dźwięk wydechu M5 jest piękny :)
