Why don't you just use a Thunderus in your Rain Team? I mean it doesn't really matter if it's "uber" as long as you want to try it out. In a stratigic battle it should matter how "powerful" the pokemon is but how to use that pokemon. Garchomp in Sandstorm on the other hand is just a bitch and even noobs can sweep with them.

Spade, you can still use Excadrill, Thundurus, Blaziken and Deoxys-S, you can mix and match from different tiers! I never stick to one tier, it annoys me. >_>
And the fact that Smogon tier quite... badly. Some Pokemon are in stupid tiers for what they are. For example, Victini in UU, Sableye in BL and various other Pokemon like Blaziken. (seriously, I never see Blazikens. I don't see why Speed Boost automatically shoves it into Uber... -_-)
@JasonKipWright blaziken with speed boost is hard to defeat if you dont have a proper counter to it and becomes much more harder as the speed boosts accumulate. But that's just my opinion xD (I always get pwned in PO with the opponent having a blaziken, good thing i have a rain team with jellicent now :D)

If any pokémon should be banned from OU, it's Dragonite. It can survive any hit with multiscale and can heal itself with roost afterwards. He has high powered STABs and can turn most of the OU metagame into setup bait so he can tear through most teams. Not to mention that he pretty much forces you to run stealth rock so you can break multiscale. So many useful sets, so few good counters, this thing has ban me written all over him. Easy to see why he's flooding the metagame at the moment.
@hiimajerk Well I did make the point that it pretty much forces you to use stealth rocks. Dragonite is often packing roost too, so it can often be pretty much impossible to OHKO.
Honestly, I think Magnezone could be suspected. With HP Fire, and Thunderbolt, along with an air balloon, it can trap and kill nearly all of the steels in the OU metagame. Bronzong, Ferrothorn, Forretress, Metagross can get taken out by HP fire, sometimes unable to hit back. Skarmory is easily taken out by Thunderbolt. Wasn't a trapping ability what got Wobbuffet banned in the first place?
Volcarona and Dragonite are countered by stealth rocks so banning is not necessarily a good decision. Cloyster pisses me off. We probably won't see more banning until some major DW abilitys are released like Technician Breloom or Shadow Tag Shandelure.
Latios should be banned. Its stats are extremely high, and it has decent typing. It can pull off scarf, specs or expert belt sets, along with life orb and lefties.

In my opinion, blissey. Not because it's necessarily overpowered, but because it makes team selection very stale. Need a special wall? No use looking further, you won't find anything that can take hits better than blissey. Want wish support? Blissey again. Just want a really annoying to take down wall for your stall team? Blissey. Even if ubers were legal to use, just for defensive purposes, there still wouldn't be a better choice.
Dnite, its too good with fire punch, DDance, EQuake/Espeed and outrage. Ice pokemons arent good enough (maybe weavile with fake out and ice shard) , and hidden power doesnt one hit kil.
i would ban gastro cuz it is a bitch to take down without the grass knot which no one carries any more, scrafty is op cuz of sub bulk up shed skin bullcrap
Kakuna. STAB Bug-bite. With Eviolite extremely bulky. Shed-skin makes statuses useless. Choice Banded Kakuna does devastating amounts of damage to Psychics like Cress. I've also tried the Focus Sash set with bug-bite to ensure I steal the berry of threats like resto-chesto pokes and Haban Berry Garchomp.
the metagame is fairly balanced atm even though i get kinda scared when i see dnites cuz most people are running Lum berry sets with DD but theyre kinda walled by ferro or vaporeon sets
@PanduhFishh DNite isn't frail at all. 91/95/100 defenses are actually pretty bulky. Might not be walling material, but still, it can take a hit, and DNite destroys Ferrothorn with Fire punch/ Brick Break. But actually I still want it in OU otherwise I'll suck xD

@prowii52 It's not extremely high. It's lower than Regice's by about 50, who is NU/RU/UU. Steelix has a base defence stat of 200. Blissey's Special Defence stat is 135. So if a Gallade can 1 shot Steelix with a Close Combat, then it should belong in Ubers, whereas Thundurus needs a Nasty Plot to 2 shot a Blissey to stay in Ubers?
@03jnb maybe not extremely high, but its definitely capable of not getting OHKO'd by porygon z since they both have about the same base stat in terms of sp. def. and sp. att. respectively. plus, blissey's massive hp makes it even harder for porygon z.

And Gallade doesn't need a Swords Dance to OHKO Steelix. They may be really bulky defensive wise, but they are easily OHKO'd by Close Combat from Gallade and Terrakion. I own a Steelix, Gallade and Terrakion, and have used the first 2 a LOT.
Dragonite is quite OP, it's not to broken but if you let him set up and have nothing to deal with him, he's gonna tear through your team...kinda like excadrill used to. lum berry kinda gaurentees a set up if you get a free switch in with no rocks up too

@PanduhFishh It's not overpowered. There's plenty of other Pokemon that can 2HKO Blissey. Gallade can 1HKO Blissey with Close Combat, Terrakion possibly can too. And other Pokemon have great priority and great speed. I see no reason why Thundurus is banned. It's most likely from nooby players who cannot handle certain Pokemon, so they beg for it to be banned, so they don't have to deal with it anymore.

people are so ban happy as soon as something gets banned they think they need to pull out the BAN HAMMER on pokes that are overused (quite literally) if you see a pokemon too much in OU just put 1 or 2 more checks on your team to counter it like Multi scale D-nite stealth-Rs and icemoves fearing an ice move someone might switch out giving you a free turn stealth rocks will seriously cripple a D-nite it's really not that big of a deal your team just sucks if you can't deal with it
@Monferno391 vacuum wave, also fighting type. But don't forget that SS lowers your defenses. If he carries white herb and only goes for 1 SS, there are pokes than can live a hit and hit back for good damage.

Aren't Tornadus's and Thundurus's stats the same? If so, why is Thundurus banned and Tornadus not? The only thing Tornadus loses is Thunderbolt, which is replaced by Hurricane? Thunder and Hurricane are both godly in the rain, they both have access to Taunt and Rain Dance...
If Dragonite goes Uber it would be because of crazy versatility and not stats, all Dragonite sets can basically be ran by other pokemon like salamence physical attacker, or Latios special attacker. Dragonite can also play the role of a physical or special wall which can be pretty nasty but all you need is either a good sweeper with an ice move or a pokemon that knows rour/whirlwind so a defensive dragonite can't set up, example swampert, Dragonite's mainweakness isit's speed don't let it setup
Good game. I cant really think of anything thats really OP, if anything there is Multiscale D-Nite but I feel that is something you should prepare for and Stealth Rocks help check it. Whenever gen 5 gets Soul Dew, the Eon twins will go back up
I wouldn't ban anything right now, the metagame is pretty good. If there was one poke I had to ban though it would be Terrakion. It's duel STAB's rip apart anything that isn't Excadrill, and if you don't have priority it's pretty hard to revenge. The only reason it isn't banned is because everyone and their mom runs a Scizor on their team; 30% of teams have Scizor

Dragonite is a very uber,tier, type of pokemon it can go bulky or all out offensive and with multiscale its a monster to take out great movepool too can go choiced or not and also Volcorona is a scary pokemon itself with excadrill gone it can now sweep with one or two quiver dances up out speeding everything and taking rotom-wash hydro pumps like nothing.
I'm kind of on the fence with Dragonite, but I think I probably wouldn't ban it. Volcarona would be absolutely ridiculous to ban, considering how common Dragonite is now, as well as Heatran and to a lesser extent, Gyarados.
I think the OU metagame is pretty balanced right now and if you get wrecked by some poke, your team just sucks and it's not the poke which is overpowered.

I would ban Multiscale Dragonite because it's already difficult without super effective or high attack states to take it out and now it is even more difficult. Plus in a Rain Team it has 2 moves which it can use with 120 base attack that hit always not to mention that it's easier to get a DD with that bulk and outrage has 120 base attack now as well o.O
I have less problems to deal with Garchomps or Thunderuses

I don't think anything is OP in the OU metagame, but there's a lot of stuff you can argue is OP in the tier it happens to fall in.
For instance, honchkrow/sharpedo/MAYBE durant in RU, Mew/Mamoswine/scarfed Victini/MAYBE chansey/hippowdon + stoutland in UU, mesprit in NU
this is a really hastily thrown together list but the point is, OU is probably the MOST balanced tier right now

the metagame is fairly balanced atm even though i get kinda scared when i see dnites cuz most people are running Lum berry sets with DD but theyre kinda walled by ferro or vaporeon sets

@PanduhFishh DNite isn't frail at all. 91/95/100 defenses are actually pretty bulky. Might not be walling material, but still, it can take a hit, and DNite destroys Ferrothorn with Fire punch/ Brick Break. But actually I still want it in OU otherwise I'll suck xD

@PanduhFishh So if a physical attacker can 1 shot a Bulky Defensive Pokemon like Steelix or Cloyster, it should go to Ubers? Porygon-Z can most likely 1 shot a Blissey with Focus Blast.

@prowii52 It's not extremely high. It's lower than Regice's by about 50, who is NU/RU/UU. Steelix has a base defence stat of 200. Blissey's Special Defence stat is 135. So if a Gallade can 1 shot Steelix with a Close Combat, then it should belong in Ubers, whereas Thundurus needs a Nasty Plot to 2 shot a Blissey to stay in Ubers?

@03jnb maybe not extremely high, but its definitely capable of not getting OHKO'd by porygon z since they both have about the same base stat in terms of sp. def. and sp. att. respectively. plus, blissey's massive hp makes it even harder for porygon z.

@prowii52 Ehh, I've 1HKO'd a Blissey with Porygon-Z. It isn't indestructible, yet people moan about it ALL the time like it's a god or something.
And Gallade doesn't need a Swords Dance to OHKO Steelix. They may be really bulky defensive wise, but they are easily OHKO'd by Close Combat from Gallade and Terrakion. I own a Steelix, Gallade and Terrakion, and have used the first 2 a LOT.

Dragonite is quite OP, it's not to broken but if you let him set up and have nothing to deal with him, he's gonna tear through your team...kinda like excadrill used to. lum berry kinda gaurentees a set up if you get a free switch in with no rocks up too

@PanduhFishh It's not overpowered. There's plenty of other Pokemon that can 2HKO Blissey. Gallade can 1HKO Blissey with Close Combat, Terrakion possibly can too. And other Pokemon have great priority and great speed. I see no reason why Thundurus is banned. It's most likely from nooby players who cannot handle certain Pokemon, so they beg for it to be banned, so they don't have to deal with it anymore.

people are so ban happy as soon as something gets banned they think they need to pull out the BAN HAMMER on pokes that are overused (quite literally) if you see a pokemon too much in OU just put 1 or 2 more checks on your team to counter it like Multi scale D-nite stealth-Rs and icemoves fearing an ice move someone might switch out giving you a free turn stealth rocks will seriously cripple a D-nite it's really not that big of a deal your team just sucks if you can't deal with it

@Monferno391 vacuum wave, also fighting type. But don't forget that SS lowers your defenses. If he carries white herb and only goes for 1 SS, there are pokes than can live a hit and hit back for good damage.

@panfich Well yeah, I mean every Pokemon has a good counter. But no one really runs Vacuum Wave anymore. Considering most Lucarios are physical now. Cloyster can just rip through unprepared teams.

Aren't Tornadus's and Thundurus's stats the same? If so, why is Thundurus banned and Tornadus not? The only thing Tornadus loses is Thunderbolt, which is replaced by Hurricane? Thunder and Hurricane are both godly in the rain, they both have access to Taunt and Rain Dance...

If Dragonite goes Uber it would be because of crazy versatility and not stats, all Dragonite sets can basically be ran by other pokemon like salamence physical attacker, or Latios special attacker. Dragonite can also play the role of a physical or special wall which can be pretty nasty but all you need is either a good sweeper with an ice move or a pokemon that knows rour/whirlwind so a defensive dragonite can't set up, example swampert, Dragonite's mainweakness isit's speed don't let it setup

Good game. I cant really think of anything thats really OP, if anything there is Multiscale D-Nite but I feel that is something you should prepare for and Stealth Rocks help check it. Whenever gen 5 gets Soul Dew, the Eon twins will go back up

The only Pokemon I see getting banned in the far future are Victini (Most likely), Dragonite, Ferrothorn and Hydregion. And maybe even Terrakion too.

I wouldn't ban anything right now, the metagame is pretty good. If there was one poke I had to ban though it would be Terrakion. It's duel STAB's rip apart anything that isn't Excadrill, and if you don't have priority it's pretty hard to revenge. The only reason it isn't banned is because everyone and their mom runs a Scizor on their team; 30% of teams have Scizor

Dragonite is a very uber,tier, type of pokemon it can go bulky or all out offensive and with multiscale its a monster to take out great movepool too can go choiced or not and also Volcorona is a scary pokemon itself with excadrill gone it can now sweep with one or two quiver dances up out speeding everything and taking rotom-wash hydro pumps like nothing.

I'm kind of on the fence with Dragonite, but I think I probably wouldn't ban it. Volcarona would be absolutely ridiculous to ban, considering how common Dragonite is now, as well as Heatran and to a lesser extent, Gyarados.

SR basically means anything weak to rock could go down to OU, Ho-oh falters to rocks, Some lose 25% to SR, Exca could still be Uber due to Weather being a target for Uber, Draggy and Mence can't go Uber with the SR in play, Chomp resists SR, Deoxys-S Isn't that bad, Prioity Kills it, Zoroark is just shenaningans and should be targeted for Uber as if it gets Gengar as its Illusion, Randomness happens and yeah, Lugia could still stay uber even with the SR with it's bulk and Multiscale. My Thoughts

I would ban Multiscale Dragonite because it's already difficult without super effective or high attack states to take it out and now it is even more difficult. Plus in a Rain Team it has 2 moves which it can use with 120 base attack that hit always not to mention that it's easier to get a DD with that bulk and outrage has 120 base attack now as well o.O
I have less problems to deal with Garchomps or Thunderuses
