The odds doing all 6 numbers on one shooters session, should happen every 6100 times there is a 7 out...Or to put it another way, at a 5 player table : 16.7 outs / hour. = 368 hours between fire bets = 1 every two weeks. If the table was constantly busy.
wait a sec..explain the fire bet. I know you have to hit different points (ie you can't hit, say, a point of 6 2 times). But, what if a point is 8, make the pass, the next come out roll is 8 again? Does that lose the fire bet or not? Do you have to make 4 different points in a row? If the puck is 'off' can you roll a 7 and not affect the fire?
@awy1977 Good question. Once the point is hit, then the puck is "off" and a new point is made. It had to be a different point, so if the point is an 8, then you hit it, and it's 8 again, you only get credit for that first 8 until a new point is made. If you roll a seven and the passline wins when the point is off, it doesn't affect the board. Only when you completely crap out and the house clears the board, that's when it's over. Hope that answers your question.
I was at Imperial Palace 2 days ago and made the six point fire bet as the shooter. Unfortunately it was only my second time to play craps and I didn't even know how it worked, so i had no money on the fire bet. 2 guys down the table both had $5 on it and scored 5 grand each. They were Canadian and tipped no one LOL.
@ontheright1 Haha. It is a very difficult bet to win. I filmed the Video and can assure you that it was hit and each of the people that placed that $1 bet won $1000. The roll after this was taken didn't hit and it started all over again. It would have gotten them $2,500. I filmed two times prior on other rolls and posted the one that hit.
imperial palace = best place to play craps. worst place to live haha
i actually hit 4 points, but since it was my first time... had no idea about it. fortunately some stranger on the other side of the table got $500 from my luck
I was the one closest to the camera leaning over looking nervous at the beginning. I gave each of the 3 guys working $25, I think my buddy sean did the same. There was also an old japanese man off camera who won $5000, but I don't know about his tipping.
@flibberdajibbet lol I only took the video, so i'm really not sure. But I beleive I saw some $25 chips thrown their way by a few of the guys, but don't quote me on that.
I ALMOST hit 6 points 2 days ago, so freaking close we only needed the 10 and we hit it on the come out roll but not after :( Still had a dollar on Fire for $250 (5 points) and I have a dollar for the crew so they we're happy as well
@huggaz I wasn't part of the bet I was just at the table with them, but i think two of them had a dollar bet and another random guy also had a bet dowm. But 4 of them were friends there.
hah, that's awesome. Yeah, i had a feeling they would hit it, so i turned the camera on. I mean putting down a dollar and getting one thousand plus the pass line is a pretty good day.
That's a nice win...but I've been on a table at Rio where everyone had the max $5 on the fire bet and rolled all 6 points in less then 30 minutes. It was a quick $5000 each for everyone including myself. Needless to say we were just as excited as these guys!
seems like you guys had fun. i love craps. i was drunk once and put a $5 fire bet but then picked it up cause i thought it was a payment from a roll before they picked it up. i wouldver won 1000 too they reviewed it and everything. im poor and i was pissed but i played it cool and was like 1000? ppphhfffff
@lewiscook1991 Hey. Read some of the other comments and replies I have posted and you'll see what a fire bet it and how hard it is to win that bet. Thanks.
Awesome! I just found out that the only downtown Vegas property offering this is the Plaza. I will be heading down there in August. Hitting this is incredibly hard, I imagine considering 1 out of 6 rolls "should" be a 7.
I hit a 5-point fire bet at Harvey's in Stateline, NV @ Tahoe in '09. 250 on a dollar bet. Although the house edge is huge, it's still fun to see how far a dollar can take you.
Hell, if youre throwing 10 on the pass every time anyway, why not.
congrats man people dont realize how hard it is to accomplish this , i did a five dollar fire bet along with my wife and won 5000 dollar on our anniversary dec 12th, 2009... big props to anyone who does this!
Congrats man. The fire bet quickly became my favorite bet to play when it was introduced. We all know the house edge is crazy high, but I never fail to play at least a buck on it (usually 5 when I shoot). 3 times so far I've managed to hit 5 numbers with $5 on the fire bet, but never the sixth. Something to shoot for. Again, great job, and good job getting it on film without the pitboss giving you shit!
I could watch this video a zillion times and not tire of it. I love looking at everybody's reaction to hitting that final number on the fire bet. Check out the couple at the end of the table with the flowered shirts. One guy jumps on the back his pal.. The girl at the closer end, hardly reacts. Then there is the mope with his baseball hat on backwards wishing he even had $1 to bet.
@breiningac .The bet is that the shooter will make at least four individual points. The key word is individual. If a point is re marked, it does not count. In general, this bet has limits of $1 to $5. It pays either 25/250/1000 to 1 on four, five, or six individual points, or 10/200/2000.
Although hitting the fire bet even once can easily make a dice session, the bet is actually one of the worst on the table, with a house edge of 21-25%. But when it his, you win big, and only lose a $1.
@donovanj2005 Hey Thanks for the reply, I just now got it LOL. And go figure I am now a craps dealer as well. Our state does not have the fire bet yet though.
@lewiscook1991 Well the point is the number you have to roll to make all wagers on the pass line win. When the point is OFF, when someone rolls the dice, rolling a 7 or an 11 will be a winner. If a 4, 5, 6,8, 9, or 10 is rolled, it becomes the "point" meaning you need to hit that same number again, to be a winner. Once the point is hit, the point is OFF and you need to establish a new point before you "crap out" by hitting a 7 when the point is ON. So they had to hit 6 points, to get the $1,000.
I've played craps lots of times and the fire bet is so much fun, altho I only won once on it hit 4 points off a dollar paid $25 but hitting all of them I would've made a grand :)
I played craps for the 1st time about 2 months ago. My first roll was 26 minutes long. Does the FIRE BET pays out ONLY after 6 points being hit or after 4 points, then 5 points, then 6 points?
It pays 25-1 for 4 points, 250-1 for 5 points, and 1000-1 for 6 points. (I'm the one with my hand over my mouth at the beginning looking super nervous.) My buddy sean rolled for about 40 minutes before we both won the grand.
YES! It's such a rare bet to win that a lot of people don't want to spend that much especially on a low-limit table. It was a $10 minimum, some tables are $20 and $50. They wished that they had bet more, but winning 1000X your bet is pretty damn good. The house edge is an enormous 20%-25% so people don't usually wast their money on that bet, tho the minimum is $1, far less than the $10 pass line limit. Some places have a higher payout so $5 would pay $10,000.

fire bet is one of the worst odds bets in a casino.
you have a much better shot of betting $1. on a straight up number at roulette and hitting it two in a row (letting it ride) and winning $1225.

while this seems pretty cool, if you look it up it's the worst possible bet on the table, with a house edge of over 20%.

@donovanj2005 what you mean individual points? so she has to roll a 1 2 3 4? seperatly?
