Skate series is so realistic. But were tony hawks games trying to make there games unrealistic? Ive been a fan on tonyhawks games, but now i feel like a change.

Yeah the skate was meant to make it more enteractive, its all about how each different button on the controller interacts with a certain aspects of the physics that were created into this game, so you can almost have your own style really in a way, its a great game to chill and play. i like playing realistically, i dont like super crazy tricks like in tony hawks, tony hawk is more for just crazy insane trick scores and bright lights flashing, but skate is more chill and relaxing to me

Because when i used to play tony hawks, i used to try my best to make it as realistic as possible, by trying not to go to high on the half pipe not crouching all the time, even tho i couldnt. So, skate has introducted a thing that ive wanted for years. Ive got ea skate, and its good. Havent got skate 2 yet though, havent been bothered to buy it.

if i had to answer the question of do you think it was intentional or not, let me go into that.

When tony hawks were made the designing software and game engines that were available in the public market were nowhere NEAR as advanced as somthing like the xbox 360, which today seems standard.

I honestly believe the goal with tony hawk couldnt have been complete realistic because they didnt have the abilty, So i think their main goal was the oooo aaa factor, which is crazy tricks and high scores

Ok great point, i never played that so i wouldnt have known but if thats the case then i would surely say that tony hawks when it was created was limited, and it created its own unique style, so then they tried to bring that vibe to the xbox and im guessing maybe changed up a few things.

Tony hawk is trademark for insane high scores and nasty lines and tricks, so i would say YES they initially created their games that way, and then stuck with it. EA and neversoft are two different companies

They are two different companies with two different budgets and two different philsophies.. I would definitley assume that ideas, brainstorming, creativness, diversity , and marketing stradegies all had an impact on the exact way in which both games were created.
