Don't feel bad -- my first time out alone I was in a similar situation with the shore dump, except my leash was hopelessly tangled in a huge clump of seaweed. Three feet from shore and getting hammered. Talk about a kook moment.

the only thing i hate about surfing is people who think there tough shit. when i first started i was 17 and some people were nice about helping and others were complete dicks. i even asked questions on online forums and there were still people bashing me and calling me a kook. luckily i didnt really care too much, but ive made sure now to help out any1 who needs it. in my opinion kooks are only beginners who talk mad shit and can't back it up, not this guy. yes been to sebastian, Florida has on average a small break, go to Maine and see how much more consistantly big the surf is. There are some big days here, i have been out in 10ft swells and it is nice i just wish more days were like that here. There are plenty of places along the cost that are good i know someone that swears by Hillsburo, I like Juno just because it doesnt get too cramped by other people.

Yeah, I've surfed Ponce Inlet but it's shark bite capital of the world nowadays. Sebastian is pretty consistent and has nice breaks. Cocoa Pier is nice sometimes. I enjoy the company to be honest, just as long as their not rude.
